Hi Tina, thanks so much for your comment here. It's great to hear that our video has helped you to replace the battery yourself...hope your Dyson is working as good as new now!
Thank You, definitely one of the best instructional videos I have seen. PERFECT, it was all about the subject and not the person on the video. Too many self obsessed people making videos that contain more about themselves than the subject. Your video was very clear, short, sharp and to the point, very refreshing to watch. Thank You, made my job very easy & enjoyable.
Hi Anne, thanks so much for your compliment of our video...we're so glad that you enjoyed the way we have produced the video. It's great to hear that you have been able to replace the battery on your vacuum...hopefully its working brilliantly again now!
Interesting. I just bought one and am already noticing issues with it. Very slow to charge and hard to take it all apart to thoroughly clean everything. Had a Dyson Ball vac before. It's cyclonic head had 8 screws which you could remove to take the head apart and clean it but the V8 has nothing visible. Also have a Sansui which is much easier to take apart. You can take apart the whole cyclonic head with just hand force. The Dysons seem to be over-engineered and badly designed. The only good thing is the motorhead. These really get all the dust out of a carpet. I was surprised at how much dust there was in the carpets in my bedrooms. The small dust container, unfortunately, meant I had to empty it 6 times so far. I suspect that there's more dust in the carpet but it will have to do for now. The Sansui never got that much dust out even though it's more powerful. But it's suction is lacking. The post filters seem to be the problem. (It's too old to find replacement filters now. I was experimenting with other filters but eventually gave up and got the V8). The other problem with the Dysons is how dust seems to collect in them in all sorts of odd places. I've taken the motorhead apart once and even found dust inside the motor unit. Good thing I checked that before any dust buildup in it caused problems.

Great Video. My battery has only lasted 2 years. Crap for something so expensive
