I am doing almost identical to you. I’m finishing building a 40x75 shop. I got the JLG 1930 used for $2400 from an individual. I didn’t have a preference as I just wanted a scissor lift and would have gone with whatever worked and was cheapest. They are handy. Used mine to put up purlins and weld up the building. Will use it to hang lights and electrical next. Good little lift you have there. Be safe. Best wishes.

The 71 versions are supposed to have a one ring piston and the old type bar tensioning setup. There are also minor differences between the two main case halfs, 71 to 72 just a little more metal in serten spots. other then that there basically identical.. . About 2010 was the end of the gen1 72s and the start of the strato air design, BS..... Other wize known as X-torque. They have the compression release on top, with the blue choke lever not gray, on the emissions complaint 372s after 2010 or so

This guy knows his crap and thanks to him, saved me thousands. Rebuild HSU 4 back in April. Four different rebuild kits and still one gasket was not correct. Ended up making the gasket from a knock-off gasket kit. Also put heat shield between PS reservoir and manifold/exhaust stack which after hours of work in 102 degree heat, PS was sitting at 175, far below the 350+. That kinda heat (maybe boiling point sometimes) also causes problems on my old steering cylinder seals. Doesn't help having hood and sides closing the reservoir up against the manifold. Even thought about installing a fan to blow on it. Also ordered me a Westendorf thanks to you!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a question. On the lowering and raising of the ports. Cant you just take off the bottom skirt of the piston more so you don't have to hog the shiznet out of the ports?

That baffle is there for a reason!! Diffuser. You need a pre filter on that hard filter.

Time plus oil. I just soak things in oil and wait a few days, capillary action does its job.

I learned alot on how to do certain things on this motor by watching this video. Thanks for making it. I wish I knew what tool I need to remove the paw pulley on the front of the crank to replace that oil seal. These Honda motors are garbage. That's why people are always working on them. I have a brand new machine fg110 Honda gx25 I bought new and used once then stored it for a few years and went to use it and after replacing the carb, plug, bulb, oil, found it has 0 compression. I took the motor apart and found the problem in the rings. A brand new Honda motor that has piston ring issues Lol. Im done buying over priced crap ill buy the cheapest I can find from now on because nothing last long anymore.

I have same mower. How tight do u tighten the 1-1/8 bolts that hold bearings. I was told that they need to be tight. I had to replace my whole support housing with new bearings. Wasn’t fun. The castle nut wasn’t tight on mine either. Great video

I think there was a bad air leak at some point and it overheated the crank and damaged the bearing. And then the rest snowballed, get some good replacement parts and rebuild it the correct way and you should have a good saw for a long time. I got a holzforma 372xp clone saw and i tore it down and put oem bearings which is the skf and then put a used oem crank in it and then a hyway pop up top end it in along with a oem carb and a oem coil and the thing runs and performs just like an oem saw

Is it the right way. Ya, it worked out, so that's as good as any other way that fixes it.

I wouldn't use a grinding disc until I used a hammer and chisel to remove the rusty scale first to be able to have a good idea just how weak the metal is. Once cleaned up use bead sealer, let it dry before putting the tire on the bead.

mine also doesn't have numbers on the serial tag, just says holzfforma, for the working man on it!

the needle bearing on the clutch drum is shipped dry is the first thing i realized when i got mine right out of the box!
