Awesome! Glad you're back to this awesome band! Exactly why I love this band soooo much! Every person is gifted and just fit perfectly. Midori and Miyako just have a chemistry that is very rare indeed. Thank you so much for reacting to this video.
This is one of 2 duets Miyako and Midori play instead of their more standard dual solos into harmony. The other is We The United. The one thing that would have upset me more than Lovebites disbanding would have been Midori and Miyako parting ways. They have something very special and seeing that come apart without another decade of them playing together would have been devastating to me.
@@ChadTheDragonLord Miho does do a lot but she isn't exactly Misa or Koga where if either one were to leave their respective bands, the bands would lose a lot of their personalities.

One amazing thing is that Midori and Miyako are TOTALLY different guitarplayers, still they manage to synchronize PERFECTLY during their duets. That's quite magical.
Miyako's musical literacy, reading and writing, is excellent. Midori graduated from GIT Japan, imbued with training for reading and writing music, theory and practice. These two guitarist are very proficiently disciplined playing what was WRITTEN for their respective guitar solos and adheres to time signatures with near precision. Without this foundation (not many metal/rock guitarist wants to undergo formal music education, only those who pursue fusion and jazz will do so), dual guitars become a highly risky deployment within the song, as rehearsals and practices can only offer as much. Notice that both Miyako and Midori, for any song at any different venue, their solos are played near exact as the written material in the studio. But most of all, where dual guitars are harmonizing or synchronized, their level of confidence during the execution is unsurpassed by even the standards of their metal predecessors, especially when they are 20 ft apart separated by the wall of power driven drum beats and bass lines. Their execution is near flawless and seems effortless. and as in Holy War, Midori could even offer that cheeky winky smile to denote how confident she is in execution. What matters is both Miyako and Midori are able to plan and write their part for the compositions, and they stick to it like crazy. A reviewer once asked, between the two who is the better player. In my opinion, if Midori writes, Miyako can execute because of the ability to read, and vice versa. But if the solos are stylish and flashy, but not written, then that might just be a one off thing. Good Musicians evolve and grow. Both Miyako and Midori have gone thru decades in music to know what genre, styles. sound identity and musical dynamics they wanna pursue individually. Musicians of this caliber know of their specific identities to propagate. The future of any guitarist is not totally in the guitar skills and style, but the potential to become accomplished musicians with composing and arrangement abilities. On this token, the late BB KING blues maestro would just focus on 5 notes to create solos for his songs., nothing flashy, stylish or out of the ordinary. Looks simple, yet not many can afford to emulate this, its becos no matter how close they could emulate, they are never BB KING. And that's what identity is. That goes with some other big names as Clapton, Jeff Beck, Al Dimeola, Pat Metheny. Just sharing my 2 cents worth along your comments and thoughts.

@Wave 👋 Potter. Mayoko is an Official Representative of Dean Guitars Japan. I hope that I didn't spell her name wrong. As always, stay happy healthy and safe. Enjoy. P.S. Do you know why the Drummer uses gloves while performing?
There are a few reason some drummers wear gloves, The main one is blisters, they can be very painful. Another reason is for better grip, especially if you tend to sweat a lot. If you notice Haruna uses gloves AND also uses grip tape on her drumsticks. Also wearing gloves helps in the long-term with avoiding injuries. Every time you hit with the drumstick your hand is absorbing the vibration and over the years if you practice almost every day and play a fast hard hitting style like Metal, you might start developing micro-fractures which can lead to more serious injuries later on. One of the downsides of using gloves is that you loose a bit of the feel of the stick in your hand, some drummers are okay with this, others dont like the feel of the gloves. Also some gloves have more padding than others so you have a lot of choice. 🤘🙂🐺
