Wow!!! Definitely a project I’ve been balking at mounting my speakers where my mirrors are on my Wave Raider Now the 1/2 day to install the system doesn’t look so bad Lol
First thing I do is pull the soark plugs, then remove the pto cover and see if I can turn the pto by hand. If not then drop the pump. If the engine still won't turn over maybe remove the starter for one last test before pulling the engine.
Those domes look great. Cylinder walls look good from what I can see. The black box on the left behind the fuel tank holds the trim motor which goes out on some of those. KATS kawasaki automatic trim system. Except it was manually operated on the 900 and had an auto mode on the 1100 of that year. You do have a hole in the driveshaft to put a screwdriver in by the pto to try and turn that output shaft. Btw those trim motors arent cheap and I bet both of yours work. About 450.00 for that crank. If the cylinders and pistons are good you could get away with just buying rings, but I would replace all of it myself. I got brand new sbt pistons on ebay for 50 bucks before. They are usually 100 and another 100 for a gasket set. 800 bucks and the engine is like new. You could sell the ski for 2500 to 3000.
As I told you once you inspired me to start this channel. I never thought about videoing what I did as a hobby until I watched your first videos.

If you mount the speakers I hope you make a video. I've got a couple of speakers that I would like to do the same, but don't know how.
Mine was doing the same ended up being the impeller! It was stuck!
And I removed the head before finding out the real problem!

I used the old spark plugs to pull it up
