Top was my good friend starting in the early 1970s when I was living in England. The first few times we met we jammed for hours. My God what a guitarist! He kindly played on several demos of my songs when I was a songwriter for EMI Music. He will be sorely missed. Godspeed Top.
Too bad Top was still young at the time, so his parents rightfully grounded him from being a full-time Yardbird in order to finish art school. That's when Clapton first came into the picture.
