Hello there! Well, I managed to finally get this video out, had limited sleep and breaks for eating, otherwise I have been stuck in Microsoft Word and Vegas for what feels like centuries. It tough to get done but after many drafts and corrections, it looks like we made it. For those who are wondering, we got the TFA Critique coming up and i'm gonna take a few days to wind down a bit then i'm back on with that, full throttle. I was going to cover Venom but I really want to push on with TFA now, hoping for a early November release, realistically. So I think I will skip Venom to focus TFA. Next up should be Aqua-man in December and after that.......who knows. I shall be posting updates to the Patreon about the TFA critique if you guys want more details, those are free posts and you can check them out here: www.patreon.com/user?u=4817956
Thank you for still making fun of TLJ. Because I'm still trying to digest how horrible that movie is and this reminds me that there's sanity out there.
You skipped over one of the dumbest things in movie history. When the girl goes to the Stargazer lab they show her a tablet with still images from P1 and P2. The P1 image is when it emerged from the water and couldn’t see Dutch covered in mud... as if someone was there and took that photo.
At this point I am willing to believe Hollywood has been taken over by shape shifting aliens with no concept of human culture and no ability to construct a story. These scripts would of got rejected as B movies back in any day.
"The final act took place in daylight, and that wasn't scary." Shane Black, a man who was part /of/ the original Predator, a movie in which 3/4 of it takes place during broad daylight and is one of the tensest, most anxiety inducing experiences of all film history, has decided "Muh Daylight = Muh Boring". Well done, sir. Well done, managing to forget the lessons of the cinematic classic YOU WERE FUCKING IN.
The scene where the Predator kills Mac and Apollo Creed (can't remember his name right now lol) is one of the scariest in the movie and it happens in broad daylight _"Anytime"_
@@megamovieman101 The only reason he was in the film was to do re-writes on the script. So he wrote a large chunk of the original movie. Which makes this movie even more baffling.
Avakrr Lmao that is amazingly accurate for this film, like for goodness sakes just space out your events with full stops or something or else your audience is lost
And then a spaceship comes and then the predator wakes up and then the prisoners escape and then they fight the predator and then the predator kills the other predator
@@kieranschafer5180 and then the lobotomized predator dog spits out a grenade... If you wanna see something that is actually like that take a look at "Axe Cop", it's literally the ideas and stories of a 5 year old made into a webcomic, and it's better than this.
Remember when the Predator was an alien hunter that considered earthlings lesser beings with enough intelligence to be a decent hunt. Using it's greater technology to stalk, toy with and manipulate it's human prey. A creature of honour, that would not hunt something that couldn't fight back, only those with weapons. A creature that would eschew it's high tech blaster and tools to fight hand to hand, if it's prey threw it's gun away and drew a knife in futile challenge? One that if you were able to defeat it's Brethren, it would acknowledge your ability, and gift you one of it's many trophy weapons gathered throughout the ages, before leaving in mutual respect? I miss that predator.
@@tessajalloh3914 Well generally, if you can switch "its" for "his/her" then you should use its. If it is "it is" it is "it's". The castle and 'his' walls: its walls. The parliament and her decisions: the parleiament and its decisions, and so on
The idea of changing Predator lore to make it more... grand in scope(?) kind of goes against what made Predator so effective in the first place. The basic idea is that they didn't see us as much more than sport. We were collateral damage in their rituals or hobbies. It's upsetting. It makes you really root for the human.
Thats also the problem with the new shitty alien movies. Predator was a mysterious and monstrous alien that came to earth to hunt for sport. We dont need to know more. More takes away the mystery and if written like this makes it fucking stupid. Same with Alien. First its some mysterious xeno found on some destroyed alien ship. It made you contemplate the unknown horrors of space and how this creature was a perfectly evolved apex predator. The rest was up to your imagination. Then the new movies made them bio weapons made by an insane robot. I personally love the idea that somewhere in the galaxy there could be planets with these apex predators like xenomorphs and that things even worse could be lurking. But no Ridley Scott just said, “lol so like these big pale bald guys made humans and then made a bioweapon that creates xenomorphs lol”
And it's almost every single one of them! Name something, you've considered a "cool action movie" - it's either raped in the last 3-5 years, or is about to be. Terminator(already twice), Alien, Star Wars(incredible triple massacre with two mediocre additions), Predator, Jurassic Park(also double combo punch), Gostbusters - are done, Matrix is on the way...And maybe sth else, I've forgotten. There are some lucky surprises ofc... I mean, I liked BR2049 pretty much, altho I wouldn't say it was an action movie ever, but still, I was totally prepared for it to be garbage. Ah, forgot - the "Predators" movie was recent enough too and it's not that bad (probably an accident)
@@Vladimir_Fedorov27 i was literally guna say "you forgot the new blade runner" but yeah, it probably shouldn't get lumped with those others, it deserves better
Mailman here, if they weren't paying the PO Box it'd be held at the Office until payment, or the box was closed and then the items would be returned. But that stuff would be held onto for weeks, if not months.
Do not attempt to use any logic, common sense, actual fact, realistic expectation in this fucking movie. It's retarded beyond imagination and yet many liked it. Like I get it, personal opinion matters. But REALLY?? COME ON! Apparently people like feces now.
See that makes sense if you didn’t pay your bills why would they be like “Hey you owe us money but we decided to personally deliver your package home because going above and beyond for people that don’t pay what they owe is how things work right.”
Then you could have a mailman open it by error and the movie would center around a mailman trying to bravely deliver his daily quota while being chased by all predator, government and specops versions. Pretty neat. I just got an image of a mailman on a bicycle firing plasma shots from the mask cannon on a predator running behind him WHILE expertly pitching a newspaper on the welcome mat of a house...
Counting is hard these days isn’t it? Instead of 1,2,3,4 Predators, Predator, The Predator, Predator 2 Simple, totally not going to be confusing or just plain dumb I wonder what’s next, What Predator? A Predator? Predator 1? Predator 0? Choices indeed!
It will suddenly become an advantage in the post apocalyptic wasteland where social situations are solved with deadly violence, allowing you to play dead like the mighty goat. Godspeed, ultra assburger.
Heh in some ways it's true. A lot of movies seem to skip on the details nowadays (Star Wars: TLJ is probably the best example of this) which might be excusable in SMALL amounts, but these amounts are by no means SMALL in a lot of new movies.
You missed the best part. Biologist lady, remember she's a biologist, claims that the Retcon "grew and exoskeleton under it's skin." That is an actual quote. An EXOskeleton UNDER it's skin. This is what a supposed biologist says.
FFS. It's a Endoskeleton if it's inside. This is something a basic exposure to Five Nights At Freddies will teach you. Because they have Endoskeletons. It's not massively complex.
"But Sir, Predator movies don't actually bleed money." "Hold my beer and watch. Let's start with an autistic lead, a colead with terrets syndrome, a colead that killed his own unit.... Hmm what else.. Secondary bad guy will instantly kill himself...
You missed Dude Blokes "best" line in the film! "I'm a SNIPER, just get me CLOSE." This might be the worst film I've ever seen. . . and I actively watch Neil Breen movies.
You know, I have Asperger's Syndrome, and I'm been around for a good while (in my final year of high school), so I can say with confidence... that this movie really is an insult to my condition. The only "superpower" I have is the ability to work out certain math equations in my head with few difficulties- sometimes. Beyond that, it is nothing but a problem for me, making it hard for me to speak in complete sentences without stuttering, to be able to connect with people on any meaningful level, and to break out of regular daily patterns without becoming anxious. I do bad in crowds, and I sadly cannot memorize patterns like other people with my condition can apparently do (especially not to the bullshit levels presented in this film). My only saving grace is that I have been lucky and have not been bullied for my condition, because if I was, I'm not sure how I would react (probably either burst into tears or throw a punch of punches out of anger). I know people think they are encouraging people like me when they write characters like this, but they never get it right, because they fail to acknowledge the drawbacks of Asperger's Syndrome, and instead make characters with only the good parts, exaggerated to the point where it is unrealistic and just disrespectful. I have been trying my hand at writing fantasy novels lately, and I like to think I can write some decent stories on my rough drafts alone. When I make a world, I always write out the rules, so that even if my story becomes a bit contrived, it does not break its rules. I do my best to make sure events flow from scene to scene, and while my foreshadowing skills need work, I do at least make sure the setups make sense. How people like this can get jobs in Hollywood, or any other film studios, with such obvious little care for lore, consistency, and dialogue is baffling to me. I know that I at least try, and the people I show my stories to can tell I try even if they don't like what I wrote- these people put no effort into their stories and try to cover it up with cool effects instead of checking the script. If the story sounds bad on paper before you cover it up with "amazing" effects, then the story should never be produced (yet they still do, somehow). Mauler, you have done a fantastic job with all of your rages and critiques, for movies and otherwise, and you have brought me much joy. You are helping my critical thinking skills for story telling, and have provided me with all the evidence I need for my friends when I tell them I hate Disney Star Wars (am loving the Legends Novels so far, though- I'm on a mission to get as many as I can). Thank you for all the work you put into these videos, and sorry if I ranted a bit. I look forward to your critique of TFA.
"How people like this can get jobs in Hollywood, or any other film studios, with such obvious little care for lore, consistency, and dialogue is baffling to me" simple, it's all about brand recognition at this point, which is really sad.
@@alansilvero it's all about dem connections at this point. How some people are even allowed to make movies such as the guy who directed the movie chips is all because they have connections.

Playing as the DM is a great way to learn interpersonal skills. It can be a trail by fire and passions can run high but it's worth it. Autism isn't a chain to a wall keeping you separated from others. It's a weight for sure, it will slow you down and it never goes away for good. But the focus and will power it takes to pull that weight will make you stronger.

Much worse. Somebody actually deliberately pondered this, thought it was awesome, wrote it down and then paid someone to act it, made the movie and released it to the world.
How hard would it have been just to make a sequel to Predators? A movie about Adrian Brody's character trying to get off that planet would have been interesting.
Say what you will about the casting of Adrien, but he and everyone else in Predators most definitely outdid every actor is this shitshow with all their performances. Everyone’s lines and delivery and piss-poor acting in this “movie” literally made me cringe and unintentionally laugh from beginning to end. “Who wrote this dialogue?!”
I would love a predator movie set in the future. Mankind is starting to colonize planets. We have a group of space marines on an outer rim world outpost protecting the engineers there that are prepping it for a colony. Little did we know this planet is close to Predator space. A predator arrives and begins hunting a fearsome alien species from this planet. It crosses paths with the marines and they fight. Because of our advanced weaponry and maybe augmentations or something like this, the marines are able to put him down with minimal casualties. They caught him off guard not expecting human soldiers and his gear was for fighting an alien beast. Before he dies from wounds he sends a SOS and his helmet feed to his fleet. Then a squad of armored and more prepared Predators come to the planet and just wreck havoc.
"It is not hard to maintain a tone in Predator. Thank you for proving me wrong Shane." That ladies and gentlemen is why I love MauLer. Please don't ever lose your sass. One of your many gifts. :)
I also want to mention how the predator that came to "save" the humans, landed the first thing he did was kill a man and hang him upside down from a tree.

But then, how will we transition into Act Three?" _Lobo the Lobotomized Dog:_ "Werrp..." _Shane Black:_ "Of course! Lobo, you're a genius!"
Next thing you know, Shane Black planned a scene in which the dog pukes out a dildo and the guys make a joke about it, referring to the girl. That would not surprise me at all if such a scene was cut from the final release.

I just realised none of the science people are wearing gloves or masks, which would be the absolute minimum amount of personal protective gear that you'd wear when autopsying/vivisecting an unknown species.
Yeah, this. "Alien: Covenant" did that just fine, by having Walter create the Aliens. Which wrecks AvP canon, because the Aliens can't fight the Predators in the time of the Aztecs if Walter didn't create them until the 22nd/23rd century.
How can you argue against daylight scenes when the most tense moments of the first film were in broad daylight? That's one of the things that made the Predator scary- you didn't need cover of darkness to feel vulnerable. He could be right next to you and you wouldn't know it.
Shaquille Shaw more or less. Dutch didn't even realize it til that point. Or Dutch was later hiding, camoflauged by mud and the Predator was crawling right next to him

Seriously, I've gotta say, it's amazing how much work and effort you put into these sorts of videos, especially seeing they're scripted. Writing, editing, and getting these large files uploaded, it must honestly be a strain, MauLer. With that said, it goes without mentioning, these are some of the toppest quality videos on the entirety of UA-cam, and you're without a doubt one of the best content creators on this platform. I like the sudden rise in UA-camrs, who are all critics of certain media, making really long critique videos and series. Not only is it giving dedication on the part of the producer, to come back and finish their work, but it increases the critical thinking skills of the audience themselves. With all the content promoted by UA-cam which basically forces you to turn off your brain, stuff like this keeps the mind sharp and thinking straight. Movie reviews, video game critiques - so forth - they're all really great sub-genres of content created on this site that are growing in popularity. That part with the address is crazy. Apparently the predator knows enough about addresses to use them but not enough to think that a person wouldn't have their own address on their wall on a note. Not enough to think he was going thousands of miles in the wrong direction. And somehow he isn't.
@@sobrev1viente You know what? AVP wasn't great. Fell pretty flat if I'm being honest. But you know what what else? It wasn't as abysmal as this dog shit movie. Even AVP:R was a better movie. Yes there are good fanfiction stories out there, but c'mon. Get real. The staggering majority of fanfiction merely exists because creative thinking is hard. Their stories thus have huge problems due to their own lack of confidence and often lack of writing experience; ridiculous contrivances, gaping plot holes, and they often break the very characters they seek to emulate. To say something is like fanfiction is not to hark to the very best of the best, the 0.00001% of Fanfiction that isn't total vomit.
Hollywood has an intellectual wall around it and if you don't push their agenda you don't get in, so in a complete echo chamber they write utter shit surrounded by yes men and others devoid of logic or talent approvingly supporting their scribbles.
RyanKaufman Pretty sure that JammyONE wasn't saying that all, or even most, fanfictions are good. He's saying that many of them are young, amateur writers that have actual ideas, even if they aren't good ones. Comparing them to the so-called professionals that create vapid movies like The Predator, who put little effort into anything, is an insult.
Actually weaponize autism. Brilliant. The irony of this is amazing tho. My brother is on the spectrum and we recently watched the first 6 mcu movies and he pointed out all of the plot holes and inconsistencies. He would obliterate this movie.
Well most people with Asperger's don't act like weird space aliens, they act like social awkward/impaired people. Intellectually, most of them are right around where most people are, plus or minus a few IQ points, they just don't do well in social situations. They are poor at picking up social cues, reading body language, and understanding how non-verbal communication works, but that's about it. They aren't known for acting like they are completely out of touch with reality, like some of the more extreme forms of Autism can do to someone. It's a weird choice because people with Asperger's are decidedly the least "alien" out of all the people on the spectrum, and I say that trying to be as respectful as I can be to such individuals.
Seriously though. Where in the movie did it say he actually had Asperger? The kids call him assburgers, but that could just be a way to pick on him. I dont remember the movie actually saying he had aspergers. He didn't seem like one with aspergers imo.
@@TheBarser of course he doesnt act like someone who is actually on the spectrum would. The writers clearly have no idea what they're doing. It's heavily implied that he is tho. I liked Predator 2. Was it as good as the original? Hell no. It was a cheesefest, but it was a good cheesefest. The last scream of the 80s before the 90s happend and it was fun :)
Predator 2 is definitely inferior to the original but I can still sit down, watch it and have a jolly good time. Even ruthlessly making fun of it isn't enough to make this movie tolerable. It's pure dogshit
So the Predators are stealing magical survival powers from the spinal fluid of other species. Which is why they let Glover go when he successfully beats a Predator in front of them, instead of stealing his spinal fluid to improve their Borg-essence. And gave him a trophy for killing the Predator. This is literally Predator Midichlorians. Wait, do Xenomorphs even have spinal columns?
What happened to them just hunting worthy prey. Like no seriously, that was enough of a motive and it helped establish the predators as being so far beyond humanity in power that they view us as big game hunting.
You all do realize that almost all of of the unique (but simple designed) SF/action films of 70's and 80's were totally destroyed. Think about it--Terminator franchise: destroyed. Alien: destroyed, Predator: destroyed, Star Wars: destroyed, Die Hard: destroyed, etc.
Blade Runner: destroyed (and already ruined by the DC, which also soured me on Harrison Ford when he lied to go along with the Ridley Scott take-two cash-grab). Aliens: ...myeh; only the second one was a real A-list action blockbuster; the others were lower-budget horror movies, none of which were as good (JLC-in-panties fan-service notswithstanding) as Carpenter's "The Thing".
To be fair it’s not that stupid. Like I could easily go out and hunt animals in the world because of superior technology but I wouldn’t mind being as fast as a cheetah or strong as a gorilla or able to breather under water etc (cannot believe I’m defending anything about this film) it was executed in the most stupid way possible in this film with the surgido traits being autism and something to do with global warming
Actual mailman here in the United States. The package were been returned to sender. It would not have been forwarded on to a home address, unless there was a valid forward. clearly there isn’t because he sent it to the P.O. Box. Do you remember when writers researched topics first? Sigh.
The original movie is a modern classic, because it's a very subversive movie. The guys from RLM made a fantastic analysis about it. The movie starts out,as your typical 80's action flick, with macho commandos, going to a mission into the jungle and then turns into a slasher, but with the twist, that the killer is not some Jason or Michael Myers character, but a beefed up alien, armed with some awesome tech. You see these manly men ,losing their shit,as they're getting murdered one by one,by the Pred. In the end only Arnie is left, his squad all dead,no weapons left and fighting the Pred one-on-one,isn't an option, because the fucker is too strong, even for him. So,Arnie uses his cunning,to trap the Predator,in the end he won, because he outsmarted him. The new movie on the other hand,is just a Rated-R version of Suicide Squad, with lots of ''yo momma''-jokes,CGI-blood and a story that throws the entire Predator lore, out of the window, similar to what Alien:Covenant did with the Aliens. For example,it is established, that the Preds hunt for sport, not to gather DNA or some bullshit.

This movie is a perfect repesentation of what's wrong with Hollywood nowadays. Back in the day, from the late 70's to mid 90's,you could pitch an original idea to a studio and if they liked it,they would gave you a moderate budget and let you do your thing. This is how we got Star Wars, all the early Spielberg movies like E.T. ,Jaws,Strange Encounters,Indiana Jones,Terminator,Ghostbusters,Alien,Predator,Back to the Future,Robocop etc. etc. etc. Nowadays, the studios won't finance an original idea, they only make movies, based on existing IP's,like comics, videogames, books etc. or they take an older IP,like Terminator,Alien,Star Wars or here Predator and reboot/remake it and completely screw it up during the process. The only exception was Mad Max:Fury Road, because the original director/writer,George Miller made it happen, the studio was actually not interested in it and he had to struggle with them for years,to get it done.Same thing, with the Karate Kid show,Cobra Kai,which was made by 2 guys who are huge fans of the original.
doubleP side note, even mad max did it kinda wrong, soft reboot that retconed continuity an aparenty only follows after thunderdome with a different max, or it fucks up the timeline of the apocalypse several times, watch E;R's video on it for te agendas in it
"The Predator" also breaks the entire idea of the "Predators" where they kidnap talented people off earth and bring them to an uninhabited planet to hunt them.
To me at least the whole 'abduct the people we want to hunt and drop them on a pre-prepared hunting planet' that was the basis of Predators seemed like a direct result of Predator 2 with the humans becoming a bit too "informed" about them (The whole shadowy government agency that tries to capture the predator in the second film) as if they were trying to get around having to fight through ranks of tacticool mooks to get to the guys they actually wanted to hunt in the first place.
If I remember correctly the Yautja have a caste/class system and the "Nobles" just kidnap people to hunt them on planets, while "Common" Yautja have to go to planets to hunt. .... Now this makes me want to read up on the Predator lore again.

AvP wasn't all that bad. It wasn't great, but it was comparable to the less successful Alien movies. Same for Predators, not great, but certainly better than this trash.
I agree. Always thought Predator was hugely inferior to Alien, and that it hurt the Alien franchise to have this predator nonsense tacked on. But looking back at it, the first AVP was a decent action-horror exercise in mindlessness. But the setting was nice, the acting not horrific, the effects OK and the story didn't aggressively try to destroy the two franchises it was trying to greedily exploit. The second AvP though...Man that was almost as bad as Prometheus and Covenant. Not quite though. It was so stupid and overlooked that it was pretty easy to ignore it. Not like the two recent torpedoes Ridley Scott decided to launch at the hull of the franchise he very definitely did not invent, but massively benefited from early in his career. I grew up with a guy that had Tourettes. Through the 12 years I knew him, I never once heard him randomly yell anything, let alone curse. He did have some rather bad ticks though.
Predator - amazing! Predator 2 - pretty good AvP - guilty pleasure but honestly pretty good and a new story for both aliens and predators. AvPR- no Predators- really good, and a clever way to retell the predator story. The Predator- this movie makes me root for the predator while killing people, because these people are so stupid....
So what you’re saying is that Shane Black took a page from Rian Johnson, and killed off Bad Guy in a stupid way and than the film continues like normal. Wow, just wow.
New Predator lore is overly complex and gay. Anna's monologue in Predator '87 describing this prolific hunter as "the demon that makes trophies of men" is utterly badass.
"overly complex and gay" That 'gay' bit was a bit random. The new predators are gay? Well, most martial and militaristic warrior cultures had a lot of intense male bonding going on, the boys would get a bit a carried away and didn't really relate to women, so that's no surprise. Does this predator rape anyone?
Well, their romantic lives aren't touched upon much, but I think that would actually be seen as a weakness to be homosexual. The only time I can ever remember a line about a female Yautja is in the AVP novel series (the good one) where Dachande reminisces about being with his wife
it's a give and take. i know a guy who can memorise song lyrics the very moment he hears them for the first time... but he has a severe speech impediment. i know a woman who will remember your birthday years after she learns it... but is so socially awkward that she couldn't even wish you a happy birthday. i know a guy who memorised every single bus route in the country... but is mortally afraid of physical contact.as for me? it's more like a doctor jekyll & mr hyde kind of thing. fairly smart, but also a tremenduous anger i needed to learn to control, which certainly wasn't wasy.
Yeah that'd be great... It takes me a while to get used to people but I remember very insignificant things from years ago, I like the maths, and I'm very imaginative.
I shall be posting updates to the Patreon about the TFA critique if you guys want more details, those are free posts and you can check them out here:

Thank you for still making fun of TLJ. Because I'm still trying to digest how horrible that movie is and this reminds me that there's sanity out there.
We're living in an age where movie reviews are actually more entertaining than the movies themselves.
yes, and save me the trouble of watching the movies (which I was not going to do anyway, but at least now I can get some entertainment from them).
I knew I'd never watch this movie but enjoyed this review of it probably more than I would've

Yup. I've saved so much money from watching extensive, entertaining reviews rather than this garbage-fire, abortion of a film.

You skipped over one of the dumbest things in movie history. When the girl goes to the Stargazer lab they show her a tablet with still images from P1 and P2. The P1 image is when it emerged from the water and couldn’t see Dutch covered in mud... as if someone was there and took that photo.
What in the actual fuck.
At this point I am willing to believe Hollywood has been taken over by shape shifting aliens with no concept of human culture and no ability to construct a story. These scripts would of got rejected as B movies back in any day.

@@cymes82 Haha
@Corvo@AZ Still better than the 2018 version no?
The idea of changing Predator lore to make it more... grand in scope(?) kind of goes against what made Predator so effective in the first place. The basic idea is that they didn't see us as much more than sport. We were collateral damage in their rituals or hobbies. It's upsetting. It makes you really root for the human.
its like if we put 50 Doom guys instead of just 1 (the player)

Then you could have a mailman open it by error and the movie would center around a mailman trying to bravely deliver his daily quota while being chased by all predator, government and specops versions.

And they chose aspergers of all things too. Thats just strange. If he was rain man autistic fine. But aspergers isnt a "hack alien technology" autism.
@Lil toot your a pussy

Predator 2 was a masterpiece next to this
Predator 2 actually got better the more you saw it. Which most movies can't do anymore.
Predator 2 is definitely inferior to the original but I can still sit down, watch it and have a jolly good time.
Even ruthlessly making fun of it isn't enough to make this movie tolerable. It's pure dogshit
Predator is a great movie. Predator 2 is a great Predator movie.
Predator 2 doesn’t deserve all the hate it gets - especially when you compare it to the modern films. I own 1 & 2, none of the others.
My poor Predator franchise.
My poor, poor Predator franchise.
You deserved better. Much better.
Well . . . what's the next franchise on Hollywood's hit list to destroy?
Indiana Jones
Oh wait...
They will probably ruin Rambo with Rambo 5 too.
All of them
Aren't they trying to reboot Robocop again? Let's see if they can kill the same franchise twice in a 5 year period.
I am pretty sure this franchise was already destroyed.. The predator, and even the alien movies have been consistently shit for a decade now.
Berserkasaurus Rex Yeah they do, but they view predaliens as abominations so that’s probably why they wouldn’t use their DNA.
Plus the spinal fluid would probably burn through the plastic test tube.
What happened to them just hunting worthy prey. Like no seriously, that was enough of a motive and it helped establish the predators as being so far beyond humanity in power that they view us as big game hunting.
@@oddluck4180 movies need to be overly complex and gory yet funny and stupid for kids in todays world.
Exactly. Taking spinal fluid from the losers but not taking it from the victors seems strange, doesn't it?

What about Mad Max and Rocky?

cohobast92 give it time, they’ll be milked to death eventually by Hollywood.
Blade Runner: destroyed (and already ruined by the DC, which also soured me on Harrison Ford when he lied to go along with the Ridley Scott take-two cash-grab). Well, you convinced me to finally see the original predator movie.
It was fantastic. I'm glad I watched that instead of this piece of trash
@@doublep1980 yeah I don't watch a lot of movies, but I find my time is usually better spent looking up old things that we know are good rather than gambling on new shit.
It doesn't help that mainstream critics are either bought or have their heads so far up their own digestive tracts that they are basically useless. On the bright side it leaves an open niche for fan content to shine :D
+doubleP and dont forget, it was more than just subversive because nobody knew predator back then.
The only exception was Mad Max:Fury Road, because the original director/writer,George Miller made it happen, the studio was actually not interested in it and he had to struggle with them for years,to get it done.Same thing, with the Karate Kid show,Cobra Kai,which was made by 2 guys who are huge fans of the original.
doubleP side note, even mad max did it kinda wrong, soft reboot that retconed continuity an aparenty only follows after thunderdome with a different max, or it fucks up the timeline of the apocalypse several times, watch E;R's video on it for te agendas in it
As someone with Asperger's I can totally confirm we all have secret super powers...
So secret you don't even know you have them yourself?
Can you taste colours?
*I knew it.*

Believe it. Because this movie,.....had forced Marvel movie/Dead pool humor with stupid ass direction.
Yeah, let's just destroy all that! I'm the only great thing around here, not those stupid movies I made before I got Alzheimers!
@@ShiningDarknes AvP was bad but it was...good...bad? Idk it was enjoyable despite it being terrible and it was at the very least respectful to the two franchises.
AvP: R was horrible though, I hated that film because it was one of the first films that butchered the xenomorph, turning it from a quiet, stealthy and smart killer to a dumb, mindless monster.
I think the first AVP may not have been a good movie, but it was still a really fun one. If you just cut out a few dumb and/or boring scenes it's a pretty solid movie.

I bet he was watching The Last Jedi and thought "Man that Snoke scene was _gold_ !"
New Predator lore is overly complex and gay. Anna's monologue in Predator '87 describing this prolific hunter as "the demon that makes trophies of men" is utterly badass.
Goddamn fucking right!
I like how the cycle of the same scenes just slowly devolves into the feeling of madness and insanity.
I wish aspergers gave us super powers rather than horrible social skills....
