The jewellery is not so beautiful. But after she wore them, each of them turned as a masterpiece. She carried the grace of a Queen. Her beauty is unmatched since decades.
She was an epitome of class, sophistication, grandeur and ofcourse beauty. There's no one like her. She was Unparalleled !!! Extremely sad to know, her priceless jewelry are in British Museum. Modiji should make efforts to get them back to India.
What a perfectly gorgeous face about which poets could go into raptures. There's a bloom of innocence about her face that is inescapable. There is also a lot of mystery that one would love to unravel and expatiate about. If people, over the years, have held the Mona Lisa in awe, then take another look at Maharani Gayatri Devi; she'll hold you spellbound!
Absolutely no one like her!!! She was the epitome of elegance, style, grace, intelligence and unmatched beauty!! She always reminded me of a dark haired Betty Davis a bit.❤
Read the book. The Maharanis. I don't remember the name of the author. The book is about her, her mother and grandmother. They were some interesting women.
All the ladies mentioned as most beautiful had/ have access to plastic surgery, botox & a plethora of medical procedures except Gayatri Devi. In her era & time these were not available. She was a genuine natural beauty
She was a princess (Rajkumari) of the state of Coochbehar. On marriage to the King (Maharaja) of Jaipur, she became Queen (Maharani), and after his death, became the Queen Mother (Rajmata). 🙏🙏
Really a fabulous family, the Royal House of Jaipur. I heard they gifted Bhaktivedanta Manor to the Hare Krishnas and St Hill Manor to Scientology, a Religious Educational Charity. Both these organisations do great good service to great crowds of devotees.
On top of the British plunder, she had to “donate” her exquisite collection to British museum?!!!! Speechless! When the British haven’t returned the stuff they took, why will they give back such amazing pieces that were donated! So sad. “Disillusioned” or dementia at an old age?
I think she was not at all Desh bhakt otherwise she would have donated to the Indian government. All made in 1930 etc while poor Indians were fighting for independence from the British. All this maharajas were sold out to the British betraying their own motherland. No respect for such people who never supported their own countrymen to fight the invaders who looted India by exploiting the maharajas whose excesses were at the expanse of all the subjects in their princely states. No wonder the govt took away their powers. This royalties were the reason for all the infighting between royalties over centuries.
There’s no one more beautiful than her on Earth. Ethereal with angelic features, she wore no makeup and was quite tomboyish preferring her jodhpurs and riding her horses or wearing chiffon saris.

The commentator needs to learn pronounce Her NAME correctly! He sounds as if he’s choking. Why are some of the Maharani’s jewels stored in the British Museum? Didn’t she live and die in India only??
He was King of Coochbehar, Maharaja Jitendra Narayan Bhup Bahadur. The whole royal family was one of the pioneers of education and other social development initiatives. That's the reason Maharaja Sawai Mansingh II of Jaipur married her. He desired to modernise Jaipur and our Princess would have been a great support.

I loved all her pieces. She had wonderful taste.

The Princess Remembers written by Maharani Gayatri Devi and Shanta Rama Tao
Author is lucy moore. It was a fasinating read.

Apparently to be considered one of the most beautiful women in the world, one must be a queen or a princess. 🙄
❤❤❤
the book about maharani Gayatri Devi is " the Princess Remembers ".....
...to the glory of Excess.
Wow!
I read a book about her and her female relatives.
Whatvis it called
Украшения очень элегантные, ничего вычурного или вульгарного, очень красиво!! ❤❤❤Особенно в сравнении с булыжниками Ниты Амбани 😮

in 2001 she trusted British over India 😲...... unbelievable
Kindly pronounce the princess name properly.
There’s no one more beautiful than her on Earth. Ethereal with angelic features, she wore no makeup and was quite tomboyish preferring her jodhpurs and riding her horses or wearing chiffon saris.
There are more beautiful women among commoners than her. It is only that aura surrounding her that gives the illusion of beauty.
Kangana looks like her. ❤
Why is her jewellery in British museum?
Could you say her name properly? Please

And the british museum shamelessly accepted it ! No wonder the museum is called 'chor bazaar.'
OMG the AI narrator mispronounced Faberge in the first minute. Two minutes later it mispronounced Sari. I’m done.
Was she mad she donated her jwellery
All the jewellery is in London museum 👎

Dusgusting loot of public money.

Her father is a British soldier.
Rubbish. Her father was a Prince of Cooch Bihar. Well documented history. He and Indira Devi had 5 kids.
He was King of Coochbehar, Maharaja Jitendra Narayan Bhup Bahadur. The whole royal family was one of the pioneers of education and other social development initiatives.
