I got the xjt lite for my tandem x18. I was able to bind to my jumper receivers and ver1 frsky receivers. Yahoooooo
Great vid as usual :) throttle cut is there and simple to add, go to mixer tab, click and hold throttle tab, click edit, scroll to throttle cut tab and press it, choose active condition, normally i click SF switch once and move it back, then click return, until out of the menu and that's it set .
My point is that they should be in the wizards. Videos showing setups of these ,missing pieces coming soon...
This looks like a good package. I may well look into one of these if a change radio brand next year. I'm not too far from T9 Hobbysport in Bradford, so I may go and take a look.....
Now (as of mid August) the latest Ethos is .3.0 which did address a number of the points raised in this video (such as a pre programmed throttle cut), it was released last month so hopefully even more on the way shortly.
Indeed, see notes in video and video description. I'm feeding back all of my findings and, so far, they appear to be listening...
Could you do a video about how to set up ELRS on this thing? I'm having a hard time figuring it out myself.

Can u show how to setup voice call outs when changing a switch like low med and high rates
I'd like to see one of these come with a "surface mode" because I also drive my RC cars with my x-lite.

hello, I just bought an x20s and on throttle I don’t have the weight / rate function… and I can’t setup the servo for my glow rc plane… what I am doing wrong???
Probably nothing. ETHOS is still an evolving operating system. What is it that you need specifically? Using trims or curves may be the annswer...
Being a new operating system, would this support INAV?
Yes. Nothing special about an INAV radio setup.
Do prefer this radio or the Radiomaster tx16s
For me, I prefer the openness of the RadioMaster. But, ETHOS is very good at complex fixed wing setups.. Happy flying
What would you say is the main benefit for ETHOS vs EdgeTX?
Simplicity.
Is there an easy way to set rates?
That is a great idea for a quick video!
The Ethos way of setting up models should be added to EdgeTX, as an option, when creating a model.
Like a simple mode, that is similar to the Ethos workflow and an advanced mode where you get more or less what you have now. Then new users would have a much easier learning curve.
That is what EdgeTX is looking at. See my video on it... happy flying!

Hi Lee, so this radio does not support FrSky's old protocols?
No ACCST v1 support Internally. You can add an XJT module in the back. I struggle to understand why 3rd parties like the multiprotocol modules can offer this ability but Frsky themselves will not...
@@Painless360 If this radio had CRSF and ACCST compatibility I would consider it. No interest in its current configuration. Something you can feedback to FrSky. I do like their hardware, but not like this.

Arming / motor disable switch should be standard on any RC build, Multi or Fixed wing. 🤔
Agreed, so should questions for expo and some other stuff too. I hope they improve soon...
Seems like a capable OS indeed! Sure hardcore OpenTX users won’t be impressed, but there are others as well..
As most pilots that I know only use about 5-10% of OpenTX and EdgeTX (with quad pilots using a lot less) then most of the stuff the majority of pilots use is already here. For those who use more (LUA scripts, advanced setups, glider fixed wing mixes and nore) they are not here yet..

Only thing I would miss is my INav LUA script 😅

If these model can display the flight will be perfect cause I don't like to where goggle.

Time will tell as at the moment it cant run the INAV LUA Script or show a live FPV feed.

I know it's heresy to say but EdgeTX/OpenTX is not for everyone.
I have lots of pilot's (including a few Patreons) who couldn't get to grips with OpenTX or EdgeTX. No good if you cant use you new powerful radio. EdgeTX is working on making the interface easier to use but some just want to fly, not spend hours trying to setup a radio model. Happy flying!

Making such screen is a total waste without having FPV monitor on it. I'm still waiting for something like TBS Tango to show up.
