Great video. Thanks for the help. Carb ordered. I experienced all the same problems with a saw that has been used 3 or 4 times.

This video just helped me. I have a Troy bilt weed eater that’s been a badass for years and then all of a sudden started running like shit. The primer bulb was sucking air and it would start but bog down. I took it apart and cleaned it with no change. I was leery about the carbs on Amazon but after watching this video I went straight to Amazon and bought one. Just installed it and it’s good as new. Thanks. Now hurry up and get the video of you cutting that tree down uploaded. Lol

Hey good video. I have a 240 that I bought new about 10 12 years ago or so. Ran great for awhile, had problems with it and set it aside for the last 8 yrs or so. Since most of my saws are larger stihl 064 and 880, husky 372, 281 I didn't need it much. I guess I'll get around to working on it now after a sthil 056, husky 61, 455, 365 and some sthil 026, 026, 034 lol

@Man-Time I've been lurking for awhile, been building reference videos for each saw. I'm not a natural mechanic, I spend more time thinking about stuff than it takes me to do it. I have friends that can listen to something run and 10 seconds later tell you whats wrong lol it pisses me off!

I have had my 240 for 6 years and it never ran right. Never. Maybe get a few minutes at a time. Got an echo and it works till the chain wears out! I hope i can fix mine and sell it. Thanks Husqvarna u trolls

    Thanks for this!
What carb did you end up buying for it? My 240 is doing the same thing, same situation. Bought new, never ran correctly always had issues. Wouldn't mind fixing it to sell and then *gasp* get a portable electric saw. I just don't do enough to even justify this little saw. A bit of camping, and small yard clean-up. No serious bucking.

It was basically a no name carb kit off Amazon. Cheapest one with all the little bits to accompany it, including tuning screwdriver. Sorry that saw has turned you off gassers. It almost turned my FIL over to Stihl. GASP… What a POS right.

@@Man-TimeIt's more I just don't have the room to haul it around along with a gas can and with no need for cutting big stuff... I prefer gassers though; if i can get it running and it's fun to use I might keep it around.
