Usually I can have a video playing that I glance at here and there as I work... NOT this one!! I was glued to the screen. So looking forward to the full review of the ReactR
I used to run Fish Creek all the time with my sister back in the 1970's and '80's , but have not been back in a very long time. When we were running it there were not golf courses or houses along it, and most of the foot bridges and some of the bridges for cars were not there yet. We would run all the way down to the Yampa river, run the gates on the river a few times, then go on down to a place that may not even be there anymore called the Steamboat Yacht Club where we'd grab some food and drinks along with other kayakers who were running the river. I don't know if the gates are even there anymore. They were upstream on the Yampa from a little park called Dr.
I can see how a tree could be disastrous at this level..that's some wild fast river paddling..Wow! Nice to see how all that rocker on that bow looked in action too!
Hi Wade... excellent video... Which kayak do you think is better for class 5, Pyranha Scorch or the Reactr? Stability, steering, maneuverability, surfability
That run is full on! Nice dry bow on the ReactR. Was it just you giving some space between you or was the Waka faster? Your buddy seemed to pull ahead of you real quick with very few strokes.
At this level I wanted to keep about 30yards between us just in case a big hole or tree I could “ReactR” and change directions Marty is a fast boater that’s got 1000 laps out there this was actually the first lap of the year it’s been so high he could not find anyone to go with him down the upper we were doing a tree sweeper lap
Isn't it difficult to jump into a demo boat on a stout run without much practice in it? If you could have had access to an Indra, would you have preferred it over the ReactR?
A swim here would be no bueno, I’m guessing it would last for miles if you came out of your boat cause I didn’t see a single eddy to swim to or anything to even grab on to, not that you would be able to with the way that current was flowing.

Exactly how i felt
Shit, right off the bat and you're in it! No warm up on that river! Awesome. Had to replay this a few times - I'm nursing a hip pointer.
It’s fast that’s for sure
From 0 to 100 mph in 5 Seconds. Respekt for that great paddling. Greets Norganic
Puton and take off

Nice that’s some good history right there

For sure
Looks like some of the classi alpine paddling in the French Alps. Very cool
Had that feel yes
Love the bonus footage!!
That’s the C Hole on the Yampa I actually paddled all the way down from the fish
When you're not talking or cleaning the camera I know this is serious 😅, man the upper part looks fast and scary, thanks for the great video!
Not many eddies to stop and clean
CHIT< CHIT< CHIT, YAH Buddy! rinse and repeat for several miles, some stout water there youngman 🙂🙃🙂
Yeah this was slightly higher then normal
So fast, so long. Great instinctive paddling Wade. That’d scare the b’jeezus outta me.
Yeah it was busy and I had only done that run once but not at this level
Hi Wade... excellent video...
Which kayak do you think is better for class 5, Pyranha Scorch or the Reactr?
Stability, steering, maneuverability, surfability
REactR but the scorch still is awesome kayak
Good seeing ya wade! Hopefully im more available to paddle next time you make it up 💪
Yeah no big deal we will catch up soon
Wade, how does the Reactr paddle in comparison to the Scorch. Is it as confidence inspiring as the Scorch?
I will do a comparison at some point
That was some run! Awesome!
Yup
ReactR looks great in big water. Do you think you’ll do a review of the large to compare to the medium?
I know a couple people that have the Large I will try to link up and see the difference
giddy-up! Zero warm up on that run.
You got that right!
What a hoot!
🦉 hoot
Oof. That would be a looooong swim.
Oh that would be brutal
NICE!
Fun quicky
great vid sir! Thanks
You are welcome!
Rock n roll!
I was the rock getting rolled
Looks like the React-R was perfect for the fish at that level.
Yes it handles the push very well

I feel either would be fine at this level but i paddled early that day and didn’t have the Indra with me
@@WadeHarrison oh,you own both?
Let’s go!
😎😎😎
Your paddling this when I just wish I could feel safe enough to make it down the nantahala smh😂
Haha it’s all subjective
Wade how are you liking the new Pyranaha Reactor? Seems like a totally solid kayak..
Love it!
Great to hear! Stay safe and enjoy some epic paddling

Oh for sure a swim could be really bad in some spots out there
That is full on haha
Little bit yes
Very sick!!!!!!!$$$$
For sure
That boof toward the end though!
To time for warm up paddle
Exactly
No propane tank this time?
Haha 🤣 no not this time buddy
Yeah, I ducked. Every time. Cool vid.
Hahha
