Tajima beef won last year. But that's only because Matsuzaka didn't join. Matsuzaka is pretty much the best that they probably don't care about wagyu competitions anymore. Same with the best beef brisket bbq in Texas. It's so unbelievably delicious if you have it occasionally, but its sooo rich and fatty, its hard to eat every week. A lot of BBQ pitmasters prefer Tex Mex or other local food less intensely decadent than BBQ. And even then BBQ in Texas is eaten with raw white onion and pickles to cut the richness.

I live in Japan and the fat content is pretty high in Wagyu. It's really good and better to eat in small cuts or in hotpot. A giant steak might make it seem like you're eating lots of fat. Its really good and lives up to the hype. Its obviously better than buying American or Aussie beef which is also sold in cheaper prices in Japan even though its imported beef

DMS the yu in Hyundai actually isn't pronounced like the yu in Wagyu. Korean popular romanization is kind of inconsistent, both 여 and 유 when coporated in words are all romanitized as 'yu', but only the later sounds like the yu in Japanese. Because of this, Hyundai is supposed to be read like "hy-e-ondai", hyeondai.
I got some for my birthday, from the same source they have the in the video Crowd Cow. It's really amazing, good to try once on a special occasion, bring some friends
I had 6oz of A5 Wagyu stripsteak in Vegas. It was good, but a little too fatty. It does melt in your mouth. A little goes a long way, 4-6 ounces is plenty. My buddy loved it. Bucket list item.
Crowd Cow website has A5 Olive Wagyu NY 13oz $179.00. That is a very thin steak. I want one 2lbs A5 Olive Wagyu NY. I normally order A5 Wagyu steak from Costco, 12lbs, about $1100.00. Thank you for making this video❤
Aside from the price, the fat content would make this something you'd maybe want one or two bite size pieces of as part of a meal with other items. It would be great as part of a multi-course tasting menu.
Finally a decent review . A5 is really not all that . It is just way to rich for my liking and I actually got sick of it after two bites . In my opinion , A3 is the perfect balance !!!!
Old post, I know. But I agree with this. In fact when I tried A5 for the first time, I was actually disappointed, and also felt nauseated the more I ate because it's literally just fat with a hint of beef. It's pure overkill with fat which is kind of disgusting. I also agree that A3 is a good balance of beef and fat as well.
Well, I guess one can dream, and live vicariously through watching UA-cam videos. But to be honest, I don't think I'd really want it, it looks too fatty to me. Like he said, I'd rather go for A3 and save some dough, or even that American Wagyu; I mean,, I want to eat a steak, not beef bacon.
You convinced me , Pizza Day , Carbonara , Extra Mushrooms , Extra Cheese , Extra Pepperoni , Ham...Depends... That Mozarella melting in the mouth...Yam :)
Smart. I've had A5 wagyu before. It's about 1.5" square piece, 3/8" thick. A total of 7 pieces. By the time I'm on my 5th piece, it's no longer delicious. Too much fat. Meat with that much fat content, it should be an accommodation for your meal, not your main entree. So your A3 recommendation is correct, at least for my taste.
I've had A5 Wagyu before. It was good, but too fatty for my liking. Even after it was cooked, it almost seemed like it was covered in fat. It was very soft and delicate. I prefer a more meaty taste though, so I like a regular medium rare prime instead. Dog loved it. I gave him some chicken after I gave him some Wagyu. He spit the chicken out, which I never see him do, and he looked at me like "give me some more that that A5"

If you can afford the A5 olive then you probably have your money in something better and more secure than a 401k lol
Nah, 401k's are great for the weatlhy as contributing to them lowers your taxes.
*Laughs in Financial Insecurities*
A 401k is simply a tax advantaged shell to hold investments. Could be low or high risk.. Up to you. Perhaps you should bone up before retiring
401k Yes if your older and near retiring. If your young like me Digital assets is the best place to put your money. Don't take my word for it go check it out. If anyone wants to blast me I'll say this. I have a 401k and so far my digital asset portfolio has outperformed my 401k. 70% gains in 10 months vs 7% Hmm.
@@etishbite456 Buying gold in world of warcraft doesnt constitute as real currency.

I don't get why they don't wanna pronounce the 'Y' in Asian words like that. I find it weird when I watch a Hyundai ad and they say 'hun-day'
@@anonykip wagOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
DMS the yu in Hyundai actually isn't pronounced like the yu in Wagyu. Korean popular romanization is kind of inconsistent, both 여 and 유 when coporated in words are all romanitized as 'yu', but only the later sounds like the yu in Japanese. Because of this, Hyundai is supposed to be read like "hy-e-ondai", hyeondai.
I was kinda curious about it, until he said “beef chocolate”. Ok now I must try

Tf you suppose to do with so much of that wagyu, when a small 100g portion is often too much to deal with.

Beef chocolate. Probably the most accurate description for olive wagyu.
