hey, looks like it doesnt come with the long wire that youd need to install it? (i mean a long wire from the outside, to a plugpoint inside your house) Id need like 30 feet
Jeff. My light fixture is on the exterior wall 10 feet directly above the back door I want to monitor. Straight above it. Would that Ring Floodlight cam point straight down to view it? Does it point straight down or at least capture the view directly beneath ?
Can the ring camera be used for live view? If so is there a delay and how much of a delay is there?

Interesting… I’m about to install my ring floodlight wired cam, which I thought to install it where my current floodlight is, operated by a switch. So this camera with the floodlight, will the lights be on constantly? Or how do the lights work? My switch turns the floodlight off and on. I want to be able to do that still, without turning off the camera when I turn the lights on or off. Is this possible? Or there are no options to turn the lights on or off using the switch? Is it better to wire the camera in a location where there are no switches involved?

I have a new home that doesn’t have an existing light fixture just the wiring sticking out between brick wall. How do I install the mounting plate?
I was going to get the cheaper model but they dont have black colour (sales trick?) so i grabbed the Pro. Installation is easy and setup is very straight forward. You can pair it to work along with your Doorbell so they both can start recording at the same time. I was looking around for the lumens of their LED flood lights but no information is available. It turns out they are no different from traditional Krypton bulbs. Very happy with the purchase.

The fixing is not ideal for UK outside Brick Wall. We don't use the silver metal junction box as featured here in the demonstration. We simply fix the bracket of the floodlight to the brick wall, then connect the wiring to a side waterproof compartment of the floodlight. I was just about to buy Ring floodlight cam plus, but when I saw this demonstration I changed my mind. The wiring system is not the standard that we use here in the UK for outside floodlight.
I agree there are a variety of different ways to do this one but ultimately I did what the customer wanted.
