Is rcgarthe Boa the Taper?
@@michaelkaleck3178 no, he's basically the godfather of TBC fans and the founder of Crowesbase.
@@AmoricaWombofthefree Thanks Jojo
How could I forget to mention this.. Boa was the band’s lead archivists.
This show is all-time. I grew up 20 minutes from Lupo’s but was living out West by 2005. Ohhhhhhhh what I would do to go back in time and have my face melted off on the floor of Lupo’s at this show. Just saw the boys in Boston last week!
The folks that attended any of the 2005 tour shows saw something very special.
Yes, we certainly did. And sometimes the full realization that you were witness to something special like this only hits you later - sometimes years later - but not for me and the Crowes of this era. It was special, and you _knew_ you were seeing something special. Even the first half of '06 had some incredible shows (the Hampton shows from 5/26/06 and 5/27/06 are every bit as good as this)....and then the wheels came off. Again.
One of the lucky ones
Seventeen years ago tonight I was there witnessing one of the greatest live concerts I’ve ever seen. “Most inconsequential night of the year” - 😂 So glad to be sitting on my couch enjoying the show all over again. Going to those mid-00s shows with Marc & Eddie were some of the best times in my life, and the band was at the top of their game.
RIP boa
Additional note - RIP Eddie. He was really killing it this show. There's just a rare energy with this set and I'm only 4 tracks in.

Our landlord at the time was a big Crowes fan, but she hadn't seen them since the early '90's or so. So we got her a ticket to this show and she joined the mad circus that was our group of friends and their wives/SOs. She loved it, as we all did. Incidentally, a huge reason of why we got that apartment in the first place is because I had a Crowes t-shirt on when we went to see the place. It proved to be a great icebreaker. Many thanks for this upload - it's nice to get a reminder of what the REAL Black Crowes were!
RIP rcgarthe
I was at this show. What a night!! This is how I want to remember the Crowes.
There will never be another drummer to fill Gorman's shoes.
Truth.
This is godamn seismic. Gorman drumming here swinging for the rafters. The groove was on fire. Perfect balance of material as well. Much better than the MSG show the next night which I was at.
Worth it for another roadside tragedy alone. Just brilliant.
Right On ✌️ THANKS, Merry Christmas to you and yours R.I.P Eddie, R.I.P BOA
Marc just kills it on Fearless!
Agreed! Cool seeing him play the sparkly blue Dano 12 string too ✌️
15:38 Love how excited Chris is for Eddie’s lines. I was always pretty sure it was him saying “No problem… cool!” but this confirmed it 😅 RIP
Looked like a GREAT Charlie Watts impression by Steve slinging the stick on Street Fighting Man
I remember that like it was yesterday!
Every time i listen to Greasy Grass River I think about Steve's book and i can't stop laughing.
What's to laugh about greasy grass river? I know Rich kinda hated that track, but i havent read Steve s book...
One of the best setlists ever being played by the best lineup ever. Its depressing watching this and seeing what the band used to be compared to what it is now.
Exactly ego has gotten in the way of letting Gormon back in..He is the swing and groove of the Crowes.
It's not the Black Crowes anymore.
They already named the band years ago - birds of a feather
Calling it the Black Crowes is actually contradicting themselves
Might have been the best set of that tour.
@@tomk623 And that's saying something in a year jam-packed with great setlists as '05 was!
We saw so many shows in the northeast this tour. This one stuck out. They were tight and the setlist was sick. Eddie, he made everything OK.
Probably my favorite setlist of the entire 2005 tour, just at the peak of their craft
Not even CLOSE to their peak.
@@noneyerbidness what show?
@@donkukis no particular show, but early/mid 90s is the peak
Agreed.
Thanks Jojo I was at this show and it was an amazing night... Hampton Beach the night before..... Lupos was my hangout while going to school in RI....
Was there and it was epic :)
“Hammer of the Titans”
Incredible show. Thanks so much. I was there and you knew during Another Roadside deep sick jam it was going to be a special night.
Love this setlist
Forever !💪
Enjoy ✌️
I love rewatching this epic show..
My hometown. Thanks for the upload. They were certainly on their game that night. Eddie's work on 'My Morning Song' just made my day. RIP.
Thank you! Merry Xmas!!
Merry Christmas🎄 🍻
This show along w the one prior at the Hippodrome in Springfield - life changing
Thanks for sharing ✌
It is all good in the hood when you have had anything to do with Goldie Hawns daughter.
BET THAT!
EPIC! Locked in and loaded ready to Freak n' Roll
My morning song 🤘
Great stuff and man what a setlist!!
Im in Argentina, y got my ticket for march at the luna park!!!
Great show.. They have that swing.
This is a great one
What a great show. Thanks for posting.
❤Thank you Great stuff!
Holly fuck, amazing, thanks for this
!
“The most inconsequential night of the year “…
Man - Gorman was looking and playing nice n clean! I truly believe the Crowes should limit their opening track night to night between about 10 songs. Virtue and Vice is definitely one of them. Obviously with SYMM, there isn't much of an option since they've been touring that record. But honestly, anything other than opening with Give Peace a Chance or Wiser Time. As much as I love Wiser Time, always hated it as an opener. THIS is a BC "Smoke show"!
Does anyone have Video of either Upper Darby shows from this tour ?
I lost my instant live of 9/30/05 I was at that show actually lower front left Marc side changed my life ,
I was curious do you know where I can find that recording on cd or download is it circulating?! Much love
I was there that night. It was one of the best fucking Crowes shows I've ever witnessed. The next night wasn't as great and by the end of January the wheels were coming off the wagon by the time the show hit Florida. And here we are nearly 17 years later and watching the brothers take the stage in the most comical way ever, not even coming 20% close to what this was.
We'll have our memories and these shows via audio and video boots. Thanks for the share. I can't stomach going to see The Black Crowe$ in 2023 or after that with the way their business affairs are being handled.
I agree with you. I love this band so much, saw so many great shows and am so glad I stayed home when they came through my city this year.
Not to mention that they are playing the entire first album night after night ("plus all the hits!"). It's ridiculous! From the look of the setlists, the deepest cut you might get is Good Morning Captain. So between that and the new and not-so-improved lineup, I won't go anywhere near a "Black Crowes" show nowadays. They managed to stay afloat (especially in the '00's and '10's) because of all the hardcore fans who went to see them whenever they could; fans who loved the changing setlists, great covers, and rare gems. What they're doing now is a big, and in no way subtle, "f*** you" to all of those hardcore fans. Gorman certainly realizes that, and I'm sure somewhere deep down C&R do also, but don't care as long as the $$ keeps rolling in. I agree, David: so glad for the memories and the audio/video of the glory days. And for all Boa did for us, too.
Any chance you could send me My Morning Song from this show?
the next night,NYE they exploded in MSG at NYC NY
Anyone doing time stamps on this? ✌️
Yeah sorry, I was too busy.
@@AmoricaWombofthefree No worries, I’m on it. I need to know when Marc plays the pedal steel on Good Friday 🔥

When Marc left, the BC ended for me. Sorry boys.
WHO WAS REALLY TO BLAME FOR THE ILL FATED PAGE CROWES FIASCO? JIMMY'S BACK OR BRO. RICH's BIG MOUTH??
Who cares? Live in the now ✌️
Jimmy went to rich just to pitch ideas or help producing on their new album as they just received a new deal and riding that momentum from jimmy but rich straight out declined any notion of working with page. He was hurt annoyed and wondering why am I wasting my time even though he truly felt in his heart Gorman had been the most compatible drummer he’d played with since bonzo. Man Gorman is just an all around good dude and the BC glue.
Cool hearing Eddie on Cosmic Friend intro throwing in little licks here and there, then Eddie on Descending.....fuck yeah.
Thanks for the upload and Merry Xmas fellow Crowes peoples ✌️✌️
