Here's a weekly test of of Warrick County's Siren system tested on the Saturdays I call them (cause they forget). Most of their sirens are Sentry 10Vs with an active Sterling M-5 in Newburgh. But, as you can already tell, this setup is a bit unique with an old Model 2 mounted on the pole. No clue if it's still used or not. It could be a backup that can be activated inside but no confirmation on that. I recorded this same siren a couple years back and the Model 2 did nothing as well. The only reason for the redo was the fact that the original video got corrupted and I had to use audio recorded from my phone. This time around, I had more equipment setup including a scanner.
Enjoy, and as always comment, like, and subscribe for more. Thanks!

"This is not a test, only a test"
I'm on the fire department in Chandler and dispatch in the next county over... i hear Warrick dispatch a lot, and this dispatcher blurs her words a bit. She's saying 'This has been a test' but it comes out more as 'This's been'
+Katherine Schmalz Okay, thanks for telling me!
BWAHAHAHHAHHHAHAHAHAAHAHAAAHAAHAHAHAHHHAHHHAHH I HEARD THAT TOO
The sentry 10v is holding a model 2 😮
I guess the girl on the radio was tired that day. "This is not a test. A test only of the severe disaster warning for Warrick county"
Till I realized she said "This has been a test, a test only of the severe disaster warning for Warrick County"
nothings better then a sentry
Was I the only one who heard a slight hiccup on the wibdup?
no i heard it. it sounded a little sick.
Slight?? Well anyway, it was the capacitors because the siren is single phase
It’s a. Model 2
This reminds me of a model 2 and a t-121 I found, I don't remember if it was in north dakota or minnesota though, so I can't give the location
This is not a test only a test thats confusing
Yup
Siren location Tennyson Water Utility on State Road 161
Nice! That model 2 isn't held on by much!
+Machine Man Thanks. It's barely held on by anything.
He is right
Why is there a model 2 attached to it?
That siren is probably their backup.
Anyone know what's with the hiccup on the windup?
Single phase motor capacitors.
What was that odd sound at the beginning sounded like a hiccup
+Pro Viper That's the centrifugal switch.
+PingasTheFourth Yep
can you record an eclipse 8 if so nesbit misssissippi 1105 hwy51
+Brandon Meraz Sorry, that's too far away, but I do plan on recording an eclipse 8 at some point.
What's that siren below it?
Some_Chevys Sirens and Cars A Model 2
Federal Signal Model 2
What is the model 2 for
What is the Model 2 for?
is that a model 2 siren on sentry 10v pole?
Yes, that is correct
@@DSRX100 Can you record the model 2 to sound off??
Doesn't it look like when they go off sentrys grow and when the turn off they shrink?
no problem
I'm sorry but the fact that you have to CALL them to remind them to test just cracks me up
Is that model 2 there to replace that?
No. It's the other way around. The Model 2, I think, is just used as a backup.
+DSRX100 ok thanks and can you check out my p50 video?
+DSRX100 How would the Model 2 activate as a backup? Is that system automatic?
+Brett Ireland The system the Sentry is on is activated by central dispatch, but I think the Model 2 can only be activated from inside the fire station that is adjacent to it.
+DSRX100 did you know that there is a new air raid siren out called the talking air raid siren?
She said this has been a test lol
Did she seriously say at the end "This is not a test" and then something about it was being a test I'm confused...
+Brandon Straight I know right?!? ?????
BOB!theGMObanana that was not a joke that was serious
I'm taken just today

+Paul Spomer it's okay.
Odd windup hiccup
