Seeing the Hummer brings back memories of Iraq and Afghanistan. Whenever I could, I avoided missions with Hummers. They were undependable, and spent long times in maintenence bays. At one time during an ambush, before a shot was even fired, the Hummer failed to start!

That's such a great way to honor your cousin, and an awesome vehicle too. I'm probably one of the only former USMC mechanics that still wanted an H1 after 4+ years of working on the military versions. there was just something about those things that I loved. I can't wait to see the after video!

Hearing Rico say "Bitchin" was both funny and indicative of how much passion he has for this (given that I don't think I've ever heard him say that before). So, when we charter on the new boat, do you guys pick us up from the airport and give us a ride to the boat in the back of Gator? :)

The backstory is emotional and touching. It is great to see the excitement in Rico’s eyes as he described the changes planned. The sound system will make the vehicle vibrate more than the metal roof did in the Florida rain. You realize of course that the Hummer could pull both an Icon A5 amphibian aircraft on a trailer and a U-Boat Worx Nemo submarine on a trailer up to your little “Bering It All” boat. Rock On with your dreams.

@@NautiGuys well give us an update on the pilot’s license and then do a tour of either U-Boat Worx or Triton. Have fun.
Instead of buying a new low profile roof rack, you could save some money by using the one that's on it, and still retain some of the originality of it, by having the mounting brackets and the upright bars that are connecting the bottom and top rails cut down shorter and re-welded together so that it's shorter/lower profiled and the bottom of the rack sits closer to the body without the big gap between it. It would be cheaper and still have the look it did when your cousin owned it.

I grew up in Boynton Beach, Florida; I no longer live in Florida but I miss those afternoons in the wet season when it would rain real hard for a little while and cool things off.

Gator is awesome, it's/his personal history with you(especially how you cousin affected your life) makes it even more special and unique. The sound system setup means anyone riding in the back better not have any Colon issues, sitting over the woofers means those seats better be Scotch guarded big time!🤣
And the mids in the back, OMJeebus! That is going to be freaking brilliant, the plans you got for lifting it 2 inches, light bars, headlights, interior fix up, sweet. You guys have worked so damn hard over the last 5 years, we're glad to be allowed, and invited by you, along on this journey you guys are travelling.
You guys keep healthy and safe, I think the majority of us watching want to see you guys getting happier.
PS: I was seriously geeking out over this one, when it was first asked if we wanted to see this kind of content - I answered a hard yes on that vote! I've always wanted that model of Hummer, it's just that cool, and I'd convert it to be accessible for my wife to get in, and store her power-chair in the bed with a ramp or davit to scoop it in. There are very few motor vehicles I find truly desirable, besides getting a decent wheelchair accessible van, and the Hummer has always been in the top 3.😄

I recommend that you redo the interior color from gray to Black or Tan. You also may want to include air bags suspension. Good luck whatever you do it will be great. I love Rico your very sentimental attachment to your Hummer. Your precious brother will be so excited along with you for this upgrade. Nice! I used to fix cars/hot rods from the 60’a and 70’s w/ my dad. When he passed he left em to me. I’m still attached to his 69 Chevelle and his 67 Corvette Stingray and of course the 1970 Nova SS. Memories live on in cars! ❤ your Hummer - such a classic! That’s what I think of when I think of Hummers!

Once you add the lift kit it becomes a copilot necessary vehicle, as you can't see cars on your right side, or shorter people on the sidewalk, or passing in front of you. Certainly a fun weekend cruiser, and yeah, you have to have really good AC to defog the windows. Your plans for the sound system "sound" like the highlight of the project, enjoy!!!

Sorry to hear about the loss of your cousin.. he must of been a good guy if he was into motorcycles, I also collect and ride motorcycles and had a very bad accident that almost took my life many years ago.. We have an H1 Hummer too same body style as yours that has been sitting for years, it needs work too I just need to find time to work on it! I can't wait to see yours finished it will give me some motivation to finish ours

Guy I love the Hummer truck bed I am all on board with the lighting package on the streets today you see a lots of sweet cars and motorcycles with LED lighting in so many colors but driving on the streets remember only white and yellow front red trun signals I think is OK what I am trying to say some police officer will write tickets for Red Blue Green Purple light on the street but that type of lighting package would be great for car shows. I first got into lighting at 12 working with a friend's band lights are Fun
My sympathy on your cousin lost at 67 I can tell you the passing of family and friends is never easy but life always moves on God Bless.
