I don't even remember what this guy did yet everyone pretends like he has the most tragic death in the game. There are way more impactful characters in the game dying yet no one mourns them as much as this one.
@@loganreed9340 i can understand it. There was a two year gap between ARR and Heavensward. Older players spent a lot of time with Haurchefant, and back then it was all just ARR content so there was very little to distract from the ARR relationships.
Nowadays, it hits for sprouts because of the changes. They go into dungeons with Haurchefant in Duty Support. They spend more time with him, again.
Players in the middle were probably more stunned. I know I was. I was used to characters not being truly dead. I expected to go on a quest to bring him back, but no. He was just gone.
Like I said, I get it. That doesn't mean it hits for everyone, but I see why it hits some.
I did not expect to see a sequel to the "helping a player clear the vault for the first time" shory.
Pleasantly surprised. And painfully accurate.
