Elijah_Gay you do realise elder scrolls 6 is coming out right? We might see a new dragonborn and the prophecy might not have been fulfilled. Especially because alduin isnt dead, he’s just been banished to the end of time and out of sovngarde. We might see more of the big boi in ES6 but its in high rock so idk
That prophecy was certainly fulfilled. The first line refers to the first game and the false ruler splitting the staff of chaos into eight parts. The second line refers to the second game with the Numidium and the warp in the west. The third line refers to the fall of the tribunal due to the destruction of the heart of lorkhan, the stone of red mountain being destroyed in the third game. The fourth line refers to the Septim dynasty ending and the amulet of kings, the stone of the White-Gold tower being destroyed, the fifth line is the state of Skyrim as of the game, and the sixth line clearly refers to the evens of Skyrim. No new dragonborn. Also, lore dump.

Actually, both sound inspired by "the 1960's - the turbulent year" made by John Williams for the movie Nixon, which came out in 1995. Mystery solved, gang
Indeed, it has good music. Unfortunately, I think a card game is simply the wrong format for Elder Scrolls. I see Legends as an entry that should not have been made. Why didn't they give us a proper sixth installment instead? I have the honour to be your obedient servant, E. Pedante
Tough choice between the oblivion one and the skyrim one. Really oblivion gave a masterful telling of the heroes tale and I think the theme captivates it perfectly. Skyrim's theme sounds fucking amazing and reminds you that you kill dragons and eat their souls for a living in this game.
Lmao, but hey at least redguard tell us significant lore of the elder scroll, it's the earliest game in tes timeline (before teso came along) back when tiber septim still an emperor and middle of his way to conquer all of tamriel, first cat look like appearance of khajit (as far as i remember) and the only game sload appear in tes n'gasta
my top 5: 5-daggerfall, kinda sounds like some war for me 4-oblivion, i prefer its intro theme, not its actual theme 3-eso, simply sounds epic and glorious to me 2-morrowind, sounds so adventurous to me, and always makes me think of the nerevarine 1-skyrim, simply epic, i can workout with this theme
i think morrowind is when they finally realized what they wanted to do with TES. morrowind, oblivion, and skyrim’s themes all tell a story. and i know that they all have the same composer, but that doesn’t mean that they all necessarily have to have the same sound. i think that was a conscious design choice
I love how they all have a different feel depending on where/when they take place. I've played many RPGs and ARPGs in my life but TES is the only one that made me feel like I am the character.
Starting from 11:13 up until the end of the video I'm all covered with goosebumps. Bethesda's glory days in game development embodied in epicly composed soundtracks. Just amazing
I'm happy people finally consider ESO an Elder Scrolls game worthy of these theme compilation videos. ESO music in general is arguably some of the best in the entire series.
ESO was made by ZeniMax, Bethesda's parent company. And despite its status as an MMO, it is remarkably close to a traditional Elder Scrolls game. Maybe not at launch, but definitely now.
ESO did a bang up job with the soundtrack, I think. Enough new, stunning scores like Northpoint Nocturne, but not afraid to rearrange and give you those old nostalgic songs.
I love how you can kind of hear aspects from most of the other themes all in the ESO theme, it's imo the most powerful theme out of them all, but Daggerfall's my favorite
What I think of the themes 1: There was a story... 2: Cool Adventure 3: A notable tune 4: Ok, now this is epic 5: *AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA* Battlespire: SpOoKy Redguard: Jolly and happy! Wait a sec... Online: Yep, you're doing this
No. I do love Skyrim and Oblivion but Shivering Isles is probably my favourite DLC for any game. I’m replaying it now actually. I think Bethesda needs to make another Shivering Isles DLC for a future ES.
Fun fact, both Oblivion and Skyrims theme's incorporate the chime from Morrowinds theme Nerevar rising. That little chime is the defining sound of Elder Scrolls music.
Thank you so so sooo very much for putting this together. My first Elder Scrolls game was Oblivion and I really feel like I missed out on all the Gen X'ers playing Elder Scrolls 1-3. I can't imagine how amazing they were at the time.
Top five for me 5) Battlespire- I find it to be over all nice and dark. The soft choir is a nice touch. 4) Redguard- Its upbeat sounding, like the hopeful feeling at the beginning of an adventure. 3) Arena- The first theme, where most pull their inspiration from. 2) Morrowind- It feels mysterious. Huanting. An ancient tale yet to be told. 1) Oblivion- It feels like home. When ever I think of the Elder Scrolls this is first game to pop into my head. I just love it.
As much as I like the other games, Skyrim will always hold a special place as one of my favorite games of all time. I've been playing ever since I was 7 back in 2013. And I'm still playing 10 years later. I just love the old Scandinavian Viking feeling to it. I've had a great interest in Vikings and the like. My family also tells me that I'm from a heritage of Vikings, from Sweden. So, I feel I can relate to it, even if just a little bit. I've seen people bash on it, and I can understand some of their points. But, at the end of the day, I have an unbreakable bias with Skyrim. You can call it blind nostalgia or whatever. No one can change my mind about the game.
My favorite of these, or should I say the one that has the most effect on me, is Oblivion. This is because I grew up with Oblivion and I've spent as many hours of my youth listening to Oblivion as I have Skyrim. Every time the intro begins my breath catches and I forget how to breathe. When I recently went back and replayed Oblivion, I started crying the moment I left the sewers because the nostalgia and memory of the game just bowled me over. I can pick Oblivion music out of anything at this point. Skyrim music, too, because of course the Skyrim intro is so distinctive, but I've spent full summer days at the keyboard doing nothing but playing Skyrim. The chanting is just my wave and pumps me up, makes me feel like I could be the one fighting dragons and exploring the treacherous mountains. But, of course, the Morrowind soundtrack was the creator of both and that game is on my list of "play before I die" games. A beautiful song that doesnt have quite the effect on me as Oblivion, but just as much respect. Then there's the Elder Scrolls Online theme, and HOO! That tune is ingrained in my memory. It reminds me of the time I spent in the main screen while I waited for my family to hop on and screw with Molag Bal's plans, running across Tamriel to clear every world boss, skyshard, delve, and dolmen. The memories of teleporting and/or running across Tamriel for Psijic portals and saving each and every piece, soaking in how beautiful the game is and admiring every little skeleton with its own story. The dog sitting in Alik'r Desert, and the time spent with Razum Dar and Darius, and the people I both met and parted ways with on ESO. The place where I found a community of people patient enough to teach me how to run trials, gear builds, and just hang out in general. Banding together to either do dumb stuff like a chain of dancing skeletons, or zerg in Alliance war, or even decimating dragons in Elsweyr and halting the Harrowstorm in Western Skyrim and digging up shiny rocks for a house and a wandering person. Just... These games have been so much of my life and hearing the soundtrack to any of them gets me emotional and happy.
“...when the sons of Skyrim would spill their own blood. But, there is one they fear. In their tongue he is Dovah-Kiin. Dragon-Born!” And then the Arena music kicks in.
until this day, i repeated skyrim for almost 8 times starting from it's first release, play the same damn role every goddamn time. Yep truly the best game i ever goddamn played, now im stuck with eso
Personally I had only played skyrim up until a few years ago when I got oblivion & online, I later played daggerfall and morrowind. What I have to say is that I never understood why people thought the other themes were good when I had only played skyrim. When I played the other games I realised why. When I played morrowind for the first time, I saw the culture and architecture, I traveled the cities and killed a million F@cken cliff racers and every time I heard the theme play I just had to pause the game and think about the journey and the world. The music in the elder scrolls is made to shape the form of the game that you are playing. Arena is like a fairy tale, Daggerfall is a story of war and politics and game of thrones stuff, Morrowind is adventurous and rich with culture and lore, Oblivion is an tale of heroes and legends, and skyrim is an epic of bold and powerful proportions. My message overall is... F*CK CLIFF RACERS
*In my opinion* The Oblivion theme is the most Nostalgic, the Skyrim theme is the most epic, the Morrowind theme is the most calm, the ESO is just great and i love it but nothing special, and Arena and Daggerfall uhmm... They are good!
That's fair. I personally don't feel the same nostalgia for Oblivion, because it was several years after I played Morrowind that I played that one. Also, Morrowind was my first true, open world, RPG game. They are all good, and Oblivion and Skyrim are great, but I think Morrowind is the best at embodying it's world.
Silphaer its funny because i have the same nostalgia for morrowind because it was my first tes gamd, but for some reason the daggerfall theme i like the best, idk the tone of it is awesome
My top 3 3:Morrowind i really love the music but it doesnt urge me to immediately jump behind my pc and go play it 2:Skyrim super awesome but i heard it so often it lost its flare 1: elder scrolls online i apsolutely adore this even though many will hate me for it
I made lego film as a school project in 8 crade and it was abaut time travel and when main charters went back to 18 century oblivion theme started playng it went together amazingly

Actually, both sound inspired by "the 1960's - the turbulent year" made by John Williams for the movie Nixon, which came out in 1995.
Mystery solved, gang
I thought I was the only one
Isn´t Daggerfall from 1994?
Damn I couldn't think where I heard the tune before! :D Star Wars was totally out of my thinking process there. :D
Thougt the same...
I love the Arena theme.
Daggerfall theme for me anyways
Now we've gone back to Summerset in ESO and the theme is amazing!!
Oblivion will always hold a special place in my heart
Never knew washing the dishes could be so epic.
Underrated comment 🤣

The Elder Scrolls: Legends has some great music.
Matasaga wish redguard gets a remake
+Ambercat4410 I believe it's a card game, which in my opinion is moving away from the spirit of Elder Scrolls.
Indeed, it has good music. Unfortunately, I think a card game is simply the wrong format for Elder Scrolls. I see Legends as an entry that should not have been made. Why didn't they give us a proper sixth installment instead?
I have the honour to be your obedient servant,
E. Pedante
El Pedante well they announced or gave us a teaser of ES6
Agreed. I still play to this day, I love the theme on the Khajiiti background.
When you realize skyrim's theme is just a mash up of the other themes with an epic af Nordic choir on top.

Oblivion is the best.
Morrowind is Literally the Salvation of Bethesda
@@danielfaress9879 What? How would it be the salvation if they were already making good games? If anything, the salvation will be Starfield or ES6.

Mom: you can't be emotionally attached to videogames.
Me: are you sure about that?
Tough choice between the oblivion one and the skyrim one.
Really oblivion gave a masterful telling of the heroes tale and I think the theme captivates it perfectly.
Skyrim's theme sounds fucking amazing and reminds you that you kill dragons and eat their souls for a living in this game.
Skyrim's theme is literally just the pirates of the Caribbean theme with a choir. Lmao
Oblivion is my favourite, but the arrangement of Morrowind is just SO GOOD.
Skyrim: take Morrowind's tune but turn up the epicness and add badass singing
Darnit, Morrowind! You give me chills every time!
oh god... he included battlespire and redguard

5-daggerfall, kinda sounds like some war for me
4-oblivion, i prefer its intro theme, not its actual theme
3-eso, simply sounds epic and glorious to me
2-morrowind, sounds so adventurous to me, and always makes me think of the nerevarine
1-skyrim, simply epic, i can workout with this theme
Have you heard the new eso: morrowind theme. Its pretty fucking good.
Hjalti Early-Beard aka Tiber Septim finally a top 5 that makes sense!
For me Oblivion's and Skyrim's themes are best
Same,I love oblivion's
Morrowind
14:14 - 14:40 This part sounds so beautiful yet so bittersweet, it makes me wanna cry.
Redguard's theme is so underrated
i think morrowind is when they finally realized what they wanted to do with TES. morrowind, oblivion, and skyrim’s themes all tell a story. and i know that they all have the same composer, but that doesn’t mean that they all necessarily have to have the same sound. i think that was a conscious design choice
ESO music in general is arguably some of the best in the entire series.
the game is not, the music is.
Cinder Punch I just bout eso is it any better than it used to be, I'm looking for a really good long term mmo rpg to play
way better than at launch in terms of available content, playability, bugs etc. Also closer to a traditional elder scroll than it used to be.
Cinder Punch it's not one it's not even made by the same people so that's my case it also does not makes send with the storyline in the other games
Reign of the Septims will always give me goosebumps, and the Morrowind theme will always bring a tear to my eye
I love how you can kind of hear aspects from most of the other themes all in the ESO theme, it's imo the most powerful theme out of them all, but Daggerfall's my favorite
I can not imagine an Elder Scrolls without a Jeremy Soule OST anymore.
Wow Skyrim ❤ the days i would wake up early to play before school
Wow you young af boi.
You're so young. That would be me during the Morrowind days.
Hahah yeah im nearly 19 now 😂 time flew

Redguard is long and amazing.

2: Cool Adventure
3: A notable tune
4: Ok, now this is epic
5: *AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA*
Battlespire: SpOoKy
Redguard: Jolly and happy! Wait a sec...

am I the only one that thinks that shivering isles is the best thing to ever come out of TES?
BLARGTEHTACO For me Dawnguard is
No. I do love Skyrim and Oblivion but Shivering Isles is probably my favourite DLC for any game. I’m replaying it now actually. I think Bethesda needs to make another Shivering Isles DLC for a future ES.
BLARGTEHTACO yes
*cough* *cough* horse armor *cough* *cough*
You can say what you want about the rest of the early Elder Scrolls themes, but whoever made the music for Daggerfall really nailed it.
Fun fact, both Oblivion and Skyrims theme's incorporate the chime from Morrowinds theme Nerevar rising. That little chime is the defining sound of Elder Scrolls music.

Its been so long since ive heard the full skyrim theme. That was awesome.
When you realize that Soltheim is probably where the musicians for Morrowind and Skyrim came from.
Ivan Ivanovsky Ivanovich Similar melodies?
Thank you so so sooo very much for putting this together. My first Elder Scrolls game was Oblivion and I really feel like I missed out on all the Gen X'ers playing Elder Scrolls 1-3. I can't imagine how amazing they were at the time.
Top five for me
5) Battlespire- I find it to be over all nice and dark.
Sad Nordic Noises
Skyrim skill increased to -100
As much as I like the other games, Skyrim will always hold a special place as one of my favorite games of all time.
Dragon-Born!”
And then the Arena music kicks in.
Our hero our hero claims a warriors heart I tell you I tell the Dragonborn comes with a voice wielding power of the ancient Nordic art
The Elder Scrolls: Arena music, never heard it before till just now.
It's really good.
If you're interested you can play arena (and daggerfall) for free they have the downloads on the elder scrolls websites
Who else remembers when Skyrim came out? Good times. Good times...
The Arena and Daggerfall themes were so nostalgic that they sent chills down my spine.
until this day, i repeated skyrim for almost 8 times starting from it's first release, play the same damn role every goddamn time. Yep truly the best game i ever goddamn played, now im stuck with eso

I never played Morrowind but I feel nostalgic?
Alina Nistor same
Personally I had only played skyrim up until a few years ago when I got oblivion & online, I later played daggerfall and morrowind.
Morrowind is the best of these.
Silphaer Agreed, but they're all great
*In my opinion* The Oblivion theme is the most Nostalgic, the Skyrim theme is the most epic, the Morrowind theme is the most calm, the ESO is just great and i love it but nothing special, and Arena and Daggerfall uhmm...
+Silphaer You must be drunk when writing that or deaf to 15:00 song

I think I would have to put the oblivion soundtrack at #1.
elder scrolls online has a similar vibe to the oblivion theme but it's very vague.
I made lego film as a school project in 8 crade and it was abaut time travel and when main charters went back to 18 century oblivion theme started playng it went together amazingly
