This is how Mark King can perpetuate Level 42 without anyone else involved. He can produce this all on his own in his home-studio, and release it as 'Level 42'. (incidentally, the band are playing this on their 2018 UK tour, and it sounds a whole lot better played on real instruments (but doesn't it always........)
Nope dull as dish water. I've tried two tracks now from the Sirens release and frankly it just sounds like Mark King messing around in his home studio. Probably in his teeshirt and pants on a Sunday afternoon. There's no songcraft, no virtuosity, no air, no point.....as far as I'm concerned there hasn't been a worthwhile product from Level 42 in over twenty-five years. It doesn't matter because there's plenty of worthwhile music in the fifteen years or so prior to that. How lovely though it would be to one day hear a new Level 42 album with a decent producer, with light and shade, decent lyrics goddamnit and some musical features to look forward to instead of this boring mechanical....thing.
This is clearly supposed to be lighthearted, but the music isn't the least bit happy sounding. It sounds kind of grim, and combined with the lyrics, it conveys quite a lot of frustration. Or maybe it's just me.
Nice little groove but wayy too repetitive imo.. Like the rest of the siren album. Bit of a cop out really only half an album :P (very few different sections)
This is another piece of level 42 brilliance! The great music continues from one of Britain's very best bands of all time.
I'm didn't know they made new stuff, I only heard the classics from my parents. They moved along with the time nicely. Love this!
So catchy. Go guys! ❤️❤️❤️

Great track, love the way it builds up, funky synth, drums, bass etc. This was 2013, when are Level42 going to produce a new album with new material??
Best track on album love it.
Now that I know that's Mark's daughter Marlee singing with him, I like this a lot more. :)
If you listen carefully, this groove is very similar to the “Chinese Way”.
I thought exactly the same, yes definite similarities & some interesting chord changes!
Class !!!
Awsome !
CLASSx42!
Who is ,Second Voice? Marlee?
better live!
Build Myself A Rocket
if Level 42 made music for How It's Made
Does anyone know the songwriting credits for this song?
Mark King, that's it.
