What do you recommend when wall studs arent an option? I had a tv mounted to my "studless" wall for over 10 years. Didnt realize it until i took it down to mount my new tv. This tv is bigger but 20 lbs lighter. Every video ive seen on youtube doesnt offer a solution for dry wall in spite of every tv mounts including drywall screws.

There are no studs at all within the width of the TV mounting bracket? WOW! If this is me, I’m going one of two paths.
      1. Mount another board on top of the wall that can reach studs behind the wall. Anchor that in those studs and then anchor the TV into that board. This will need to be a strong/thick/wide piece of wood.
      2. Take out drywall and put studs behind the wall. Fix and paint the drywall and mount in the studs.
I just would not use drywall anchors on a TV mount… anyone else have thoughts?

one of the tools is over a 100$ and the other 200$ is there a different way more cheaper?? like only one tool that can do it all for 50$? i have no idea how to use any tools like i only have dry wall and a 50inch Samsung that is pretty heavy is my best bet just to contact someone who installs tv mounts for people? im moving into a smaller apartment and need the space of my desk and the tv uses it all

You can do this all with one drill and adjustable wrench to keep the cost down. If you shop deals, you could get close to $50 for the drill. 👍🏼

That is the Walabot. I am actually releasing a new video on the latest version of that device versus the one that I showed in this video, this coming Sunday. 👍🏼👍🏼

@@ReluctantDIYers Very cool! What's the newest version? Looks like you are using the DIY2?

@@kerouwhack The new version is the DIY 2M. Yes, I was using my DIY 2 that I bought over 2 years ago. I love it. I have an early review video on my channel for that one.
