YOU CAN'T EVEN IMAGINE WHAT A KICK TO WAS TO LIVE THROIGH THIS ERA! I lived just outside of Chicago where there were DOZENS of places where you could go and hear great music from knockout concerts to folk and blues. Good Job. Single. Free as a bird. Living an exhilarating life with really good friends. Terribly sweet girlfriends. MAN, what a buzz that was. No more.
The Doors were among the most controversial & influential rock acts of the 60's, mostly due to Jim Morrison's lyrics & voice. They had a lot of great songs such as "Riders On The Storm", "Love Me Two Times", "The End", "Break On Through (To The Other Side)", "People Are Strange", "Light My Fire", "L.A. Woman", "Hello, I Love You", "Touch Me", "The Unknown Soldier", "Love Her Madly". Sadly Jim Morrison died in 1971 at the age of only 27 but left a great legacy of music.
Ray Manzerak grew up in the Southside of Chicago and was around the Chicago Blues. He played Two keyboards at once, the bass, with his left hand on top of the regular, with his right, because they didn't have a Bass player. ✌️
The Doors were and still are iconic. Even in the 80s we were still going gaga over Jim Morrison and partying to their songs, using them in movies etc. They were all incredible at what they did and will always have an audience.
The thing about Morrison is that he was a handsome man, but he was also well read. He was reading Baudelaire and Rimbaud in high school. I was 24 when I became interested in poetry.
I am older than probably all of you. The great thing about that is that I saw The Doors live in Miami. He was really drunk and didn't finish any song. But it was EPIC! What he claimed as being innocent of doing after being arrested.... he really did. I was standing at the stage. Ahhhh good times...
Been following guys for a while glad to see you are doing your own although you are great together. One favorite reactions of all time is the two of you reacting to The Who, "Eminence Front."
My earbuds' battery died while I was listening to this. I couldn't stand to stop in the middle of this song so I got my old ones. They kept turning themselves off every time I moved my head. Do you know how impossible it is to listen to this song without moving your head?
Between Jim Morrison's poetry and the musical skills of Bobby Krieger, Ray Manzarek, and John Densmore the Doors could induce a trance or start a riot, and sometimes did both. Dive deeper, you'll be anything but bored.
Hey Tasha, 1st of all I love your Channel, the music is clear and loud. 2nd thing I'll say is it so cool to see young people react to the music from the days when I was young. 3rd and last thing i'll say is Too bad all music from starting around 1990 till even now all sounds the same. Rock and Roll is gone, Hip Hop/Rap LITERALLY all sounds the same, 2 million rap songs with a total of Three different melodies or beats for the 2 million Rap Songs. How can you not kill yourself from hearing that same beat over and over for 35 years since RUN DMC made Rap popular in the 1980's? Country music has all sounded the same since about 2001. Music that is recorded today is just repetitive.
lol "A very interesting song"... he was on drugs...that made his songs pretty interesting, Tash. But I enjoy that you like the music I grew up with. T-Bone on the other hand...yikes!
Morrison had dozens of notebooks that he jotted in since 14 15. Peace Frog has a line. ' Indians scattered on dawns highway, ghosts crowd the childs fragile eggshell mind'. He told of being 4 5 driving in New Mexico and they came across a accident that had numerous Indians dead. A older ones soul jumped into his body. Sounds fake but he was always involved with snakes, lizards primael lyrics. Thats a elaberate lie for you being asked why you have those things in your songs. Yet Maybe he did make it up. Look up Jim Morrison Oregan Cowboy. Dying of a herion overdose in Paris is beleivable. Getting a doctor to cover it up. Ok . Yet how does a American on a travel visa die and is buried in Frances most famous cemetary? He could have purchased it before. He was facing 6 months to 12 in Prison for miami. He wanted to get away from rock scene and just write poetry. He had miney and was ok with giving up fame. Look it up on youtube.

I love this song, expecially his scatting. I would listen to People are Strange, Love Me Two Times.
the coolest band in rock history.....when the Gods of rock party..The Doors are the house band!
Jim was The Lizard King, and he could do Anything!

Ah, I didn't know that, thanks! I love his piano/keys here.
Session bass player on all studio albums.
Not live
Great insightful reaction....you are very good and smart about your observations! Love the channel!

Such an amazing, classic song! Jim, at his best!
You have to see the movie Doors, Val Kilmer plays Jim, great movie! Meg Ryan plays his Lady!!! Love the reaction young Lady!!!
That's actually a good idea. I can't post it on here, it'll have to be on my Patreon. Thanks for the suggestion ❤️
Jim makin' up his own language in this one! Thanks for your reaction.
You'll need your best dancin shoes to listen to The Doors - Peace Frog.
Peace Frog is great
My ABSOLUTE FAV of theirs 🎶🎼🎵

You'd have to prove that you were there. "The Miami incident," incident involved a pantomime fellatio.
@@jackasswhiskyandpintobeans9344 I don't have to prove anything.
@@Pammie1221 That is true as an anonymous commenter, yet your written anecdote is only true as an anonymous commenter.
@@jackasswhiskyandpintobeans9344 question... where you there?
@@Pammie1221 No.
I think you would like Touch Me by The Doors. It was a big hit for them, #3 in 1969.
REMINDS ME OF THE 70'S PARTY TIME.
There is a Doors movie. Stars Val Kilmer as Jim. It's really good. Meg Ryan is in it. Directed by Oliver Stone.
..."and that's for the people who like to go down slow."
First heard this when i was twelve. Needless to say i didn't quite understand it 😂😂😂😂.
Gotta watch Morrison Live to fully appreciate his Legacy
The whole album is great. Like many others, I loved them as a teenager. This is the standout album.
Gotta love the blues.
Great reaction, Tasha! You always do such a good job!
The way you feel about Jim is the way I feel about a certain someone.
You’re getting your groove on ❤
Strong Howlin' Wolf influence it would seem.
Maybe LA Woman next.
He was Hot! Good taste Tasha, I like the song also!
Hey,...With John Sebastian on Harp. The Young Rascals.
Lovin spoonful.
