My overlander is a 2019 4Runner TRD Premium (my second 5th gen). I mostly sleep in it, on a DeepSleep Overland air mattress with memory foam, also is made to contour the 4Runner and goes in a easy to store bag, when not in use.. I stopped using rooftop tents and like having my roof for storage, especially since I did a rear seat delete to make my interior my living space for eat, sleep and store my personal stuffs . She is geared for long range expeditions, if I want. Long range auxiliary fuel tank, a great battery setup with more power than I ever need and my favorite mod the Magnuson Supercharger! I have driven her across Canada twice, from Vancouver to Halifax, never once using a hotel! I love this life! As someone who has been doing this a long time, as a second time 4Runner owner, I can say IMHO you have a well thought out car camping setup.☺️ Excellent quality rig shots too!

Us Toyota folks love our Wildpeaks! I've got the same tire/suspension setup on my TRD Pro. Highly recommend the Wescott Designs to any TRD Pro owners checking comments. Love your rig, man. You've given me some great ideas for camping add ons. Doing some lighting upgrades next. Camp on, and leave no trace.
@@inttruders a tad bit more..."squishier" is the best word I can find for it. Tires will rub a little in tight turn situations like the occasional reverse into or out of a parking spot. But otherwise, happy with the setup

damn, that's a good looking 4Runner. I'm torn between snagging a 2024 or waiting for a 2025. I know the arguments for both sides but I see what you have and it makes me lean heavily to the 2024 (aware you have a 2018 but I prefer new so I can break in properly)
Hey Edward a minor suggestion for your 4runner. I had a 2014 toyota Tacoma 4x4 couple years ago and had to trade it for a 2018 jeep cherokee 4x4 to get my mom.back amd forth to her doctors appointments and this past October after my mother also passed I traded the cherokee for an 07 4runner and I'm going to replace the rims with the same rims that I had on my Tacoma 4x4! Provided they make them in a 17 inch rim. The rims I had on my Tacoma 4x4 were XD Bronze Granades. The only part of these rims that are black are the fo deadlocks! But I've seen the toyota TRD pro bronze rims and they're pretty nice as well. I think the bronze rims break up all the black in the truck and make them a little more individualized.
do yourself a favor and ditch the predator tube steps. They will get in the way when off roading. Had them on my Taco bent 3 of them and broke one off lol
Does your solar system provide enough power for your fridge? It looked like your fridge had a thermal blanket/sleeve. If so, what brand was that fridge and blanket? Can you sleep/camp inside your enclosure, comfortably? Do you have chairs or cots that you sleep on within the enclosure? If so, what brand? I didn’t notice if you could use the enclosure for showering? Do you have a shower system? What do you keep on the roof of your 4 Runner? Really nice rig. Thanks!
Altough it seems and looks awesome, but just work done to maintain, wash clean and prep all this gear, takes so much time, so I prefer only essentials. Cool vid nonetheless

Love the V6 and I’m afraid the new 4Runner may have the 4banger in it like they just put in the new Tacomas 👎🏻 I’m looking at the Nisan Frontier Pro4X it’s getting great reviews and here in Canada they are $50,000 more doable lol great channel and stay safe ✌🏻🇨🇦

I swear by Toyotas...4Runners are Reliable, easy to fix, cheap to fix, practical, and will take you on adventures. Cant go wrong with it..
but the car is also expensive, powertrain is super old, plastic is everywhere and no techs. No reason to buy it new after 2020.
