Just finished watching this incredible movie. Few times in my life I was consciously happy about being alive in this day and age. This was one of those moments. It was Refreshing, the graphic is stellar just like the animation in 5cm/s and Your Name, but at the same time you can clearly see in some parts the peculiar Chinese animation style, which was so perfectly bond together with the traditional Japanese style. It was Personal, coming from a Chinese family, I grew up in the West watching Japanese anime and reading manga. In the West, especially now, anime is really popular and many western people love the Japan that is portrayed through the lens of their artist, to the point that they start idolizing a country they never visited before. On the other hand, Chinese culture was not nearly popular and beloved compared to the Nihon fever. On the contrary for many years, and unfortunately even now, Chinese are known for bad things :Chinese food is not clean, they eat everything, Chinese people lacking manners and don't respect the laws in a foreign country, Chinese products are cheap and fake, I have seen and heard all kinds of things, and growing in this kind of environment, to be totally frank with you I wished I was Japanese. After seeing this movie now I realize how foolish I was back then and I don't know how to explain it but this movie made me proud to be Chinese. It was Touching and Emotional. It made me laugh, hungry, shocked, deeply moved almost to the point of tears, start screaming THAT'S GENIOUS, starting clapping my hands out of nowhere. It truly made an unforgivable memory of my life. It gave me HOPE, I am Chinese and I love Japan, and its people. Because of history, (and also the present political position, from both parties), Chinese and Japanese people for years didn't get along to use a euphemism, they actually hate each other. The joy when I saw that this movie was set completely in China was immense. To think that such a masterpiece was the result of the work between Chinese animators and one of the most popular Japanese company, gave me hope that we can have peaceful relations between our two countries in the future, so we could learn from each other. This was truly an inspirational masterpiece, and to me, It won the Oscar for best picture of the year.

This movie is better than 'Your Name' . I'm still under the effect of this movie and I always will . When I first watched this movie it semmed normal but i rewatched it 3 years Later and then it broke me 😢🤧🤧
While it may not have the best plot or story it is important to realize that the purpose of this movie is to teach you a life lesson you will take with you forever. The Movie makes the three different MC’s ask themselves the question What Is Success? The Three MC’s lived a comfortable life with a comfortable job Yet They Were Still Not Happy? They were still not TRUELY SUCCESSFUL. I believe that this movie is trying to tell the young people of this generation that success isn’t determined by your Job and Qualifications, You should not worry about the job you will have in the future the school you will attend but instead live a balanced life. 1.) Relationships - We see in the second and third movie that The Model Sacrifices Her relationship with her sister because she thinks she is providing for her. This was a common thing in my family. My mother wud work from 6am - 7pm and I wud never get to spend any Time with her. She wasn’t doing it for the sake of her job but for me. But what she forgot was that She hadn’t built a relationship with me. The guy in the last short movie was so focused on getting into the same school as that girl that he completely cut off his relationship with her. If only he had listened to that audio he could’ve enjoyed another 4 or 5 years of his life with his best friends and the girl he worked so hard for. My Main Point Is - Don’t work hard to achieve success and then forget the reason you worked that hard in the first place. The Girl worked hard to be a model so she cud provide for her sister but ended up nearly losing the relationship with her in the process. The guy worked extremely hard to get into the HighSchool But ended up forgetting the relationship with his friend whom was the reason he was working so hard. And when they all achieved their goal they felt like all that work was for nothing and that was because they had been so focused on work they forgot what they were working for. Success isn’t a flashy car and a mansion or a yacht. Success is a life where you live HAPPY and Grateful and Success must be balanced out between 1.) Family 2.) Health 3.) Friends 4.) Work When you balance all these out you will be truly successful. Cuz if you lose one you still have the other 3. Thanks For Reading My Message is just “Don’t Get So Focused On Work That You Forget What You’re Working For”

Amazing graphics

Success is a life where you live HAPPY and Grateful and Success must be balanced out between
1.) Family
2.) Health
3.) Friends
4.) Work
When you balance all these out you will be truly successful. Cuz if you lose one you still have the other 3.
Thanks For Reading My Message is just “Don’t Get So Focused On Work That You Forget What You’re Working For”
