In his debut MWTM series, Boi-1da reveals how he and Jahaan Sweet produced ‘Mafia’ by Travis Scott! Throughout these three parts, the Grammy Award winner shares how they created the music using drum samples and virtual instruments. Using FL Studio software, he shows the various parts of the record, discusses how they were made, and demonstrates his beat-making approach. Boi-1da talks about his favorite tools to use and methodology for sample discovery and selection. He explains why he deliberately keeps his sample library scattered in order to encourage the implementation of new sounds and discourage reliance on a formula. Furthermore, Boi-1da speaks of his influences and participation in other projects with artists Drake and Rihanna!

and then production of the instrumental and VOCAL PRODUCTION. seeing what someone did to the mix of a song is not going to give you the answer i believe you are seeking

The loop maker deserves the majority of the recognition for the production here. There’s way too many of these “production breakdown” videos showing a producer throwing a simple 8 bar drum pattern over a loop which doesn’t give us viewers any insight into how this track really came together
That's a real thing! This is sad because nowadays the loopmakers market is growing fast and there is a lot of sound of 1 billion views using loopmakers work without giving due credit, but as time goes by things change :D

Jahaan did another video that shows the entire beat in Logic Pro. That piano was insane and needs its own masterclass.
Yes, he passed all the tracks to Logic, but the arrangement is from FL Studio 11 and it is with the sounds that he had there.
In any case, FL Studio 11 has a different sound than the more modern versions and that version works for him because he knows how to use everything by heart. 🤔
