I am reading The Summer Pact by Emily Giffin. Very interesting novel about two young women and man who forge a written agreement in university -after a female university friend died -that they would always in the future be availabe and present in person to support each other if life got very tough. Fast and enjoyable read. Thanks for the reading time out😊
Hiya! I love the incense curling over the screen! I’m a mood reader myself (which sounds better than indecisive! 😂) so I’ve always got a few different books on the go. At the moment I’m reading Agatha Christie’s Taken at the Flood, for comfort crime; I’m trying to read more sci-fi/fantasy this year, so I’ve started Susanna Clarke’s Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell - this will likely take me a looong time to get through (if you haven’t read Piranesi, you really must!). I’ve also got Legends and Lattes on the Kindle, which I’m really enjoying; and for non- fiction, Ian Mortimer’s Time Traveller’s Guide to Regency Britain. Phew!
I love this! I also have a few books on the go at once. In the past, people have told me they get confused if they read more than one book at a time, but I treat reading the same way I do TV shows. It’s rare that I have just one show on the go, so why limit books? Thanks for listing all of these books. I have new books to research and add to my ever-growing list. 😀
I just finished “Red Dragon” yesterday, and wow. Good book, but now i definitely feel like I need to mix it up with some lighter fare. Just started “The hitchhiker’s guide to the galaxy.” 😊
It's funny you should say that, because I finished Red Dragon a few weeks back and went straight into Silence of the Lambs. I had to take a break a week in because it was genuinely affecting my mood. I'm now reading some light rom-com style books. Once I've caught my breath, I shall dive back into Lambs.
