I bought the Sony PS5 a few days ago, it was all down to the games. Microsoft Xbox was good from day one, but today they have nothing. I walked into a Games retail shop and noticed the Xbox Series X section was empty with loads of Xbox gift cards and no physical games. PS5 section was loaded with physical games and the console was instock, I put the money down and walked out with a PS5 and five games. I hope Xbox knows that they just lost a life long customer.
That's fair, and yeah for most people the two most important things are the games, and what console their friends play on, in particularly if you commonly play games without cross-platform support for the multiplayer. And yeah, the PS5 has had some great games release so far, and has some great upcoming releases, but Xbox Game Pass is a hard to pass deal. So I'd say it mostly depends on what's important within a gaming console for each person, as to which one they should buy. Any enjoy your new console, and all of the games you picked up too 👍
Honestly, Redfall was the accumulation of failure and the last straw for me. I was a “Xbot” fanboy for years after going PS2>Xbox360>Xbone>SeriesX. The thing that I always used as an excuse was my extensive game library and the fact I had a massive achievement score to improve on (Half a million GS) But I finally had enough of no first party games and the temptation to try the PlayStation was too much. It also coincided with me having some spare cash and my friend group being split 50/50 between the two consoles so I bought a PS5 3 days ago and I’ve been in love with it. Sure I much prefer the smaller things like being able to switch batteries on my controllers and having them last a week between charges vs less than a full day on PS but overall the controller is WAY more advanced, feels more comfortable, the UI is MUCH better, shockingly the PS premium has a more tempting library of games and also I’m so excited to try games like God Of war, Days gone, Last of us, Horizon etc. I guess sometimes you can get too caught up in the tribal nature of it all and the “Us vs Them” mentality but I now own both main consoles, and honestly I only see myself returning to Xbox every now and then to improve my gamerscore a little each month. Damn now I’m an Xbot and Sony Pony, Im a PC fanboys wet dream.

Yeah because playstation has sooo many games like.... or.... and.... but but spiderman dlc and Pokemon ImeanFinalFantasy that nobody cares about. So many games. I think I'll be keeping my Xbox for now.

It also coincided with me having some spare cash and my friend group being split 50/50 between the two consoles so I bought a PS5 3 days ago and I’ve been in love with it. Sure I much prefer the smaller things like being able to switch batteries on my controllers and having them last a week between charges vs less than a full day on PS but overall the controller is WAY more advanced, feels more comfortable, the UI is MUCH better, shockingly the PS premium has a more tempting library of games and also I’m so excited to try games like God Of war, Days gone, Last of us, Horizon etc. I guess sometimes you can get too caught up in the tribal nature of it all and the “Us vs Them” mentality but I now own both main consoles, and honestly I only see myself returning to Xbox every now and then to improve my gamerscore a little each month. That's fair, and that's an impressive gamer score. And like you said, it's great when you can just enjoy games for what they are, and not worry about what console they're on, because whether they're on the Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, PC, Mobile, etc at the end of the day, they're all games released for people interested with gaming to enjoy. And if you're new to PlayStation, those games you mentioned are definitely some great choices. I would also recommend the PS4 Marvel's Spider-Man game, as it's a great game and it's really fun to web swing around the city. Enjoy your new console and all of the great games on the platform 👍
As someone who has pc and Xbox series x, I found it hard to really have a reason to play my Xbox. Most of the big titles on game pass are ones I already bought on pc during those crazy 50-90% off deals. PlayStation has a good amount of exclusive titles that are still not released on pc so I picked one up and have been loving it ever since. It’s wild what I missed out on by not getting a ps4
Yeah, if you have a good gaming PC, since you can get most of the exclusives on Steam and have access to PC Game Pass, there’s not as much of a reason to buy an Xbox Series X/S as well, compared to owning both a good gaming PC and a PS5.
I picked up a PS5 and am very close to selling my Series X. The main things holding me back now are the controller and the backwards compatibility library I’ve got on Xbox. And advice to anyone out there? 😅 I

When it comes down to it, it really is based on personal preference. I’ve been rocking with Xbox since the original and haven’t looked back. Last PlayStation I had was PS2. Xbox is definitely not perfect but I like Xbox because it focused on multiple forms of media and still delivers great games and Xbox live. PlayStation definitely has more exclusives but their online service is second rate compared to Microsoft and it’s not touching Game pass. Although I think I’m going to buy a ps4 just to play exclusives like Spider-Man and God of war to see what all the fuss is about lbs

I don't know if you've checked a calendar recently mate but it is currently the year 2023, the PS4 is 10 years old this November, and you still don't recommend moving on to a current generation machine?? The video was more so for people who haven’t already bought a PS5, and that after almost 3 years if you don’t already own one, it might be worth waiting a bit longer to see what the mid-generation console upgrades have to offer before making the expensive decision to buy a console. And sticking with the PS4 for now definitely isn’t the option for everyone, but with mid-generation re-designs likely just around the corner, it’s an option worth considering when most new games still release on PS4 consoles, the expensive price jump to PS5 consoles and with the potential for even better hardware releasing in the near future that may better fit what you want out of a gaming console

Before that, Final Fantasy XVI releases (literally next month in June!) and is a PS5 exclusive - no PS4 version. You think your audience should take your advice and wait for possibly another 18 months to play these major releases??!! Some people may say Xbox is better because of Xbox Game Pass, some people may say PlayStation is better because of the exclusives, it just depends on what you consider most important And yeah, we’re just starting to see PS5 only exclusives become more common which makes the case for buying a PS5 much stronger, but we’re only just starting to enter that phase of the console life cycle now, so I’d say it’s still depending on what you prioritise, it’s still fine to wait a bit longer And yeah, you can’t just wait forever, but if you wait until later in a generation, some of the early releases are much cheaper, you’ve got a big back catalogue of great games to play when you buy it and won’t have to wait for new releases to have good games to play, and the extra power/features may make your gaming experience that bit more enjoyable such as super sampling on the PS4 Pro, and some of these things are worth it to wait for for some people, and for others they’re not which is fine too And yeah, you’ve got to take the mid-generation console re-design rumours with a pinch of salt, but with reports that the dev kits are already in developers hands, even if you wait another year for it, for some people having already waited almost 3 years, it might be worth it to wait 1 more to get a better console with more features that makes for a better gaming experience, and for others it’s not as they’d prefer to buy it now which is fine to, but it’s definitely something to consider when making such an expensive purchase
Forget everything I said, PS5 just had an awful 'showcase' l. If I didn't already have a PS5 I wouldn't buy one after this. Higher fidelity and performance can only carry so far, it's cool, but without the games built to really take advantage of the new tech maybe spending money on this new tech isn't warranted.
Only buy a ps4 if don’t care about playing any new games because but ps5 plays games better and shorter wait time for games to load if you are short on time and just wanna play something games looks great on ps5. ps4 and 5 games looks great I still got a 1080p tv and I noticed the big difference and what’s sucks any new ps4 game that will come out you will have to wait longer to get then having a ps5 because they have to downsize the game so it can right on the ps4
Yeah there are definitely benefits to getting a PS5 over a PS4 especially when it comes to graphics and load times, but if the cost is a more important factor to you than sticking with the PS4 for a little bit longer could still be a good solution, but it’s been great to see PS5 bundles going on sale, and being readily available for purchase much more frequently in the last few months
I personally I think xbox has the worst triple a titles saints row was fun but the new ones suck. I generally always have both Xbox and playstation but I haven't had my Xbox used since the original Xbox one playstation has an incredible amount of great games like god of war witch is my favorite and all the badass Japanese games. And I pc game mostly thats where I play Xbox games if I already have an Xbox on my much stronger pc the actual consol is a waist of money
That's fair, I'd say it also depends on what you play too, as if you only play games like NBA 2K, COD, etc, then combined with Xbox Game Pass Xbox is probably the better option, but yeah PlayStation has a great catalogue of exclusive titles which is definitely a key selling point for their consoles
Depending on what’s important to you within a gaming console, in particularly if the cost is something you highly prioritise, and if you’re a fan of single player narrative adventures, then it definitely can be, and has a ton of great games on the console that you can buy for such a low price
It also depends on what types of games you enjoy too, but if you’re interested in first person, narrative experiences then PlayStation has a ton of great exclusives
I doubt u would have changed to PS now if u would have stick with xbox through last generation. Xbox is rising now high and has much more interesting future plans than PS. Also those of us who has big libraries of xbox, xbox360, xbox one and series x games has 0 reason to change platform. Since Series X is and all xbox consoles including Xbox One have been backward compatible so there Is no way anyone with right mind would change to PS and throw away their many generations of collected games...which might Include both physical and digital games. Also with xbox people does not become bankrubted for each time they want to play day one new released games since most of them comes to gamepass. Also single player movie game exclusives which PS only provides are not everyone's Cup of tea. So, no... not everyone agree that PS has better games.
I haven’t upgraded to next-gen consoles yet, but I’m currently leaning towards the PS5 due to the AMAZING exclusive titles on the platform. They’re not for everyone, but that’s where it comes down to what types of games you play and what your looking for within a gaming console, which can vary from person to person which affects which console appears better to them, and there are definitely pros and cons for both the PS5 and XSX. Xbox has some promising things in the future and I’m looking forward to seeing them once they’re released. And nice, I have a pretty big library of Xbox Classic and Xbox 360 games too, but I also still own both of those original consoles so backwards compatibility isn’t as important to me, but I can understand it’s more important for some people. But that fact also made me response to your comment of "everyone thinks PS has better exclusives" . Its not true, because many Halo or Forza or Fable (few to mention) fans are much more excited about if new game In those serieses are showing up than if spiderman is. And like I said, there Is more factor for choosing the console than just exlusives since majority of time we play same games (non exclusives) with each console, but my xbox discs or collected library does not work In PS, neither PS Players buyed games does not work In xbox. That alone is the factor why someone chooses certain brand. And newer generation consoles runs better even the older games and download times are faster so on. So not everyone wants to return to the slower xbox360 console for example to play their older games. I personally think xbox is more gamer friendly because everything is bit more cheaper and more available (I never would pay 80 € for new game) but over all I agree there Is pros and cons for each platform. But people choose whats more convinyent to them not which one might have one or two better games. For both consoles there Is anyways more games to play one has time to even play. Ive invented so much money into xbox and now im switching to PS5

Only buy a ps4 if don’t care about playing any new games because but ps5 plays games better and shorter wait time for games to load if you are short on time and just wanna play something games looks great on ps5. ps4 and 5 games looks great I still got a 1080p tv and I noticed the big difference and what’s sucks any new ps4 game that will come out you will have to wait longer to get then having a ps5 because they have to downsize the game so it can right on the ps4
Yeah there are definitely benefits to getting a PS5 over a PS4 especially when it comes to graphics and load times, but if the cost is a more important factor to you than sticking with the PS4 for a little bit longer could still be a good solution, but it’s been great to see PS5 bundles going on sale, and being readily available for purchase much more frequently in the last few months
I personally I think xbox has the worst triple a titles saints row was fun but the new ones suck. I generally always have both Xbox and playstation but I haven't had my Xbox used since the original Xbox one playstation has an incredible amount of great games like god of war witch is my favorite and all the badass Japanese games. And I pc game mostly thats where I play Xbox games if I already have an Xbox on my much stronger pc the actual consol is a waist of money
That's fair, I'd say it also depends on what you play too, as if you only play games like NBA 2K, COD, etc, then combined with Xbox Game Pass Xbox is probably the better option, but yeah PlayStation has a great catalogue of exclusive titles which is definitely a key selling point for their consoles

Yeah, I’ve heard about a few games recently that weren’t ported well to PC. Hopefully this happens less in the near future

Depending on what’s important to you within a gaming console, in particularly if the cost is something you highly prioritise, and if you’re a fan of single player narrative adventures, then it definitely can be, and has a ton of great games on the console that you can buy for such a low price

It also depends on what types of games you enjoy too, but if you’re interested in first person, narrative experiences then PlayStation has a ton of great exclusives
I doubt u would have changed to PS now if u would have stick with xbox through last generation. Xbox is rising now high and has much more interesting future plans than PS.
Also those of us who has big libraries of xbox, xbox360, xbox one and series x games has 0 reason to change platform. Since Series X is and all xbox consoles including Xbox One have been backward compatible so there Is no way anyone with right mind would change to PS and throw away their many generations of collected games...which might Include both physical and digital games.
Also with xbox people does not become bankrubted for each time they want to play day one new released games since most of them comes to gamepass. Also single player movie game exclusives which PS only provides are not everyone's Cup of tea. So, no... not everyone agree that PS has better games.
I haven’t upgraded to next-gen consoles yet, but I’m currently leaning towards the PS5 due to the AMAZING exclusive titles on the platform. They’re not for everyone, but that’s where it comes down to what types of games you play and what your looking for within a gaming console, which can vary from person to person which affects which console appears better to them, and there are definitely pros and cons for both the PS5 and XSX.
Xbox has some promising things in the future and I’m looking forward to seeing them once they’re released. And nice, I have a pretty big library of Xbox Classic and Xbox 360 games too, but I also still own both of those original consoles so backwards compatibility isn’t as important to me, but I can understand it’s more important for some people. @@theprogammar yeah, thats why there Is options and competition is good because people have difference preferences. But that fact also made me response to your comment of "everyone thinks PS has better exclusives" .
Its not true, because many Halo or Forza or Fable (few to mention) fans are much more excited about if new game In those serieses are showing up than if spiderman is.
And like I said, there Is more factor for choosing the console than just exlusives since majority of time we play same games (non exclusives) with each console, but my xbox discs or collected library does not work In PS, neither PS Players buyed games does not work In xbox. That alone is the factor why someone chooses certain brand. And newer generation consoles runs better even the older games and download times are faster so on. So not everyone wants to return to the slower xbox360 console for example to play their older games.
I personally think xbox is more gamer friendly because everything is bit more cheaper and more available (I never would pay 80 € for new game) but over all I agree there Is pros and cons for each platform. But people choose whats more convinyent to them not which one might have one or two better games. For both consoles there Is anyways more games to play one has time to even play.
