Damn man you did it on with ease. Everything still on the car and all. Good stuff man. Now if I ever need to do mine I know how easy it is. Have you did the realignment of the AC compressor?
@@sombratheq50To realign the compressor you have to evacuate the refrigerant and stuff. Best option is just to replace the (lower) idler with a 2021+ Nissan Z part number which is the updated one that doesn’t shred belts or get misaligned. Replace that and put a new belt on and you’re good for 100K.
That's simple. It's a positive and ground. You can tap into the headlight harness so it only comes on when the headlights are on unless you want it running 24/7 which I think is stupid but hey...
@@sombratheq50 wow! That’s impressive tbh, but ideally you want to change them out every 20k ish miles so they don’t tare. The VR30 is known to eat belts lol‼️ I change mine out every 15-20k ish depending on the indicator. I’m tuned FBO, so make a lot more power vs stock & is the the reason I change them out sooner vs later.
@@djivan831they eat belts mostly due to the misaligned ac compressor pulley. Z1 motorsports sells the replacement and a belt for 150 dollars. No more belt problems after that. But belts should be changed anytime you hear a squeaky noise when you accelerate.
Damn, did not know it was this easy. What was that long tool you used to break the bolt on the tensioner?
Lol it was a long tube I had in my garage I don’t even remember what it was .
Great video!! Thank you for sharing..
Thanks! Now I know the easiest way to do this, on my Q50.

@@2seepto your knowledge, do you know if this is covered by powertrain warranty ?
