@@imbangmaynn5705 Agree. It does seem i am the odd one out cause i preferred sf5 ultra far more than 5. It was just a way more fun game to play with a couple friends and passing the controller if you lost.
5 just seemed way too technical and less fun. I mean you could be knocked out in one combo ala marvel vs Capcom style B4 you had a chance if you didn't know how to link all those moves together while in 4, you still had a good chance as long as you can pull off supers and specials

VI is taking a much more realistic approach. But I'm not sure if it works with the often comical nature of the Street Fighter franchise.

Sf 6 have more realistic graphic, but i feel like sf 5 have cooler animation.

Now that the game is out it seems like SF6 has better animation, but a lot of it is really subtle. Like if you look at 0:32, Ryu in SF6 has different facial expressions.

A lot of people have noticed SF6 animation problems. All former street fighter animators and Dimps didn't work on the game 😥 The game is commercial success and has found a new audience with maintream.

I think the SFV animations are better looking currently BUT you have to remember that animations still get touched up till the final days and SF6 is still 6 months away from release so.

I can't understand. 6 have more slow jumps then even 5? I play 4 week ago. 4 feels like hyper speed, after 5.

I prefer SFV’s color palette and graphical presentation, but *much* prefer SF6’s character redesigns.
The actual gameplay looks more fun.
For instance, SF3 i felt as it bored the hell out of me, the sf5 ultra came out and had a really cool new look and super fun arcades gameplay
Then SF5 went back to the boring overly technical style and boredom that SF3 provided.
I'm praying 6 can bring back some of that arcades fun part 4 (and Alpha 3 ) had even though they are bringing back the parry move. (The parry isn't what made 3 feel so birding, i know it's many oeep's fave in the franchise but it was my least favorite of all the SF games, even the 3D EX games i found more entertaining than 3.
It's quite possible i didn't give 5 enough time but i was frustrated how few characters they had and also my favorite characters were locked behind a pay wall, now compare that to Ulta 4 and the insane number of characters. Plus, fir that generation of consoles, the art style was truly unique and looked wonderful.
JUST A SIDE NOTE TO DISCUSS THE MANY OTHER STREET FIGHTER GAMES IN THE FRANCHISE THAT MAY HAVE BEEN COMPLETELY FORGOTTEN;
HEY, WHATEVER HAPPENED TO NAMCOS TEKKEN VS STREET FIGHTER THAT WAS HALF DEVELOPED USING TEKKEN'S ENGINE? WAS IT CANCELLED DUE TO THE FLOP SF x Tekken was which honestly wasxan awesome game which no one really gave enough of a chance. Really it was not bad at all, the Tekken characters were awesome in Street Fighter engine
(And please please please bring back SF vs SNK, i mean why let it die, it was crazy popular on Dreamcast, the best generation of 2D console games considering PS2 was unable to play any of the many many fighting games on DC at the same level. The animation was sacrificed to point of never should've been made for PS2))

The Hadouken is Ryu's main thing... While the Shoryuken is Ken's thing.... That's why Ken can add fire to his DP and Ryu can charge up his fireball with electricity... They are excelling at different parts of the Shoto style

I like the aesthetic and style of 6, but something still looks off for me in terms of visuals; maybe it’s because I’m used to playing more animated style fighting games. I’m not really a fan of Ultra Super Hyper looking fighting games, or fighting games that could use a little more stylized detail. It’s sort of the same reason why KOF XV looks and plays so weird to me, the game is clearly missing some more artistic details so the characters and stages look plastic and stiff. Will probably end up getting VI at some point but it’s not a top priority for me, especially since I’ve just gotten back into V.

The Tatsumaki in SF6 looks kinda off to me, i wish they improve its animation in the final build.
It’s quite bad I agree. Ryu’s Tatsu should at least look better. He’s standing too upright. The EX version should send the opponent both sides like in SFV.

Street Fighter V just looks better, no question
Street Fighter VI has no correct shadowing, neither any hint of ambient occlusion involved
I mean, the high poly models on SF VI lack "depth", so we get that "photorealistic" (but not too much) look that it's neither fish nor fowl
SF V just looked more "coherent", while SF VI has that "sort of" Tekken graphics, where fighters have this "white halo" (like if they have a light source behind them) that has nothing to do with the lighting of the ring itself
This seems a problem related to the RE Engine and how it remains "heavy" under certain conditions
For instance, the cutscenes in DMC5 look so photorealistic, but the ingame graphics take a huge step down (compared to the same real time cutscenes, of course) because they cut effects, shadows, ambient occlusion etc.
I simply think that the SF responsible team had too little time to "optimize" the engine and get the best graphic results
This seems a "castrated" next gen game
On top of that, the World Tour mode looks awful

I'm SF6 they've really accentuated Ryu's balls. They're much bigger and you can see the outline more in his gi. Disappointing that they didn't do the same with Ken though

CAN SOMEONE ANSWER A FIGHT STICK QUESTION REGARDING CONOATIBILITY WITH PS4 STICKS (OFFICIALLY LICENSED FOR PS4). CAN I USE IT ON PS5 FOR SF6 WITHOUT AN ADAPTER OR INSTALLING S NEW PCB?
If not i may just buy for series X and use my wingman converter (my PCB for modding to work on both without adapter is only for PS4 and all Xbox systems so if PS4 sticksc are not compatible w/ PS5 games, then it would come down to which online service i prefer and i do prefer the Xbox community only because far more adults compared to Sony's community that's full of wild children.
(Just play Modern Warfare 2 on both consoles and on Sony it's mainly annoying 12 yr olds & only a few adults here n there but i find it far easier to find games with mostly adults on Xbox)
Maybe that was only coincidence but it's always seemed this way fir me.. 20 years ago it bothered me far less but i am 45 now and my tolerance for little kids shenanigans is a hell of a lot lower than before.

SF 6 Ryu - Idle is meh; walking is meh; Jumping is clumsy looking; Hadouken is is better than SFV; I actually like the Tatsu, I’m just glad it spins towards the screen now; Shoryu is meh; Donkey kick is meh AF; EX Hadouken is decent; EX shoryu is meh; EX tatsu is meh; EX Donkey kick meh AF. The REACTIONS don’t look convincing. There’s so many hit or miss animations. Harada needs to help them out a bit more. Tekken for example never had a problem with looking like the hits were impactful and the opponent reactions to the hits really sell the attacks. Not so much with these new Gen SF games and these water balloon looking animations. The Shoryuken on Street Fighter the Animated MOVIE looks better than every Shoryuken in this game. Also the SOUND EFFECTS. Why are the sounds getting weaker sounding with every release??? Some stuff sounds cool like Ken’s level 3 CA shoryu reppa, but everything else sounds weak. Ive heard LOFI beats with snare hats that sound more intimidating than any punch or attack in this game 🤦🏾♂️ Sound design in many ways is more important than even the visuals. I don’t know what’s the issue over there at Capcom maybe it’s too many people making decisions.
I can agree to disagree with everything you said up until the sound effects part. Listen to ryu level 3, Every hit sounds crunchy and you can feel how bad it hurts. Massive step up from 5

I love SFV's looks and animations. All SF2 characters look EXACTLY like how i imagened they'd look at their absolute best. I have no interest in playing 6....SFV is all i need.

@@johnsyborg not to mentioned 9n release B4 all the updates, sf5 really did suck. All of us who bought it day one were suckers only to have a far better version release fairly soon after. I think far quicker than others because let's face it, SF always had like 3 different interactions per game but at least now we can purchase the upgrades rather than repurchasing at full price ala SF 4 and SF4 Ultra. (There was no update at huge discount)

I actually disagree. 6 looked smoother and faster gameplay too. 5 seemed slow like SF 3 which neither no matter how beautiful, i just couldn't get into it but SF4 Ultra, i seriously couldn't get enough and played it on multiple consoles, even the 3DS version was outstanding for such a week system

Ryu in SF 6 is not too bad...I still prefer his idle stance and donkey kick in SF V though, and they are using a similar animation from Third Strike with the kick in SF 6.

I WILL SAY THE WAY BETTER, MORE FLUID ANIMATIONS MAKE THE GSME SEEM MORE ARCADEY AND FUN, JUST QUICKER ACTION. SF5 seems more like SF3, slow and boring while i really hope 6 brings back the quick ARCADEY fun that sf ultra 4 had, after SF Alpha 3 , SF4 kept that same over the top feeling of fun.
I don't get why people are utterly crazy about SF3, it barely had any characters at all and was super slow paced, far too slow for an arcade fighter. It is many people's favorite but it's my least fave.
5 looks amazing , i can't deny that, it just "FEELS" a lot more like 3 which is slow, technical, and kinda boring.
Sf4 ultra had the best roster and a better gameplay than 5. And probably even of 6. Even better art style. Sf3 had ugly characters..sf4 is the best sf game ever.
