    I owned a 1965 GT Fastback for 13 years. Most fun car I ever owned. I wish I had never sold it.

    VERY nice... I owned a '65-1/2 Mustang ('65 exterior, '66 pony interior) and it always had that 'American Ferrari' sound... How I wish I had kept it!

    This is the most desirable of all mustangs in my opinion, just absolutely beautiful & with that all important, definitive V8 bass-note to listen to ... It sounds like a fire-breathing monster .... Beautiful ! :)

    finished mine, it's a little surprise package, that old 260 is wide awake now... used to struggle to 90mph now winds strait off the clock, still pulling.

    I love this mustang!! That 289 motor is excellent. I used to have a 289 in a 64 Fairlane, of course it wasn't the cobra motor but I ran the hell out of that motor and it was tuff and never broke down, always dependable and ready to go.

    No, not on a Ford from 1965, wasn't even thought of then. Back then you really had to know how to drive, and cars were cars, not the econobox appliances on wheels available today.

    its a nice car but the 65 fastback my dad and i built sounds better looks better and a hell of a lot more power a 351 Windsor block stroked out to 438 with a 5 speed and the rear wheel wells are tubbed out to fit 12 inch street drag mickeys, got plenty of grip for a 620 whp 585 fpt motor the cars rocks at and idol and u cant hear the person in the passenger seat talk when your going through the gears the cars monster nice car though man

    They handle like SHIT! If you've ever owned one you know the front end design was ABSOLUTELY horrendous to steer and a very very poor set-up

    • @QualityClassics
      @QualityClassics  7 років тому

      True fro stock Stangs, especially NON-GT's .... however, GT's or even non-stock Stangs can be improved and handle quite nice for 50 year old cars.

      That’s why they dominated Camero’s and corvettes in road racing
