- Many seasoned users of MPC/Force, even years-long users, do not take advantage of this powerful technique to instantly create keygroups of their favorite patches from software or hardware synthesizers.

Hey it’s me in the future. You kept the force. And you love it. 😊
I absolutely love it! And I'm about to release a new series of tutorials, since I've figured out more ways of working with it. Thank you for watching!
Keep it, for cryin' out loud! And please make more tutorials and videos on the Force. Would love to see you play with this over an extended period of time.
I'm working right now on a 2-hour liveset for an upcoming show. It will be interesting to see how it turns out. Thank you for watching!
That's awesome the force is a monster it goes deep there's so much going on with it.
Hello.. Yes, I'm getting fantastic results, but not without bugs, crashes and headaches. Nonetheless, the show must go on! Thanks for watching. :)
One of my favorite features of the unit. Disk streaming makes this as serious as it gets.
Nice, can you extrapolate a bit about this? Does streaming allow more efficient reading of the individual samples within the keygroup? Thanks for watching!
@@danieklerr correct, this enables extra laaaaaaaarge files to load quickly. Specifically long wav files and mulisamples
Key feature - definitely along with the chord progression feature!
It's a permanent part of my Force workflow, for sure. I somehow missed your comment, so I apologize for the delay. Thanks for watching!
Love this video, very informative - thank you!
I'm so glad you found it helpful! Also, I somehow missed your comment, so I apologize for the delay. Thanks for watching. :)
Just what i was looking for 👍
Perfect! Again.. Thank you for watching. :)
This tape is a gem. I can't waitto see the rest of what you make with it
You and I both, brother. Thank you for watching! :)
This is one of my favourite features on MPC, it’s difficult to set good loop points though, I eventually gave up and just record longer notes 👍
For sure. And it's amazing that the Force can support hard drive space to make this feasible. Thanks for watching!
Nice video!!!
I have never had any luck with the looping points and xfade.
Ended up giving up on anything i wanted to loop and all looping pads i ended up just editing and creating seamless loops in external software.
Might have to have another play around and see how it goes, it was a few updates ago that i was doing it. I have a favourite shakuhachi flute from a vst synth that i really want to get into a keygroup on the force.
Hello.. I somehow missed this comment for all these months; I apologize! I did a video after this on how to get really smooth loop points with Xfade. It's on my channel, but the short version is.. use huge values. For instance, 44,100 samples is a 1-second crossfade in a sample with 44.1khz sample rate. Thanks for watching!
the best result is to use x-fade at high number of samples. These are really tiny bits of data. use something higher, i often set 45000 or so. This way the loops are almost perfect
45,000 is an interesting choice, lol. Search on UA-cam for my video "AKAI FORCE: How To Get A Clean Loop In Autosampler." Thanks for watching. :)
Hello! from the INPUTS of the Force you go to the OUT of the audio interface to record VSTs?
The MIDI out from the Force goes to the MIDI in on your interface, and the audio out on your interface goes to the audio in on the Force. I hope this helps! Thank you for watching!

Revisting this video as I want to multisample a bunch of the Roland Vst's into the Force... it does suck that the Force doesn't have audio over USB!
In comparison the Roland SP 404 mk2 can sample from USBC.. so I simply contect the SP to my iPad and I can instantly sample at full res....
so with the Force I need a few more cables and hardware to make this happen.. the multisample keygroup of bits you made.. can you convert that to a drum group?
Multisampling takes up a lot of memory.. can you clean up any silence after a hit or note to free up space? I guess that would be sample edit?
I actually have a better solution for you! You can use the free MPC Beats software to sample your VST's into keygroups, with no cables needed, then load them into the Force. I did a video about this recently, using this technique to make auto-multisamples for the Korg Modwave, but you can do this for the Force even quicker and easier. The tutorial is in my vids, called "Instantly Create Multisamples for Korg Modwave! FREE SOFTWARE | Step-by-Step Tutorial - Sound Design". Let me know what you think! :)
@@danieklerr Man! you know now that you mention it I think I watched that video.. What a great idea.. I just bagged a 3 month free ultimate membership for Roland cloud and there is a ton of instruments, patches and sample packs on there for free (well free for 3 months!). I was sent another code by Roland because my first code didn't show up but their customer service guy had all ready enabled the trail in my profile.. no guarantee this other code will work but you are welcome to it if you want to try it?
Hmm, that sounds nice, thank you! My email is SnowMetalUniversity at Gmail, if you want to hit me up. :)
hmmm. debating between maschine and force because I use NI but this makes me think I could just sample the most needed NI instruments I use (Studio Drummer). hmmmm
Making keygroups is amazing, but to make really high-quality ones takes up huge amounts of space in the RAM. I don't think keygroups samples are candidates for disk-streaming, unfortunately, so this is worth considering. Thank you for watching!
excellent video bro!!!!!!
I appreciate that! Thank you for watching. :)
