Regarding your email: I am a switch reeler, spinning left, casting right. It just feels more natural. When I was a kid I had the old Johnson spincast that was right hand retrieve and when I switched to a spinning reel I tried to use as a right hand retrieve but it just didn't feel right at all. When you switch your hands stay in pretty much the same position, in my case right hand higher than the left.
Thank you! Unfortunately Simms stopped making them. I lost my original one on Rainy Lake during a nasty storm (couldn't turn the boat around for it) 5-ish years ago. Was able to find a black market one on eBay or something to replace it at the time lol. If I ever lose this one I'm going for a swim!
I do! Just can only talk about so many things before the video gets too long lol. Ringworms are GREAT in cold water. If I had to place them in the order I was talking in this video, I'd plop them right in-between the Ribb-Finn and Moxi.
I must thank BfisnTackle for these plastics. I was skeptical, but they worked for me in MY river. Used them in a heavily pressured area that has constant anglers on most days and the fish still ate them. #bigupyaself
If you're specifically talking about river systems, you can't go wrong anytime with white, orange, chartreuse or pink. Because "clear" river systems are still just not all that clear...compared to lakes anyway. If it's a sunny day I will play with patterns that have some more glitter and flakes in them. There has been a few times I've found water clarity up to 6-8' on a river (super clear!) and each of those days my best colors were a little more natural-looking stuff like Stewarts Pro Blue, Fire Ice White, Oystertail, and Honey Oil Glitter.
I noticed you used that 'bow & arrow' trick at 5:58 to unsnag your jig!
Heck yeah! Good 👁. Wish someone would have taught me that on day 1.
@@TargetWalleye I've learned all kinds of new tricks like that from your vids. Can't wait to try them!
It works well got many undone with that snap of line technique 👌
Love the heavy hooks in Ontario we never know what we’ll hook and it doesn’t keep them walleye from mucking it
Switched from the Authentx Moxi to the Westin Curlteez and I will never go back
Excellent video
2 weekends ago we were on the Mississippi and last weekend on Rainy. The Authentix plastics outfished live bait on both systems.
So sick! 👊 They flat-out catch 'em. Oh, and I need to get down there.

Right on the $ information!!!
Curious why you do not use ring worms? They are pretty popular for walleyes and lots of walleyes are caught on ring worms.

What rods are you using??
That's the Elliott Rods 7' 3" ML fast-action. Awesome finesse-y walleye stick!
Dirty water and bait color choice. Clear water and bait color choice???
