Thank you so much for posting this!!!! I know it's several years old, but boy did this bring back a lot of good memories. My father was stationed at Larson back in the late 60's until about 1975. We lived at Marshall Heights all the time we were there! We started out on the Economy, then moved into Temps in Build. 325 on the upper left side of the building as you stood in front of it! I was nice to see our old home in your video! There was nothing beyond that building, or behind it at that time except farmers fields! (And suicide hill!) The Flower Man had a garden right at the top of the hill just beyond Build. 325. We could watch him out our little bathroom window! We lived in Temps. in Building 325 until we got quarters in Build. 315 I believe, where we remained until the middle 70's. Wow things have changed there! I'm so sad to see the Army left this wonderful housing area, so many good memories here, and the German people were so good to us there! A beautiful place it was, and an excellent place to live as I was growing up! Thank you again so much for bringing some of those wonderful memories back!!! I will never ever forget this place, and will always call Marshall Heights my home! If you are not aware, there's a Facebook page dedicated to Marshall Heights I just found a couple weeks ago, please visit this page for lots of more great pictures, stories, and maybe even reconnect with some old friends! facebook.com/groups/27555172030/

Building 331, behind it, yes, it was used as a football area. Including the space between buildings 329 and 330.

Awesome video. I was at the top of the hill in Bldg 330 from 1972-1974 (2nd and 3rd grades). I was able to go back for a visit with my sister in October 1999 as an adult. To my amazement, I drove right to it without even consulting a map. The whole Germany experience as a kid was magical for me. Without a doubt, it was the happiest time of my life. Its sad to think all of this is boarded up now.

I lived in the first building up from the power plant from 1969 to 1972. Anyone remember the Buerkle's. People I would like to hear from... Kenny Knight / Bob Hill / Charlie McNernerny or anyone that knew us. Miss you all !

I moved in 317 in 95. We were on the top floor facing the daycare. We were the same distance from Aviano Italy as Bosnia..we were about to go in so jets and helicopters would fly low and slow enough to see as they turned around and the pilots would wave at my step-son. He thought I knew the pilot so I told him yup that's Bob. After that anything that flew got him excited so he would point and say it's Bob Dad! Kitzigen turned 1250 years old in 1995. Great memories! Thanks so much for posting!!!!

Thank you for these MH videos. I lived here from 81-83. I was five years old. My memories are of walking that hill and waiting for the Gummy Man. I used to buy flowers from the lady's place by the old commissary.

We lived on the economy, ( Markstaff) until we went into MH 1973. My very best Friend lived on first floor, Pat & Bill, they had two children, Stevie & Billie Ann or Billie Jo. We lived on second floor. We lived right near commissary. Larson Barracks..

M.H. is a Ghost City now. It's been empty since '07 and not taken care off... so sad! Look at some recent Videos on You Tube of M.H. so you can see for yourself. Soon we, the citizens of Kitzingen (KT), will get to vote whether the City of KT has to buy Marshall Heights or not (Germany is the owner at the moment). KT denied the purchase at first, then the citizens of KT obtained a public decision. That all just happened...
We surely miss our American Friends here!
    Tschüss und Auf Wiedersehen :)

Tanja T Harvey Barracks aren't abandoned are they? The housing here was super nice! Lower enlisted were given preference as the brass was afraid that we would embarrass the Army which I'm sure some would have. Many good times at the Green Goose and Crazyfeet. I made a very good friend named Eve while there. Sure wish I knew how to contact her..don't know what her last name was.

YES, UNFORTUNATELY, THEY CLOSED IT DOWN IN 2007 AND GAVE IT BACK TO THE GERMAN GOVERNMENT. I BET THEY ARE KICKING THEMSELVES NOW FOR THAT MOVE!
