    Thank you for this excellent step by step tutorial! It only took me 2 hours ( the blower nut was stuck, used a tiny drop of machine oil on a Q-tip around the thing and it came off easier) 😅 There was a lot of lint inside the blower and hair /string around the center screw. Now (once cleaned) it works quieter.

    My Samsung dryer had a vibration that wasn’t particularly loud, but it shook in a strange way that caused resonance in other rooms in the house. When I got the dryer apart I expected to see damage to the blower wheel or a significant wobble when it turned. But I couldn’t see any damage to the blower wheel, there wasn’t any lint causing an imbalance and any wobble in the blower wheel was really minor. But despite my inability to see the damage, the new blower wheel definitely is better balanced. The vibration is gone. One additional tip I would add to this video is that after the blower wheel nut was removed, I found the actual blower wheel wouldn’t come off as depicted in this video. It was held on to the shaft with an adhesive. To get it off, I heated the shaft with a heat gun for maybe a minute and it came right off. Hope that tip helps somebody. Otherwise this video is spot on.

    I removed the nut and like others couldn't get the fan off the motor rod. Tried a heat gun almost to the point of melting the fan and still couldn't get it off. So frustrating after getting this close to being able to replace the motor. The factory killed me with whatever glue they use on models after 2013.

    I had a sock caught in fan blades. Removed the sock and it worked perfectly.

    These blowers do NOT just " slide right off " once you get the nut off of it.

    I took my dryer completely apart after it was making a very loud horrid grinding/electric buzzy noise. The blower wheel seems to be a little off center, turned a little. The front rim of the wheel has a groove in it as if something was rubbing and cause some damage. Do I need to just change the wheel? Or do I need to switch out the whole motor because something is causing the wheel to be rubbed and damaged? Thank you!

      Did you ever figure it out? I have the same issue

    • @Hollywood49
      @Hollywood49 3 роки тому

      Same issue here. The wheel isn’t broken, but the back side of the wheel rubs against the aluminum housing. If I loosen the nut, the noise goes away. When I put the nut back on, the noise returns.

      Struggled with mine for like 1/2 hour before reading this comments. Used the heat gun for like 10 min and it still wouldn’t come off, hit the nut with flathead and pliers, impact gun and thats how i got it off. Had a sock stuck behind. 🤦🏾‍♂️
