I have own swann since 2018 and have zero issues with the cameras or HD drive.. its a very reliable system.. downfall is the app is a dinosaur and needs to be updated..

Bought this system x3. Set up pretty easy. Image quality very good. Connection is glitchy (unit or my wifi? not sure)Wish I had done more PIR research. at 20' above the ground I've tried to maximize my PIR motion detection range by setting PIR horizontal to the ground, which some threads indicate is optimal. This is a compromise between light distance and desired camera views since camera and PIR angles are same. Is there a system that actually uses camera for motion detection?
Does this camera have a built in browser letting you watch it from a Windows PC using a browser like firefox?

I need something quick. I just built a fence to stop 60+ schoolkids cutting through my yard, & they’re retaliating by ripping my signs off & busted a beer bottle on my driveway. I’m thinking buy Wyze V3 Pro or OG until I can thoroughly research what I need. Does that sound like a good plan to you?

How can I leave the light on without turning off with the movement?
My swann cameras audio has been skipping lately also. Even from the NVR.
Hoping they can fix that.
Second week into setup, motion detection playback recordings stopped. Swann techs only provide same reset process over and over. I hope it will get resolved but this is a VERY temperamental, buggy system.

I am still fighting with swann on there warranty !! Never buy them again. I have switched to Reolink!!

Can a flood light cam wifi be jammed with an sd card?
It will continue to record but you will not get notifications and no access to the camera until the jammer is gone…you will get the recording though.
That's still not helpful. All the thief has to do is pull out the SD card while the Wi-Fi is being jammed.

Ring is pretty reliable and has a good app…if they can only upgrade their resolution…thanks for watching!

This being as cheap as it is for 4k shows how much ring is limiting their customers base right now it seems; unless they're waiting for the some next breakthrough in camera 4k technology they could just throw one of these in their cameras

Clock is ticking for ring because my $100/yr grandfather subscription price is ending 2025. By then if there are better prices I‘ll probably dump my current outdated setup.
I wish we had more color temperature options, 5k = prison yard
There is barely any functionality on the floodlight…also no schedules or dusk to dawn.

Now why can't reolink make a 4k floodlight cam like this? Seriously, I still have a bunch of ring cameras that I want to change out but I can't because my ring floodlight cameras work flawless still after 3 years. I just want a 4k wireless camera ECO system that has local recording. I'm done with this cloud recording bs. I don't even mind a yearly subscription but not for cloud storage but to keed the app innovation going.

Ahh! the old Swann, their chips are made by Huawei and their software is flooded with backdoors. Even their PC software is sketchy af.
Do yourselves a favor and avoid these devices. I had one at home and it didn't take me too long to realize that packages were being sent to CHINA servers all the time.
This is probably the worst outdoor camera/system. Think you for saving us from considering this system. I'll go with reolink.

I don't know why these companies keep using suppose to be sirens on floodlight security cameras, Like who is you kiddin with that toy a$$ sound that wouldn't even scare a cat. Wouldn't even waste money on this crap.
These styles of Flood cams are ugly and old to me, I’ll be glad when a company adopts a more stylish and modern style.
This camera is full of bugs. At night everything is super dark. Without a doubt not worth anything. I returned mine to Sam’s Club.
