Congrats for the awesome pictures! But I also found the 4k footage on the Note20 Ultra to be equally stunning. This phone is impressive! Thanks for this beautiful work of art!
Thank you Andrew, I have been following you for a while now and am pleased to say this was a great watch. Your relaxed, even in the face of potential great loss £££, and knowledgeable approach to documenting your photography is a great inspiration. The photographs you presented were stunning, I very much like the fact you included the iffy shots with explanation as to why you thought as much. Moreover it was incredibly refreshing to see photographs taken in daylight, real daylight, I am getting a wee bit tired of UA-camrs telling me my shots are "worthless" because I didn't get up at 1 in the morning, drive 5 hours to maybe get a half decent sunrise shot;-) All the Best and Good Luck with the Channel. Thanks Again. PS. (Is that a thing on here) having watched photography videos on youtube over quite a long time, Yours is the first I felt compelled to comment on, Nice One.
Thank you so much, Gary, that's such a kind comment and a real treat for me to read after working so hard on this video! It's a pleasure to have you along for the journey!
Thanks David! Skye is on my bucket list too -- I've never been! Hoping to maybe get there before the end of the year, but that's looking unlikely now. I highly recommend Mull!
Excellent post, commentary, music choice, and images. LCD view a plus. Good thing the sheep didn’t take a liking to your dropped filters 😁. Suggest numbering images to facilitate viewer comment.
Thanks so much Paul, that's really nice of you to say! Definitely noted on numbering the images. Not something I'd considered before but you're right that it'd be helpful, especially on vids like this when I put loads of shots in!
Amazing video. I loved that you would show and explain a bit some of the compositions you did and why you did them that way. Also loved that you put together such an amazing video with the Note 20 Ultra, it inspires me to try amd use mine more for videos. Did you mostly use the pro video mode or just the default?
Thank you! I shot almost entirely just using the default camera mode. It's really good as it is so I didn't feel the need to try and change anything manually.
Thank you. Wonderful video all around 👏 You have serious photography skill! You inspired me to take photography up again.. Earned a subscriber for sure. Were you using both the front and rear cameras of the Note 20 Ultra? When you we filming yourself walking and talking, was that the front or the rear camera? Also curious if the videos were entirely handheld, or were you using a Joby style tripod or any other device? Thanks again and keep up the quality work!
Thanks so much for your comment! Any video of myself was shot with the front camera, which was unfortunately set to only full HD, so I had to upscale that in post, whereas everything else was shot with the rear camera with the default camera app in 4K. No gimbal or stabilisier here -- it was all hand-held using the frankly bafflingly good built in stabilisation! It's great for these kinds of quick films. Only thing I'd have loved to have changed would have been to use an external mic as the wind noise on some of my pieces to camera was quite bad and I ended up not using some of them. I have a good mic, but it needs a headphone jack and I didn't take a 3.5mm to USB-C adapter with me!
@@AndrewLanxonPhotography Thank you so much for all that great information. Gives me hope that it can create good video without having to use a gimbal. Appreciate your detailed reply 👍
Hello Andrew, likewise I am from the City of Edinburgh but I have been self-exiled for the past 47 years in Northern Ireland. I just love that Jeep & tent - Do you have a previous video to refer me too? Also, I am 6'x2" would this tent be a good fit for me; what is it like in colder situations? Or do you rely on a high - spec sleeping bag? Either way, it does look like a good set-up!
Hey Allen, thanks so much for watching! I'm 6'2" myself actually and found it extremely comfortable -- feet weren't near the end and the memory foam mattress (included) was really comfy. Definitely get a good sleeping bag for cold conditions as it's basically a canvas wall once it's opened. Keeps the wind off, but it'll get damn cold! I've written a more in-depth piece about it which you might find helpful: www.cnet.com/roadshow/news/jeep-wrangler-rubicon-tent-photography-dream-scotland/
Hi Andrew, I've been using my new Note 20 ultra for some photography and found that in-camera mainly videos, reds are more orangish or I mean more bright than real. Even Blacks look greyish. I found these on my indoors. Outdoors I don't feel the same. Is this normal in Samsung Camera or somethings wrong with my device? My 4-year-old Oneplus 3 gets colors better and dark even indoors.
Who wants to come to Mull?

A very warn and engaging presentation of both photography and travelling with inspiring landscapes.
Thanks Michael!
Wonderful video. Casual, but well shot, and amazing photography. I’ve never been to that part of the world, but it looks great, weather or otherwise.
Thank you so much! I definitely recommend visiting mull if you can!
Such an amazing land!
Your best video yet!! And some of your best photos, maybe?? Mull is gorgeous. Where are you planning to go next?
Thanks! I think maybe Skye :)
Defo agree - great video Andy
Love what you are doing and please keep it up. Beautiful scenery and great job by the phone. Note 20 ultra brought me to you and I'm glad it did... 👍
Thanks Joe, really appreciate that!
What a wonderfull journey! Thanks for sharing
Thanks Simon!

Thanks for watching, Gary!
Excellent video, excellent shots. Many thanks
Thanks so much!
Great photos Andrew! Such a beautiful place.
Thanks Romina!
Some nice images there. The Islands are on my bucket list only having been to Skye in the distant past.

Very nice informative

Some hard work on show here. Kudos

Just sublime!

Looks awesome!
Have you used the standard camera app or some other camera apps (maybe with more settings)?
Such a great vid! Truly immersive. Can you share what stabilizer you're using? So smooth on those handhelds.
Thanks! No stabiliser, just hand held and using the built in OIS. ITs really good!

So very refreshing to see UA-camr not being another iSheep with showing their iCrap. Ohhh look at my iTurd and the iShit pictures it can take.
What are the settings you used on the Note 20 Ultra?
It was all taken in just the auto video mode

Hmm I'm not sure, I don't think that's normal and doesn't sound like what I've experienced. I'd get in touch with their customer service!
@@AndrewLanxonPhotography outdoors reds are red, only indoors i feel like its orangish. is it maybe bcoz of my lighting ?
