The last 2 times I bought Timeless it was already slightly oxidized and got worse as time went on. Geek and gorgeous came totally clear and stayed clear until I finished it. Geek and gorgeous is the way to go for me.
Yea I had 3 bottles and they all came oxidized (and I ordered directly from their website) so I can't trust that brand anymore. G&G formula is nice and doesn't have the hot dog smell (not that it bothers me). Only thing is that I didnt see that much result (maybe because it is a simple formula) and so now I switched to vitamin c derivative from Bubble skincare and for some reason I see more brightening with that and don't have to worry about combining it with other actives.
There are few things more disappointing in skincare than receiving an "old" product. I've heard a lot of people are currently having that issue with skinceuticals as well. You'd think at $180 a bottle they'd make sure it's fresh. The bubble vitamin c brightening serum is also wonderful. And also pretty affordable.
@@tinasung3814 I also did not see much brightening with G and G, but I think it is the percentage. For me, I see better brightening effect with 20% LAA. I am actually going to try and layer 15% EAA formula over the G and G and see as I can not get timeless in the EU
After you recommended Geek & Gorgeous C Glow I bought it and my skin has never looked better. It’s so much better than any other Vitamin C I’ve tried and the quality is amazing. Thank you so much for your honest reviews as always ❤
I love both but buy the 4oz Timeless 20% on Black Friday when it’s 50% off and it lasts the year in my skincare fridge. I’ve never had an issue with oxidizing. Works out to be about $4/mo. I also get the large bottle of their CoQ10 serum when it’s on sale but that lasts more than a year. I’ve never had issues and buying the larger bottles saved a ton of money.
@@NOBSBeauty I’m super excited that G&G has U.S. site and shipping now. They have some of my holy grails like the A-Game 10 and it makes ordering and shipping easier.
Yes, I keep them in the fridge too. No issues. G&G after 6 month in the fridge, just started to become a bit yellow, not oxidized. Kinda I prefer Timeless.
I bought the Geek and Gorgeous based off your recommendation on one of these UA-cam videos and I love it! I just want to say thank you for doing the legwork, putting yourself and the product information out there so we don’t waste money trying everything under the sun. ❤
Oh that totally makes my day to hear! Thank you for letting me know. So happy you're having great luck with G&G! Love them plus they are so affordable and cruelty free!
Timeless has recently upgraded the packaging with glass bottle and the pump is way better. No leaking issues anymore which I’m so happy about because I adore that product for years 👍🏻
I'm on my third 4 oz bottle of Timeless and it lasts the 3-4 months it takes me to use it all up. Haven't noticed any darkening, even towards the end. I do keep in in the fridge.
The G&G still gets a minus one for the shipping costs to the US. I have been using the 20% Timeless. I get the big bottle when they put it on sale for 40% off. I. Yup it twice a year. I store both bottles in the refrigerator. I use it every 3rd day. I have had great luck wit the timeless serum NOT oxidizing at all until I use the entire huge bottle. When it is 40% off, it is such a steal too! 😊
G&G just recently created a us site, or it will just redirect you when you go to checkout. The shipping cost is now about $6 to the us which makes it so much more reasonable.
I’ve used Timeless serum which I had no issues with. I just finished a bottle. Had no issues with irritating my dry skin, it did not degrade at all and I kept it in my bathroom. I might try Geek and Gorgeous next as I want to try their Retinal serum as well. I would definitely buy Timeless again. The packaging, in my option was great. Nice glass bottle, did not leak and no exposure to air. Thanks for then comparisons and explanation of the differences, and what to look for. 😊
I'm so happy with Geek and Gorgeous. I love how affordable they are, they are cruelty free, fragrance free, and their formulas are all science based. Still excited to see what they'll come out with next. 😁
I gotta be honest, i prefer the Timeless simply because i am uncoordinated and knock things over. I have definitely lost a lot of good serums in dropper bottle....
That reminds me of a friend of mine. She's middle class, not a ton of extra spending money but one day decided to splurge on the skinceuticals c serum after a bout of skin cancer. Within the first day she knocked the bottle over and spilled the whole thing. I've been giving her Geek and Gorgeous every few months since then.
Excellent review. Thank you. I am currently using the Timeless C serum and really like it. The only concern I have is that the serum contains Ethoxydiglycol. Supposedly the concentration that they are using is not permitted in Europe. I would like to know what the percentage is. Hopefully they will release that information one day. I will try geek and gorgeous in the near future. Thank you.
I've read in Europe that in oxidative products the amount permissible is 7% so it does look like the timeless must have even more than that in their serum.
The timeless bottle was the worst. It would leak and drive me crazy. Plus it turned brown real quick. Right now I'm using the geek and gorgeous and I like it so far. It does feel a bit sticky though.
This is perfect timing, I have been using Timeless and it always ends up degrading on me, I ordered my first bottle of G&G today hopefully I will have better luck with that one
I like the way Geek and Gorgeous feels on my oily skin, so I am a sticking with that one The Timeless is a nice formula, just a too much for my oily skin.
Did you know that the Timeless C E Ferulic serum is no longer sold in the UK or EU because they are use over 7x the EU limit of ethoxydiglycol? I used to use this serum, but stopped because honestly I trust the EU/UK guidelines more than the US. I have not tried the Geek and Gorgeous yet
Wow what an interesting information. And I was wondering why I couldn’t find the timeless anywhere (I live in Germany). I guess I’ll be trying the G&G then!
Love your information 12:06 all the time I’ve been using timeless 20 percent for years with controlled rosacea no problems keep in fridge and apply on damp skin thanks
I've also used both of these products and my only problem with the Timeless one was the packaging which was a huge disappointment considering the price... The Geek and Gorgeous one is less drying in my opinion... Both are great...but the price point is more important 😊
Used both, and I like Timeless better. I found G&G texture is more drying than Timeless, and I found Timeless texture is more "moisturizing " for my dry skin, not sticky. Also, G&G shipping to Canada is a no no, with super high custom and fee, so not worth it.
I am using Timeless but after your glowing reviews of G&g I would like to try out many of their products. Do you have some kind of affiliate code with G&G?
I live in Poland. I used the Timeless serum for a year, it was available at our store, but someone checked the ingredients and they withdrawn it from sale. This serum has Ethoxydiglycol in second place. Banned in the EU at this concentration. I am buying the G&G serum now.
I purchased a small empty bottle from g&g in addition to vitamin C. This way i can keep the primary bottle in the fridge. I hope this will keep the vitamin c fresh
I really love the Geek and Gorgeous products, especially their very effective Adelaide Acid derivative. But I have had it oxidize as I get close to the bottom of the bottle, despite keeping it refrigerated. Perhaps my fridge isn’t cold enough, I’ll have to double check. That said, I’m wondering what it takes to get free or reduced shipping with Geek and Gorgeous?? So far, it seems the more product I buy at once, the higher the shipping cost, so it’s getting to be cost prohibitive. A couple of years ago, before they had a US office, my husband insisted I drop them. However, nothing works as well for the dark spots on my chest and forearms as Apad!
Great video! I have only tried timeless and I love it but with inflation n everything being so expensive now in days I have to give geek & gorgeous a try.
