I want to be this cool when I'm old. I've always told people I'd be a "sensei" with a long white ponytail on a rocket. Hopefully I'm still able to ride when I'm in my 70's lol.
LifeRocket7 I'm sure you'll be able to ride in your 70's with no problems man. My father is 73 and the guy is seriously in better shape than I am at 36! He plays tennis with guys my age every day beating them most of the time, and he ran a 6:28 mile not too long ago! He rides his BMW K1600 GTL, or his Harley Davison CVO Screamin' Eagle 110 Dyna every weekend with his friends who are also in their 70's. These guys ride fast too. I've been riding motorcycles since I was old enough to get my license, and I raced 125 & 250cc dirtbikes before that, and I have to push it to keep up with these freaking guys when I ride with them lol. You'll be fine at that age man :)
"Crazy old guy" is just rich; Nothing more, nothing less. He can't drive for $hit, and couldn't change the plugs if his Trust Fund Attorneys' life depended on it. Smokin' car, but he's far more worried about lookin' cool than anything else. He has NEVER plopped a stool down when he was alone in the garage just to admire the artwork......
Well had the 67 Fastback nearly a year now...and still watch this.. 302 mild cam. 4spd top loader. 4.11 rears. want to swap the rear gears out for 3;50s and get the motor stroked to 347..
People don't realize how much different it is driving a manual from this time period!!! The throws are very long and narrow. Not easy to quickly engage to the following gear. Very easy to lock yourself out....
There is always at least one person who makes a pop off about shifting. I agree with you. I’ve driven modern, hydraulic clutch, manual transmissions since 1995, but every time I visit my dad and drive his 1970 Chevelle SS, 454 w/Muncie 4 speed, I’m humbled.
For American cars yeah but not for European cars and not talking about British cars.

darn tootin most people on here don't even know why its called a top loader hint the clusters go in through the top what a bunch of maroons!!! probably call em stickshifts too!! they all got sticks stupid and thank you Christian soldier kids these days don't have the leg strength to push the clutch pedal down without help from a friend hang loose boys and girls!!
I will for ever remember when a good friend of mine from work were talking cars and he asked me to stop by his house to show me his 69 Camaro with a big block Chevy in it with 12:1 compression. Let me tell you that he was around 63 years old and I was around 34,ok. He then said l,lets go for a ride and we did. We got to a nice straight away and he punched it all I remember was holding on for dear life thinking this old man is going to get us kill,😁😁😁. This video reminded of that, thanks.
Glad someone is still driving it the way it was meant to be driven. These car's were never built to be babied like they are today. Get em out on a piece of road like this and open em up a little bit....it's actually better for the engine to run it a little bit once in awhile vs driving it like a little old lady going to church.
I love the 68 mustang the most but this fastback and the old so called "crazy man " I'm enjoying. I've owned 30 plus cars in my life and been known as a crazy man myself 😎😎 this guy enjoys life. Live a full life dude. P.S. I had a 55 Chevy 2 door sedan with a 327 solid lifters and corvette heads which I installed when I rebuilt it. I love that mill
Gorgeous car , legendary shape , it will stand time and changes as one of the greatest design ever to exist , 66 , 67 and 68’s Stangs are extremely sexy !!
You haven't been for a ride in a muscle car on the street, until you get a ride in one by a professional dirt track driver. Sideways each gear, maxing out the rpms, just before blowing the engine with every gear. It happened to me and I thought I was gonna die. Some people can drive and others well, they can REALLY drive. He never let off the accelerator, flat out power shifting a 68 Camaro with a 425 horse, 396 that was bored out and built well. My friend who owned the car was in the passenger seat and I was in the back.He said he had no idea his car could do that. The stock car driver just said something like,"Eh, it's not bad,not too bad". My buddies jaw was just hanging down to his knees.
I got a 67 coupe, 306, 4 speed top loader, 4.1'1's. Runs 7.30's in the 1/8 on 93 octane pump gas, naturally aspirated, no power adders. No roll cage. Just built a 91 LX with a 331 that runs E-85 naturally aspirated, goes 6.60's in the 1/8 off used Craigslist junk parts. E-85 is cheaper than 87 octane. I wish Pappy here would quit short shifting that small block Ford, and take it upstairs in the power band. It ain't a Chevy small block!
Hay guys you are only as old as you feel and think you are. I'm 80yrs young and sport around in my hot rod. It's a Ford Mustang Shelby Cobra convertible GT 500. Some times you have to work for a while and save money to get what you want.
He built it, he can beat on it as hard as he wants. It's his car.
that's right. I hate when people baby high horsepower sports cars..
Connar Comstock That's what they were meant for.
Keep this in mind, cars are replaceable, not humans.
Exactly! Mustangs were built to run! My grandpa used to have a regular Mustang around the same year, and we went and drifted it on gravel backroads!
Connar Comstock thats what i told her
True car guy. You can tell by the way they talk and drive
God damn that thing sounds wicked.
Oh god that sounds good
braveraxeblade I know
Dam that sounds good!! No four banger ever will sound like that...
Crazy Old Man knows how to have fun, \m/.
I want to be this cool when I'm old. I've always told people I'd be a "sensei" with a long white ponytail on a rocket. Hopefully I'm still able to ride when I'm in my 70's lol.
I'm living that dream. The ponytail isn't completely white, but it's getting there...
gorflunk Rock on! What's the secret ;)? lol
LifeRocket7

Old cars were made to be driven hard
crazy old guy is cool

chanel your hatred/jealousy into something positive...... put your mind to it and maybe someday you could have the same car too ?
Not hatred or jealousy at all, just a statement of reality as I see it
in response to the original poster saying "Crazy old guy is cool".....
Steven P. Sparks you dissed the old guy in your previous comment.....hey,everyone likes to look cool, nothin wrong in that
Well had the 67 Fastback nearly a year now...and still watch this.. 302 mild cam. 4spd top loader. 4.11 rears. want to swap the rear gears out for 3;50s and get the motor stroked to 347..
Instead of putting money into a 302 why wouldn’t you just build a 351w, if I want to build a sbc I’m not gonna start with the smallest v8 sbc 😂
@themannis479 Jesus! This was 10 years ago..had 10 cars since! Current ride Shelby GT500!
How could anyone ever get bored of that.
he was the freakin' judge's SON
I love it!!! That's exactly what I'm going to be doing when I'm an old man!!!... oh wait... I'm already an old man, and already doing that!!!
People don't realize how much different it is driving a manual from this time period!!! The throws are very long and narrow. Not easy to quickly engage to the following gear. Very easy to lock yourself out....
Glass-Man-252 i grew up driving these "time period " cars and trucks. Dude has no clue how to shift. Just a shame , I bet the trans shop lives him.

Matthew Fogarty Not entirely true... I'm 15 and restoring a 68 289 with 3 speed toploader.
Sounds Great and gotta Love not being afraid to FLOG it! Get that shifter linkage sorted out though...sheesh..
Finally someone who can drive a car and not hide it. Also looks great. Better than other mustang drivers who try turning a mustang into a ricer
I agree with conner. If he breaks it,I bet he knows how to fix it.and best of all,its His.
Best sounding American V8.
i love this guy. he has the best videos for a 67 imo
Burt Reynolds said one time: do you know what the greatest thing about a car is? It doesn't know how old you are.......how true sir!!
This video will be an all-time classic for classic muscle fans.
I searched this video forever and watch it a humdred times and it is my favorite,! don t know why , but the sound is amazing
" BLACK BEAUTY " What an awesome 50 year old automobile. Sexy as hell, sounding beastly and soo fun to drive. Thanks for sharing.
Ive been looking for this video for along time and i finally found it

You won't be calling him old for long Jr., It goes fast.
That Stang looks and sounds freakin great.
Closest I'll ever get to a 67 fastback, thanks for the ride!!
Later on that week he suffered a heart attack. RIP grandpa.
A nice, rompin` stompin` V8, the way God intended it ! Keep up the good work, Sir ! :-)
Your only as old as you feel, drive the wheels of it.....it's your car !
Gorgeous car , legendary shape , it will stand time and changes as one of the greatest design ever to exist , 66 , 67 and 68’s Stangs are extremely sexy !!
Just about anything from 66 to 68 is amazing!!!
Have watched this a dozen times..Luv it. Selling the 57 Stepside and getting me a 67 Fastback..Hunting now..Will drop a 347 Stroker in it...
Better idea: Find one of the rare 429 Boss. Best motor ever in a Mustang
He sounds like Glen Frey. I kept waiting to hear an awesome Eagles song. But I got some beautiful pipe music and it sounded sweet!
The story about "the freaking judges son" makes me laugh every time.
That was really cool! The way the guy talks reminds me of Dennis Hopper from the movie King of the Mountain!
Hey old timer I enjoyed your video.
Nice car, lots of power. Respect for sharing.
Sounds like you missed a shift. Great car man. Enjoy it while you can.
My first car was an automatic 1967 Mustang Convertible with the 289 cubic inch V-8. It's one of a few that I owned which I would like to have back.
Riverside !! I’ve ripped my old mustang on these exact roads !! Crazy how I just randomly clicked this.
Nun beats them Stangs
FRONT BALL JOINTS LOOK LIKE THEY ARE GIVING OUT. BUT I LOVE THE STANG! IF IT HOOKS UP LOOK OUT.
car sounds so nice , i think he nicked 1-2 blocker ring
when i be old i want a shelby cobra :)
007polosa keep dreaming
Amazing 8 track sound.
If you've never driven ,owned, or worked on an American muscle car...your opinion is irrelevant
Drive it like you stole it! Beautiful car man they really don't make them like they used too
Way to go!....a bear hug to you my friend.

Sounds good. I have a '66 mustang fastback, it has a 289 but it's an automatic.
That thing is cooler than Elenore!
This is excellent in every way.
That's what these cars were made for baby!
And that is how a classic should be driven
Sounds great, looks greatI Might be even more fun with some power shifting.
Yep, just like mine! Floor gets so hot carpet disappears.
Hes cool, never gets old
Now all you EBay bidders can bid with confidence, knowing this pristine Mustang has been adult driven and never once over revved.
HaHa good one!
It's crazy this car sounds soooo amazing but new cars will smoke it any day. I wish they could get that old sound with new power.
Perfectly Sane old man. 👍🏻
Victoria ! HAHA Plenty of memories there...
My favorite mustang with a top, straight out of Bullit
it almost sounds like a hellcat without the supercharger
Had to have dropped it into 1st going 50mph😅 sweet video love it
10 years later I wonder if he still has this thing
Man that thing sounds amazing!!
You're never too old to let it all hang out.
Whoa, nice Mustang, wish it was mine.... 😊
I got a 67 coupe, 306, 4 speed top loader, 4.1'1's. Runs 7.30's in the 1/8 on 93 octane pump gas, naturally aspirated, no power adders. No roll cage. Watch out!
We gotta badass over here!
that's how you drive it I sure would be doing the exact same thing
how big of an engine engine ya got in the car the '67 fastback mustang by chance 😞😦😯..??
This is what I love to see. I hate when people build awesome cars and only take em out for shows.
For today, this man is my hero LOL
Crazy old guy still knows how to RAGE OUTTA CONTROL though dont he! Lol!
There's nothing crazy about this; that's what it's made for!🤟😁
THAT'S cali! Redlands area I'm sure

That's what a Rustang is for....OLD GUYS RULE...
Granny shifting but badass old man young at heart
Holy shit...plenty of revs on the downshift.
Nice sounding mill.
Pretty cool for an old guy, but it looks like there are many trees to choose from. Be careful
He surely was a badass car guy in his day
