    Clear, not sale focused but offering good resources, seems honest and genuine. I like it. Long game required to get through the chicken trimming scene, but it’s worth the wait. Thank you for creating this.

    Louise these chicken nuggets and the buffalo sauce were heaven on a plate, un-chicken-licking-believable. In fact like every recipe I have ever tried of yours, including your Colcannon Soup which I made especially for my sadly dying uncle because he wasn't able to eat any of the horrible hospital food. Fed to him from my hot food flask, it was pretty much the only thing he actually enjoyed and finished and even had more the next day, so I will be forever grateful to you for that recipe. You are a true foodie goddess, you're educational, fun and inspiring to watch, and don't even get me started on your adorable and priceless reactions at the end when you taste the food! Thank you for being amazing, both you and Geoff. What a team. x

    OMG! These are so easy to make & like you said they taste just like my favorite restaurant chicken nuggets! I did try the sauce, but I didn't quite nail it. I had to use a different hot sauce than you had but it was still pretty good! Sharing my experience with my instant pot aired-frier, I did pre-heat my instant pot air frier on broil for 10 minutes then canceled, then press the air frier button sprayed the basket with olive oil, place the 10 chicken nuggets in a single layer but had to put all the nuggets in all once because the way the lid lifts up on the instant pot's air frier & then sprayed the olive oil onto the nuggets then, closed the lid, made sure the temp was at 365 degrees, & set the timer to 10 minutes & after 5 minutes I turned & sprayed & they were done after 10 minutes. The first 10 nuggets were not as brown as I had hoped but I repeated this process 2 more times with 10 nuggets each time & then the next 10 was browner & then my last batch of 10 nuggets was a about the right brownness that I wanted. Although, ALL 30 nuggets were fully cooked & very tender no matter how brown I would have liked them to have been, but the brownness was more my preference.
    Just thought I would share that! Oh, this was my first ever trying out the air-frier of any kind because I just got my new 8 qt instant pot dual pressure cooker / air-frier. Looking forwarded to more of your amazing recipes to try out! You're an amazing, awesome, wonderful cook!

    Louise, love your recipes and explanations. Can you tell me why you kept closing the lid between adding the nuggets? What would the negative effect be if you kept the lid opened until you have a single layer of nuggets? Not questioning your method, just trying to get a better understanding. ❤️

    • @TheSaltedPepper
      @TheSaltedPepper  4 роки тому

      The longer the lid is open, the more heat escapes. I think part of getting the breading set and crispy is keeping the basket as hot as possible. Will it ruin anything if you kept it open? Probably not. I'm just funny that way! LOL

    Hi Louise, Wow do those look good. I did make the blueberry sauce in my Ninja Foodie hot and cold blender. I had told you I was going to use fresh blueberries, but my store was out of blueberries, so I had to use frozen. I let them thaw completely and like when you were making the sauce, mine wouldn't boil either. So I cancelled the program and used the smooth soup setting. The blueberries started boiling almost immediately. I let them cook for about 10 minutes, then cancelled and used the smoothie setting. It turned out perfect. I used it for a dipping sauce for chicken tenders that I made in the air fryer. The blueberry BBQ sauce is delicious. My husband really liked it too. Thank You for the recipe.

    Louise, looks fantastic,… really but a couple of questions. Not being a great fan of breaded, would the batter work on it’s own? Also, my wife not a great fan of hot sauce but got a great liking on Honey & Garlic wings when visiting Ontario, what would your variation/ take be on that? Thanks. Great vid.

    • @TheSaltedPepper
      @TheSaltedPepper  4 роки тому

      I started off this recipe with just a batter because that is how I wanted it and it can be done, but it is a pain to do. You basically have to freeze them after battering and then get the Foodi really hot and let them cook on the one side. It works, but just wasn't worth the trouble in my opinion. These really don't taste breaded. It would be hard for me to suggest a honey & garlic wing sauce recipe without knowing what the one your wife had tasted like.

      @herronleslie 4 роки тому

Carrots on the next rack and then rice in the bottom of the XL. A whole meal at one time. These are the kind recipes I would like to learn how to do. How long do you cook frozen nuggets in the nuggets in the ninja foote

    • @TheSaltedPepper
      @TheSaltedPepper  3 роки тому

      It depends on if they are fully cooked or not. I have frozen these before cooking and they take the same amount of time from frozen, maybe 1-2 minutes longer, but not much.
