- In this episode, Siskel and Ebert talk about the best movies of 1982 with films that include: Atlantic City, Body Heat, Bye Bye Brazil, Chariots of Fire, Gates of Heaven, Heartland, Melvin and Howard, Mon Oncle D'Amerique, My Dinner with Andre, Napolean, Prince of the City, Ragtime, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Reds, Tess, The French Lieutenant's Woman and Thief.
Body Heat has some of the greatest dialogue ever written for screen.
A total rip off of Double Indemnity and regardless, it's still brilliant.
Raiders of the Lost Ark. Greatest movie of any year!
1980 Heavens Gate.
1981 Gates of Heaven 🤔🤪
1981: Heaven's Gate (the much later fully restored version), Reds, Ragtime, Coup de Torchon (Clean Slate), Mommie Dearest, Chariots of Fire, Eye of the Needle (Donald Sutherland and Kate Nelligan give particularly superb performances!), Prince of the City, Pixote, Ticket to Heaven, Body Heat, Rollover, On Golden Pond, Atlantic City, Fort Apache the Bronx... (Mon Oncle d'Amerique and Tess were on my top ten for 1980).
Hated Raiders of the Lost Ark - juvenile, sexist, obnoxious! Not fun at all!
That wasn't a poisonous snake in the cockpit with Indiana Jones.
I always agreed with gene more than roger.
Body Heat: sexiest R rated film that will ever be released
I saw Prince of The City recently and imo, it's better than Serpico.
Can't wait to see Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, _42 years_ after Raiders came out.
It sucked!!!
Hey Roger: the snake wasn't poisonous
You got the year wrong.
Typo. Thank you!
@@ThatOldTV I can't watch enough of these videos
They said Raiders was most entertaining movie of the year. Wouldn't that mean best? Apparently not.
Chariots of Fire was a boring snooze fest.
