- We have a writer on our show named Gary and he has a problem. His office is a mess because he collects crap and he buys all manner of nonsense on eBay. His wife won't let him bring it home anymore, so he keeps it here. It has become such a problem that Jimmy decided to surprise him and get him some professional help from Matt Paxton from 'Hoarders.'

Doing segments featuring lowly staffers isn't an original idea. Letterman was doing stuff with his staffers in the early 80s.

Matt Paxton is awesome! I've been a fan for years. My parents were Hoarders (or collectors) and their 5 properties were packed to the gills. After my step-father died we hauled 11 tons of metal and probably 6 times that to the dump. I also completely filled every charity consignment store for miles around with donations. I would deliberately put on the show when my Mom came to visit hoping that it would help.... but alas, she just did a better job of hiding stuff! She would even go through the garbage after I left to reclaim stuff. I finally just learned to put it all in my car trunk and drive off with it! God bless and God rest their souls. God Bless Matt Paxton for helping with this family affecting tragic mental illness.

I'd agree that he's a collector, and that the "hoarding" is seemingly not much of problem at the office (not sure about at home), however it is still also borderline low-intensity hoarding. Some of the stuff like the shoe measurement device, child separator, giant stuffed rabbi, or giant goose have very little value, and/or take up too much space compared to their value.
That said, I would say that 95% of the stuff he has couldn't be considered junk, and instead is just cool or funny stuff that is just a bit too cluttered in the office.
I agree, what he needs is a professional organizer (+ the that anti-hoarder specialist).
He needs a large shop or basement and a professional decorator/organizer to help him display these things properly!
