Thank you spectacular for visiting and allowing me to share my love of coins with you and your audience.
Thank you for the opportunity for this connection to take place. I want to build the hobby and so I thank you for helping me do that through you.
This video is what I think is his best one yet, thanks for sharing - both of you.
GEG
Great Shop Guy. In related news, you may be selling me that pocket watch from the video. I am watching it on ebay now.
Thanks Guy, riveting, informative video. From "a fella Na Yawka"...
Guy Ventre thank you for sharing your shop and the great information. I’m following you on eBay. Thanks Spegtacular.
This is my father and I have been so blessed to learn from him- enjoy watching, i have had many interesting chats with my dad over the years.
He seems a top notch guy (no pun intended). Very knowledgeable man!
Awesome! It’s good to have a knowledgeable father in your life.
Bryan...Awesome pop you have there ! *~;)
Looks like a awesome shop and a cool guy, love that wood grip revolver he’s rockin as well.
Wish I lived in your state. Your Dad is a very honest guy. Loved this video
With a revolver on his hip! Gotta love this guy...
I don’t blame him. He’s an American! God bless us all.
Keeping his Assets safe with Lead. #1 Priority!
My pawn shop owner also carry's a weapon. Wouldn't you mostly alone and selling money.
Almost ALL pawn and many coin shops here in Florida are armed-and need to be!!!
Too many crackheads out there and it's better to be safe than sorry.
It's not a Coin Shop, it's a Museum and he's the Curator..Invaluable Information..THANKS !!
You're welcome. I'm glad you found it educational.
Nicely said!
This guy understands the difference between real money and fiat.
Yes! He is “aware” it’s nice to see.
Great video. That guy is a great ambassador to the hobby.
He does know his trade for sure.
It is a hobby? I thought it was a investment.
@@Spegtacular #we we're good 😊
He has never worked a day in his life. It’s special when you run into someone with that much passion for what they do.
Wish I could say that! I work!!!! Lol
The Coin Guy is awesome.
What a perfect name too.
@@Spegtacular Yes my name is perfect, Thank you for noticing. Lol.
Never been to this shop but wish I had.
SpegTacular i
You can tell this guy really loves and is very proud of his shop! Seems like an honest and nice guy too.
This guy is awsome love it I grew up around and collecting coin and precious metal had a guy like this teach me alot Im very grateful for him and coin guy thank you both for putting these together
Thank you for your support, Nick!
That is the most deserving thumbs up I've ever given. I'm 1.5 hours away. I WILL make a trip to visit Mr. Guy
Wow! Thank you. What an honor to earn your best thumb.
Paradise Found that’s cool - I really hope you go there.
ONE OF THE VERY FEW people who can't wait to get to work. Can't blame him. He definitely knows his stuff and he shares what he knows.
I know that I’m not too excited about going to work ;)
I'd hang out in this guy's shop all day if I lived close.
You better be buying too! ;)
I agree though. It's a nice place to hang out.
me too.
The coin shop interviews have been really helpful, thanks to you and them!
there a few on u tube now glad you enjoyed them
You blew me away when I saw the shop on my screen. We are neighbors!!! Last thing I expected to see is the Spring Hill coin shop on my daily UA-cam session. Very cool.
There’s a lot of nice coin collectors right here in FL! We’re in good company :)
I was surprised as well my mom lives in brooksville!!!!!!
That's just cool that Guy is so happy to share his knowledge with others. The next time I'm in area, I'll definitely look his shop up. With coin shops, it's slim pickings in my neck of the woods.
Thanks for sharing, sir!
It’s a shame that so many areas have so few shops.
I live about 9 miles from the shop and never knew it was there and I love coins I will be buying from wise coin guy from now on. Very smart collector.
Awesome! Isn’t that amazing? Now you’ve found this place through me and that to ME is priceless. I hope you enjoy your new little treasure location. Take care!
Hes has awsome prices your lucky to have him near you man !!!!!
I love when you go to the coin store. We all learn more about coins. Thanks.👍👍👏👏
Glad you enjoy man. I hope you got some good info from it.
I could listen to the coin guy all day. Such an interesting gentleman. I’m 28 and have been collecting coins since I was a kid also.
Thank you Guy, for allowing your shop to be on youtube. I enjoyed it a lot. craig
It’s tough for many owners to allow this type of interaction to occur. I’m proof from several videos I’ve done now that this type of advertisement is GREAT for your business! Hear that local shops! Let people help you!
This was one of the most enjoyable Numismatic videos I have ever watched on UA-cam! Thank You Sir!
Wow! Thank you for the kind words. I really appreciate that.
The critical "takeaway" from this video is how critically important it is to introduce young people to numismatics.
Young people will be young people there’s too many other stimuli going through their minds at that age. Introduce them, absolutely. They’ll likely not get into it until they’re older though... at least a large majority.
You couldn't have picked a better shop for a video, or a better owner!! Good video, you were well prepared and it went smooth!
I won't give YOU (and by "you" I mean all of my viewers) just any old shop. I want to give you the ones that actually want customers.
Fun video, Thanks for making it. Thanks Coin Guy for sharing your passions with others.
Thanks for checking it out Mike.
I loved watching this...all of the information was so hands on interesting and seeing someone loves what hes doin just made me smile!
I’m happy you got some enjoyment from it. I enjoyed making it.
I wish we had a coin shop like this in my area. I would be there every day! Thank you for the great video!
You’re very welcome! I’m glad to show you what I consider a good shop.
Thanks for the tour Spectacular
I live in the UK and my hobby is metal detecting and I love coins. I still own every coin and artefact I have found over the last 40 years. The knowledge that I have gained through finding coins of every era from the UK is invaluable to me. I wouldn't go as far as to say I am an expert but I no enough to identify most coins issued for circulation. 😊.
I don’t know that such a thing as a coin expert can truly exist. It’s great to keep learning and get wise about the history within the coins isn’t it?
I wish every man behind the counter at the coin shop was as fair as Coin Guy. Very cool experience and share.
Me too Jim. Usually when I go into a shop I'm completed ignored and I'd imagine it's because I'm younger than their typical clients.
I love this Guy! Very knowledgeable with a real love of coins. Awesome!
I’m happy that you enjoyed the show Avery.
What a fountain of information. I love your coin shop interview videos!
Thank you so much! I agree. There's a lot of information here.
Videos like this makes my day. His love and passion show throughout the video. He knows his stuff for sure. I for sure could watch more of him. Thank you so much Spegtacular. Awesome video, one of my favorites.
Thank you SS! Maybe you’ll be able to watch more of him sooner than you think ;)
That was awesome! History is the most essential element in collecting as a hobby in any realm of collecting!
Wow! What you said was profound my friend.
Coin Guy is awesome. What a great pick for an interview.
Thank you so much! Good info for you guys/gals
Excellent presentation! Thank you for this great tour of the coin shop!
My brother and I inherited my father's coin collection when he passed away in 2003. He started collecting coins as a child after he was given a silver dollar by Martha Raye and Dick Powell when they were in Milwaukee promoting a movie in the 1930's. They purchased a newspaper from him and both gave him a silver dollar. Great video, thank you for posting it.
So now how much has that collection grown since you inherited it?
Just subscribed. I’m an older man who recently started stacking. I love this hobby. My main stack is ASE’s and ‘junk’ US 90%.
I also have some gold. I’m encouraged by the recent upturn in PM. Thank you so much for this video. Keep them coming.
Welcome aboard! I appreciate that you're here with a lot of people who love the same thing that you love. I'm sure a lot of people are going to start trickling in if the precious metals prices continue to move.
Thanks again.
absolutely amazing coin shop! i would never leave lol great video SpegTacular!
Thank you so much :)
This guy is as honest as it comes! If I'm ever in the area I will bring my coins to him,and no one else! Years ago I know I got ripped off! Thanks spectacular again for making this great video!
Hey Cynthia! Thanks for checking out the video. Make sure you’re shopping around for buyers and sellers. I want you to get the best deal.
Very knowledgeable and a joy to listen to this expert in coins period.
I’m glad you found it enjoyable!
I love interviews of coin dealers. Guy is amazing.
I'm glad you found something you enjoyed on the "Tube"
Great information from this guy! Great job with this interview
Thank you Joe.
What a great guy the coin guy is ! He is very knowledgeable which is the kind of guy I would want to buy from ! Thanks for taking us along !
Thanks for coming along! You know I appreciate you watching and commenting.
Very impressed with your channel, Great interview with coin shop
Archie Bunker, lives on, good information.
Oh Edith.. stifle would ya?
I was looking for someone to say that. He reminded me of him at the very beginning of the video. Archie was the man.
Thanks for a very entertaining and enlightening video .....even for a 55yr. old kid like me, coin collecting is never boring. *~:)
Right on! There's so much to learn from collecting coins. It can really open a rabbit hole or even a wormhole ;)
Always love the coin show interviews, thanks for sharing! KEEP STACKING...
Thanks Phillip! I hope to keep them coming.
I am moving to Lakeland in a couple years...I am going to look you up and bring you my collection.
Great interview! Seems like a really cool guy.
Thank you! I wish you could see him for yourself.
Interesting and knowledgeable man. I would love to talk to him if I ever visited Spring Hill, Fl.
I think he’ll be there for when you get ready!
Fascinating guy. Wish we had fellas like him over here in the UK
The reason i like your channel is when you do interviews with coins shops, very interesting and learn a lot!!! Something other bullion & coins channels do not possess
I have been into coin collecting since I was about 8. I am 58.
John, you could be a great help to people that watch my videos and leave comments. You’ve seen a lot of changes in your time and could really help those who are seeking help.
Hello my name is John also & I'm also 58 (Dec. 6th. 1960) I enjoy collecting also, but try to stay close to spot price type coins & such. I know just enough to not get into to much trouble I hope. :)
John....Me too and I am 55.5 years old ! *~;)
Dimes are what you want for barterability....... your common man won't be able to afford the bars. The bars will be used as house payments or for large purchases like land, cars, etc....... I am buying a lot of dimes and halves currently to round out my personal stuff. Great vid Speg!
Thank you so much. He said that when there’s any chaos in the economy, people buy dimes. Other shops even go to him for dimes.
@Blake I have eagles, bar's, morgans, etc..... I like halves/dimes due to their fraction of an oz. I buy the constitutional because it's recognizable by even non stackers. I wouldn't fill your house with it or anything, but if we ever do have a currency crisis, dimes will be good for everyday staples like bread, vegetables, etc. I look at each silver half I have as 2 chicken breasts stacked up. approx $6 dollars. The value of these halves keeps up with inflation over the long run. 1st rule is to try and get a month worth of expenses in hard currency and cash. Then 6 months, then a year. Now you are financially secure and can start to gamble in paper.
That was a fantastic video! Thanks so much for taking us along!
Glad to have you along Jason!
Great Video! Thanks to Guy for his hospitality and knowledge! Wish he had his shop up in Washington!!!
Thanks RC Christo!
Wow really amazing Coins Shop video ever 10out10!!! :D
Thank you! Glad you gave it max rating!
@@Spegtacular Np 😄👌
That was the most wonderful laid back and relaxed interview I have ever watched. My neighborhood coin guy in Slate Hill, NY recently closed up business after 25 years. Said there was too much govt regulation now. So how do I sell my Silver bullion oz coins when Silver hits $75 next year? Thanks for a great 1/2 hour. ciao.
Glad you enjoyed it! Luckily for you, there’s plenty of places on the Internet to sell your stack if you are in need of selling.
Very nice video, like that u get out and talk about precious metals with people, not just stackers info.
Thank you. Spectacular just came across one of your' video tonight and subbed. I really love you interviewing the coin shops owners especially the coin guy.
Thanks for your support, Desney!
I was curious about his security system. Was wondering whether or not he has one & then I noticed he's got a good one at 2:00 in your video on his right hip
I buy my bullion online but I always get my collector coins and currency at my local coin shop. Anyway, I loved this vid.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it.
What a nice and knowledgable man ! Wish I lived closer so I could browse and find odd coins!
This was fantastic. I will be showing this video to my kids tomorrow. Thanks SpegTacular and thank you Guy.
Awesome! Let me know if the kids enjoy it! Future collectors maybe?
I always wanted a piece of 8.
Me too. They just scare me with how often they’re counterfeited and I’m no expert on them.
Great guy. These days there are heaps of fake coins. More over young generation is more busy spending than saving or investing.....
A lot of people live in the now. I get it..but it's smart to save some too.
I'm 14 years old and have a collection valued at over $500 cad maybe $600 now. In mainly silver.
You’re doing well! Keep it up.
@@jamesedwards7442 That's great! Keep it up and in 50 years somebody may be doing an interview with you as another "coin man".
Great video. Love Guy's passion and knowledge.
I’m glad you found enjoyment with the video!
Loved this video, The Coin Guy is amazing, so glad he teaches the children info they may need in the fiture. What a wonderful colllection he has, thanks for taking us there. I just subscribe d
Welcome aboard! I hope you stick around for more like this and many other types of videos I offer in the future.
Awesome shop! Did you see the size of his calculator?!?
That’s no calculator.. it’s a space station
For big maths
God I love how a person can run a business that he loves...and can wear a side-arm to defend that business.
I live i the socialist nirvana of New Zealand....I am so sick of it--attitude was-- I want to move to the USA......
Come on! We’re right here :)
We would love to have you.
You're welcome anytime my brother!! Like they said, we'd love to have you :)
Awesome video man. Thanks for sharing and I hope you do more of these. Also thank you Guy for all the information and your knowledge is amazing.
You're welcome! Guy is watching and he knows you all appreciate his knowledge.
I love this guy! Definitely coming to see him next time I'm in Florida.
Awesome! Let me know how it goes.
I’m baffled you don’t know who Elliot ness is
I do now. It helped me to learn.
Al Capone gets most of the attention where the good guys get far less.
Kevin Costner
I know nothing about American coins but love watching your Coin Guy videos, great stuff!
Wonderful person!! Thank you for this interview.
You’re very welcome!
Thank you sir ! Very cool to learn so much more about what I'm doing with gold and silver .
I’m glad it was helpful Scott!
Can't help but to echo the comments above: great work! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks a lot!
This is education at its best.
Our youth would do well to learn from Coin Guy.👍👍
Thanks Spegtacular- I’ve already added Coin guy to my list of honest sellers on eBay! And thank you for doing that interview- it was so interesting 👍👍
You're welcome! Glad you enjoyed.
What a great interview! I wish he was around me. I’m old, but a new coin collector and know nothing. It’s a lot of fun and very interesting!
It’s as easy or as deep as you’d like the hobby to be. That’s what’s so great about it!
Thank you for your comment.
Loved this video. And the doorbell at the beginning makes my dog bark too! thanks Speg!
I do it all for you Kevin!
That was so cool that he picked up that coin and said that it was a fack so fast that it wold make your head spin. Then proved it with his testing machine. Wow if I knew what info was in his pinky I would be ritch. Thanks for your time and letting us see a master at work.
You’re welcome. I’m happy that you got to see it just like it happened!
Guy knows his stuff with coins and valuable metals.
Good video and information.
Thanks. Nice Guy and fun to watch.
Thanks for checking it out John!
You really have great skill as an interviewer. It is obvious that you make the effort to plan your questions ahead of time. This puts the shop owner at ease and makes for a really great video to watch.
Wow thank you so much for the kind words. I try my best to keep it entertaining and educational for you all. Sometimes it's a hit and sometimes it's a miss...but I always try.
This and part 2 were really great. Awesome! Thanks!
Thanks for watching, Bob!
Great video Speg and thank you Guy for imparting your wisdom on us...we really appreciate it!!!
Thank you TB! Glad you enjoyed.
Thank you for sharing your passion❤ I'm like this with my stamp collection (40+ years collecting miniature pieces of art🙂) I only collect used ones because it's cool thinking where have they been, etc? I'd never get my son out of this store, he collects coins.
Awesome to have the kids involved too!
Amazing video! Please put this guy in a few more videos! He’s an amazing character with a nice heart.
Thank you! I’ll do my best :)
Thanks for that little slice of education from a Real Deal pro in the Numismatic Community with a lot of Honesty and Integrity 🤗💯🇺🇸
You’re very welcome Lady. Thank you for taking the time to watch it.
I was fun watching video glad there still some trust worthy collectors that share info like coin guy
I’m glad you enjoyed Jose.
Coin Guy is just that...knowledgeable and easy to talk with. He is good and Nathan too. Definitely could spend some time in there
I agree... and I have!
This is an absolutely wonderful video as well as a great person. Thanks for making this.
You’re very welcome!
I just watched your video for the first time and I loved it my name is danny from vidalia wished we had someone like you around here will be watching all your videos for sure im so glad i came across your videos thank you!!!
Thanks Danny. Keep watching ok? I appreciate you checking these out.
I just want to say this video concept was absolutely genius! It's one thing to watch self-proclaimed coin guy on UA-cam tell me what to look for but this was so interesting to me because it opened up so many doors. To know that there's a place where I could go and potentially get just any knowledge to add to my tool belt is awesome. And not to mention I just so happen to have a pretty good grade 1925 peace and so what are the odds LOL good to know that it's actually worth something! This gained you a new sub !
Well I'm glad you found it useful. I try to change it up often so that people will find something they enjoy. I'm glad the expert was something you liked watching :) stay tuned for more.
Welcome aboard :) Happy to have your sub.
To be honest, I checked this out to see a interview with one of the cranky old guys of my youth-instead here is this wonderful man! Keep up the good work Coin Guy-you are teaching people more than the history of coins- your teaching people how to be kind and honest.
There's sooooooo many cranky coin shop owners that we tend to think that's what we'll be dealing with whenever we enter a store. Luckily, this time it isn't the case!
Coin Guy, thank you for a lot of information in a short interview, you are truly a coin Historian
I’m glad you enjoyed the show.
Excellent interview ! Thanks Mr. Guy🙏🏻
Thanks for checking it out Bonnie!
Most excellent Mr. Guy! Thank you!
I’m glad you enjoyed it.
Nice guy and a very professional coins collector I love to visit that place thanks for a good information
You’re welcome! Glad you enjoyed!
