This was an outstanding redesign of the very old and very tired dresser. BTW it is about 40-50 years old I remember when that style came out it was pretty hot back in the 70’s 😂 You two always do such a terrific job and figuring out just the right paint color and where to use it, but this time I think you really shined in your efforts and outcome. It is outstanding! I love this piece and who knew what that dingy finish was hiding, and who knew it need your eyes to bring it out. Outstanding job! Oh yes and thanks for using the dowels to fill the old drawer pull holes it helps us learn as we follow along so that is a great hack to know instead of always doing Bondo.
Literally the only thing I would change is the color of the top drawer fronts. I'd do that in paint wash, too. But, whatever the customer wants. Still, darn nice redo.
Hahaha Kendal and you make such a great team! 👍🏻👍🏻 So glad everything stayed in tact, especially Kendal’s privates 😂 Lots of work, but it sure did pay off…The piece looks amazing ❣️Outstanding job!!!!
Plain acetone works very well to take those finishes off. Use a poly scrub pad of some sort/scraper for the flat surfaces and a small stiffer bristled brush for the details. I put it in a spray bottle for easy application. It takes a bit of practice to work with, but it works well. It evaporates pretty fast so you have to work quickly. And wear rubber gloves of some sort.
That’s a really good tip!! I actually had it sitting around but never thought to use it 😅 a spray bottle would be super easy! Do you know if lacquer thinner can also be used in a spray bottle? Thanks for the tips, I’ll definitely try it when I need to strip something detailed again 😊
I don't see why you couldn't. You can buy chemical resistant spray bottles if you think you need to use one. I've seen them at Princess Auto in Canada.
Good Morning Miss Holly, and Fam.... well, I finally made it over here to watch some of the longer ones... watch your process.... Yeahhhh..... nice you have extra set of hands helping you... and of course puppers too.... they are always such a help.... getting hair and fuzz in everything....🤣 I have so many project pieces sitting waiting for me... time to get some inspiration.
WOWWWW...U GUYS DID AN AMAZING JOB ON THIS DRESSER. CAME OUT BEAUTIFUL GREAT JOB GUYS 👍KEEP UP THE AMAZING JOB THAT U DO MUCH APPRECIATED N MUCH LOVE ❤LOOK FOWARD TO SEEING UR NEXT VIDEO 😊
I enjoy watching your channel. The reason the bottom drawer had single knobs is probably because it was really the top drawer. Did you try to change them up?
Thank you! The drawers came to me in that order, but I wanted to keep them on the bottom because of that dowel repair :) you could definitely be right as they were all the same size! ❤️
Hey! Do you have an Amazon storefront? I have the same Dewalt sander as you and would love to know what adapter you used to attach it to your vacuum. Thanks!
Gurl, I heard that dresser breathe a sigh of relief when you took of that decorative wood chunks! So ugly, now sleek! Time to upgrade that jigsaw, you won't regret it. Glad you filled in that grain, so professional.
Oh my gosh it was so satisfying 😂 they needed to go. Thank you so much! I think the issue was that we were putting too much pressure on the blade when we were trying to get through that metal fastener, but you’re right! The jigsaw is so heavy and big and I’ve seen more compact ones on the market so maybe I will upgrade when the time is right ❤️
I love the color what's the name of it didn't quite, heard it after I nearly fell of the couch laughing 😂😂 dont cut off your ⚾⚾ yep I caught that but not the color 😂 that was hilarious anyway it turned out stunning omg!! You guy's
Hahahaha Oreo!!! The colour is cracked pepper by Behr, it’s such a nice grey! I’m glad you found it funny Kendal would have definitely chopped his ⚾️ ⚾️ off if he tried to jigsaw it standing like that 😂 thanks for all the support!!
Dang that one needed so much work!! Have you ever had a piece that you thought was beyond saving? 🤔

Wow this is one of your most dramatic transformations!!! Love the color, handles!!!
Thank you for all the support Helen! This needed a lot of work for sure 😂

Lol!! Thank you auntie ❤️❤️ the client was a design student so he had this whole vision and picked the colours and handles 😊
Totally different dresser Holly. Very well done❤
Well worth your efforts! At first glance, I'd thought this was one of the nasty, mostly MDF pieces--this is gorgeous! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you! I don’t blame you! Usually the chunky trim dressers are mdf/particle board but this was solid 😊

You did a fantastic job taking an ugly piece of furniture and turning it into something beautiful
Put kitty litter in the can that you scrape your stripper into, it will absorb it. Love all your videos.
That’s a good idea! Off to the pet store 😂
❤❤❤
This is addicting lol
🫶🏻
❤️❤️
You should wear eye protection when spraying paint and top coat. Be safe.
That would definitely be the safe thing to do. Thank you Linda ❤️
You sinned! We don't paint Oak.
Yeah oak can look really nice stained! But I’d say that old finish with those wooden blocks was already a sin 😂
