As a remake rom hack this one shines the most with those new levels and new bonus paths on existing levels
Unlike SMB 1 and 2, it's cool how the later classic games like SMB3 and World work well with the NSMB movement and gameplay, a lil broken yeah but still fun and challenging
SKJmin is really one of the most dedicated modder you'll find. He's working on this mod since over a decade and still is on it!
This has to be one of the best hacks of nsmbds
I love how sinister the fortress theme is.
I actually discovered this mod by TyranitarTube when he did a full gameplay a long time ago on his channel.

Whats interesting is that both this & the world demake hack are decade old hacks. Possibly some of the earliest none kaizo nsmb ds hacks.

That doesnt really make sense since NSMB1 and NSMB2 arent remakes of SMB1 and SMB2, so NSMB3 being a remake would be a pretty bold move. A better name for this if it were an official Nintendo game would probably be "Super Mario Bros 3: New Edition" as a callback to "New Super Mario Bros 2: Gold Edition", or it would be a Level Pack for NSMB2, and if this were a standalone game, it would probably get released for the Switch, since NSMB1 was for the DS and NSMB2 was for the 3DS, this theoretical game being for the Switch would make progressive sense.
