One thing to note on perona is that you can order them on top or bottom. So perpna does help you cycle for jinbe. Additionally if you use perona to peek top 5 and see a jinbe you can leave on top 5 then use sengoku to pull it to hand if you’re determined to play it unrested. Or you can sengoku first, dont see jinbe grab a weevil instead then use perona stack a jinbe hopefully and play it out with leader effect drawing a card off weevil
Yea this is fair, but the thing with Perona is that you don't use her to cycle your deck, you use her to secure your leader ability. As such, you only send the cards to the bottom if it seems unplayable. It's not like you would send them to the bottom just because you didn't see Jinbe. Searchers in general are tricky to play in this deck on later turns due to things such as Hancock / 3c Dofalmingo -> Leader Ability -> 4 cost taking 10 Don. As such I think that Perona is essentially just luxury for the deck, and not necessarily required. I will keep an eye out on the decks to see what other people come up with though, but these are just my thoughts after spamming Doflamingo like crazy from around when the new start deck came out.
the thing with perona is it helps you plan in advance it can also win you games if you have lets say a weevil and a event card you need like red roc in your top deck she combos also really good with new st law so you can keep using her its true though that it are another 4 non 4c warlord cards in the deck but i peronally think the pros outweight the cons it gives
Perona is value going first (when opp wins choice) being able to just as you said, helping with leader effect. Sengoku also too often (for me at least) forces me to bottom deck crucial events and warlord cards that could have been useful. Sengoku is definitely the better card going 2nd but planning to only ever go 2nd is bad strat imo. 4-2 sengoku or 3-3 has been a healthy balance and you see that in the decklists winning. On top of that, going 2nd sengoku into perona is just top tier getting best of both.
Perona is a bit of a hot topic in Doffy right now IMO. Spamming Jinbei is great but also having a couple of turns planned in advance with a single 1 Don card is good, and it's even better when you cont have to play you Buggy down to do so. The deck can definitely run into "too much deck ordering" problem, but at the same time blind activating Leader effect is something i like to avoid when i can, since it allows to chain plays better and slightly increase hand quality. I dont think 4 Perona is good tho, im currently trying 3 Perona 3 Sengoku.
I saw k3sojuuu posting a shankless shanks list (no shanks, both the op09 and op06 ones, but its basically a control shanks deck), where he used round table to help remove big bodies (i think it leaned toward mirror matches) Wdyt? Is there any similar list winning in japan?
In the current op09 meta I don't think it's great due to the fact that I think Doflamingo's strengths come from spreading 3+ cards per turn from 10 Don. However, it is very strong in the mirror and is worth considering
I'm surprised BP Luffy is not having much success. The Stussy and 5c Sanji builds are good against Shank, RP Luffy and to a certain extend Doffy. Its an auto lose to Blackbeard tho.
@@KookieMonster99 I think it's a lot more consistent than RP or even Shanks. 4 Zoro, 4 Maria, 2-4 pudding or Bon Clay + Law searcher, you really can't miss getting a ramp. Also Black Maria is an auto 2 ramp against RP Luffy with just 1 card. The deck also has a lot more card draws than both RP Luffy and Shanks.
@@velvetstigma4961 dont think so, u need to ramp early so u need access to it on ur first turn, and once u whiff its gg Shanks can spend several tuurns and tsjr few lives to get the boss card
This is becoming one of my favorite channels already 🙂. Keep up the great videos! 👑👑

Love your channel, it’s very informative and great analyses as well

Whats up with Bonney? People were hyping her up a couple of weeks ago, but now it seems that it's not that played anymore.
She's actually going up in playrate! She just hasn't won anything significant yet

What do you think about 10 cost Kaido in Doffy?

are we getting a 09 Dragon video soon?
What is the 7c 9k in the first rp list?
op09 jimbei vanilla

I was thinking the same thing… was a deck I was super excited to run and even started building already
inconsistent, if deck fails to ramp early, decks automatically just lose

It's not an auto loss against BB I've been testing it with only 4 black maria I'll try with 4 bon clay

Is 3c teach not good in blue doflamingo? It seems like it would be perfect for what the leader eff wants to do.

Weird question: can you spell how you pronounce your name at the beginning of the videos in kana? Its so fast I can’t understand it
i'm saying Kai @ikailakai which would be かい・あっと・あいかいらかい

reiju any good in op9? been playing her from release
Reiju I think is pretty decent, but currently overshadowed by Doflamingo. She is certainly a reasonable deck, just not broken
❤
Is bonney really that weak? Sadge
I think she's strong, people just aren't building her correctly. I think she'll start to go up in popularity with time.
Robin still the biggest letdown in OPCG history
Nah, that award goes to Marco and King
@@teslamachine i still remember marco was hyped as the next sakazuki 😂, i think they kinda fixed black purple in Bp luffy tho
No hope for black purple luffy :(
