    It’s absolutely mind blowing that the lava lake has risen 1700 feet since there was a water lake in the crater…

      I was coming here to ask if anyone knew how far it had risen since then. So thank you. It’s amazing to think how much lava in just a few years has filled in

      The scale of the caldera makes it hard to grasp the true size, doesn’t it? Then you see a chopper or a flock of birds in the scene and it suddenly shows how freaking big that place is.

      It was mind blowing seeing the caldera form as a cubic kilometer of lava drained into the mountain, travelled underground to Leilani Estates, and came fountaining up in streets, homes, and yards causing destruction and headaches all along the coast.

    • @josephastier7421
      @josephastier7421 Рік тому +1

      To be a tornado it has to descend from a thunderstorm. If it's thermally driven from the ground, it's a dust devil, fire whirl, wind vortex, etc. To be throwing huge plates of lava crust around like they were paper, this was stronger than some real tornadoes. The amount of convective power coming off that lava lake created a monster.

      Believers sometimes assume THEIR chosen religion applies to everybody, but that's impossible. There are hundreds of religions on this planet alone, each proclaiming itself the one and only, and if that were true we'd all be going off to strange places every few minutes for some prophecy or other that we'd never even heard about.
      It would be a traffic nightmare.
