ok please keep me updated...... let me know when you have a siren for sale because again we live in a rual area with no tornado siren so we could really use one. of course I won't set it off if there is no tornado. I try to find a system that watches to see when there is a tornado warning then it will activate it and make it run for 5 minutes then make it shut off or something like that. do you know of anything that would do this? Thanks-Jake
Look at the Siren Enthusiast facebook page. A lot of folks have them for sale of there. There are also many places such as West Shore Services in Michigan that will sell them.
The STH on the left is from Mead park and the RSH on the right was at a pump station. Both came down in 2018. The STH that I believe your thinking of was replaced by an Eclipse recently.
@@Midwest_Sirens i have a 3450 rpm motor, but nothing to put it on, and i think it needs new bearings, because it runs with a slight grinding noise. Is it direct drive to the chopper? I was thinking about using it with a squirrel cage blower, but it would be like hurricane force winds coming out of it.
The wind down time is insane with decreased air resistance

5:11 I love how you can see the imperfections
Imperfections?
idk how to explain it, but like, maybe the imbalance of the rotor? you see how it kinda like, wobbles around, that's what i'm talking about
@@wigwagstudios2474 thats because the chopper is matching with the frame rate of the camera, if it wobbled around it would hit the side of the stator.
@@Midwest_SirensI see what he’s saying. Probably when it was machined it wasn’t perfectly centered which is why it wobbles. You can hear it too.
Nice! I can’t wait to do this with my STH-10B
Amazing!
Nice! Are these going up anywhere?
That sounds interesting

@@Midwest_Sirens ok thank you so much! do you know of a siren controler I can get?
@@JakeMiller-wc4ck I would recommend getting an FC, you can easily connect them to 120V coil motor starter.

When did White Bear Lake remove their STH-10? This was the one by the school right?

What about to build a Sentry 20V2T-C which is customized to 12/16 ports and uses STH-10 rotors on the bottom and add Sentry 16 port on top.
@@carlosethangodinez6656 bolt holes would not line up and I do not have the units in order to do that
Customized as Federal/Sentry 12/16 ports 20v2t DIY made
The siren on the left is the STH 10 and I one on the right is the RSH?
I would say they're both STH-10's because they both have the fittings to put horns in. I could be wrong maybe the RSH has those horn fitting openings.
@@keystonestatesirens RSH-10s use the same castings for the rotor and stator assemblies as the STH-10. These are both STHs.
do these use induction motors?
i live in a rual area with no tornado siren we could use one
I want sentry 20v2t with STH10 rotor which is 12 ports on the bottom and add 16 ports on top
Is this the one Coen gave u?
Left STH is one Nate F gave me, right one is the RSH you and coen helped me with
