@@ikailakainah, my bad, we don't have that art in the west so I missed it on my phone, thank you! Also, did you maybe consider miss all Sunday instead of the ramp event?
@@bl.nk12 It's important to be able to ramp when going second so personally I want my ramp cards to be 4 cost or less. But with some testing this opinion might change. This deck is pretty interesting and has some room for adaptation so I plan to revisit it here and there on this channel.
Love the deck, great video. Ive been having trouble understanding why queen is a good card in this deck. In a deck that focused so much on ramping early to get to the strong late options and leader ramp, de-ramping feels really weird early game. Is queen to be played after you already have a lot of don late game? Or is it ok to - don early with him?
He's a great card for late game after you already reach 10 since with your leader ability you can play 2 Queen and still have 1 Don active for Gum Gum Giant. Additionally, if you're going second and fail to draw a 7 cost, he's the next best choice as you'll still be at 9 on the next turn. You can also play him and choose not to Don Minus if you want to ramp hard the next turn!
imo queen is best played at late game after deploying the boss cards, when u have less resources and low/no life cards u can deploy queen to set up defense and gain more resources

Oh you're right, that's my bad. Thankfully there was enough of a lead at the end that it seems to not have made a mistake but I'll be careful of that next time
@@ikailakai Thank you for your insight, and thank you for your guide on Rebecca in OP04! Without it, I'm not sure I would have learned how to play her (:
10 cost is awkward because your curve doesn't reach 10 cleanly, and you can't play Shanks and leave 1 Don for giant If you're first you can 1 3 5 9, if you're second you go 2, 4, 7 (kid-1), 9 so having the 9 costs feels a lot better for consistency
Sorry about the quality! I will improve it very soon. The list in order of cost is 4 Searcher Nami 4 Usohachi 4 Zorojuro 4 Bonclay 2 Onami 2 Franosuke 4 Queen 4 Sanji 2 Beckman 4 Kid 4 Whitebeard 4 9Luffy 1 10Luffy 1 Jet Gatling 2 Lead Performer 'Disaster' 4 Gum Gum Giant
If you knew you was going to die next turn risky but math actually works - y not swing 8k multiple times you would have won just saying @doffy but sick testing good to see what could of been... Or happen
You are right that that would have been the correct play in the end. However, from Doflamingo's perspective, it's quite unlikely that the attacks would go through considering the leader is 8000 power, and Luffy would have 5 cards in hand and Queen. If Luffy didn't have Nika, then Doflamingo would survive that turn, so trying to survive that turn has better odds of winning, even if it was wrong this time. Still though it's important to take note that RP Luffy can be in situations with few counter at the end of the game, so it's good to learn from this! thank you
@@ikailakaiI agree, gotta ramp with either Zorojuro or Bon Clay. In my list I replace Newgate with Dragon. Find the x2 9k+ swings are much more effective, plus even if Dragon gets popped if facing black he already did his job, whereas Newgate has summoning sickness
@@amvoriginal In this game specifically, you can see how newgate is much better than dragon. If he played dragon instead of the second newgate, the doffy player could have swung wide with his whole board and prob would have ended the game. Newgate effectively helps stall the game, while still giving you just enough aggression to pressure their life. Dragon might give you another 9K attack, but if you aren't pushing for game that turn then you might have just set yourself up for losing the following turn.
been playing rp luffy since the ST came out and im so excited to play him in 08/09. great video
Tossing up this and perona for 09, both decks hold a special place in my heart

If we can't beat Doflamingo, what's the point😎

play perona in doffy, has lots of synergy with sr law and 2k croc
Whered u get those card holders

the leader is already 6000, and yasopp is generally played on the turn that you're ramping your don, so I felt it was unneeded
