I wish I knew how to word this better: why do you love this deck so much? What aspects appeal so heavily to you? (Don't mean that in a negative way; generally just curious to know what types of decks you enjoy most) ^_^
I won't speak for snapBolt. I will speak for me. I love these value centric decks. Much like the old modern Jund strategy, the quality of every card is very high so as long as you can cast all your spells you will be favored in 65% of match ups. This makes for rewarding game play.
@@ZergrushEddie not negative at all, great question. I enjoy playing grindy decks like this and UW Evoke that are controlling, slow, often clunky, and have really good inevitability in the long game. I specifically like playing the early game from behind and then stabilizing and taking over the game.
I do love seeing the deck ngl, im not sure I'd personally only run 3 Ephemerates though, it works so well with every creature the deck runs, and multiple copies just means 2 to 4 extra ETB effects a game, not to mention the potential upsides of blanking removal in a creature based deck.
That ponza match was brutal.... Btw have you considered adding bookmarks on the video per match like kali does, i have acidentally refreshed these videos so many times and finding the same match is considerably more dificult without bookmarks. Great vids as allways :3
@@justaghost7084 yeah, I’ve considered adding those. Some people don’t like them as it can give away additional spoilers on what happens. Maybe if enough people want them I can add theme thanks for the suggestion
@@SnapBolt A good alternative could be listing the time stamps in the video description. Accessible if someone wants the info and goes looking for it, but not visible directly in the UA-cam player.
Look, I’m gonna sound crazy here. Like I don’t know much about the format or like I just came over from another format anyways Skull raid is a dope card when run with refurbished familiar. I tried testing skull raid way back when it came out because the draw two option if the opponent is empty handed is insanely dope in concept but it didn’t work out in games Familiar and Raid work so well together and I was just using glint hawk and skyfisher in my recent testing so ephemerate would obviously be a stronger “engine” for eating the opponents mind but I had to try with glint hawk… Which I found out is almost a nonbo in game by the way, glint hawk is like anti affinity for yourself in the first crucial turns
@@sebastianw.1735 yeah, maybe the lootings is what I’m missing. Perhaps I need to go back to 2 looting. Doesn’t seem like much of a change but maybe it makes the deck play a lot more smoothly
@@jordillatser5897 not sure the decks works as well without strands. It’s a key piece to protect the monarch and the initiative. You could play more removal and more of the same creatures but I don’t think it will be as strong
