    Confession: We messed up a few times with the roll 🤓Don't feel bad if you don't get it on the first roll... Do feel anxiety if you still don't get it after the 3rd roll heh 😆...PS: If you use 3 cups of cooked rice like us in the video, it will produce about 3 or 4 rolls! AND feel free to substitute any of the ingredients to your liking!

    I love this channel, it is teaching me so much. I am British but I currently live in the US and I have just started to learn Korean and cook Korean food. I have to drive for an over an hour to my nearest Korean food market but it is so worth it. Thank so much guys ❤️

    Instead of cutting, you can also keep the shrimp straight by bending it opposite to the way it wants to curve and that will cause it to crack in a few places.

      Or cut some bamboo skewers down and thread the shrimp on them. Leave an inch or so so you can remove the skewer after frying the shrimp.

    I like to experiment with my cooking, and my 어머니 always flips out when I alter Korean recipes. My favorite kimbap is made with kimchi fried rice (cooked separately) and left over bulgogi/bulkalbi. And, I never slice the rolls, unless I take the kimbap to a party or someone's home. In the end, my 어머니 has also stopped slicing kimbap rolls when she and I make them together. I'd love to know what you think of my variation on kimbap when you try it! 안녕히 가세요!

    IM MAKING THIS TOMORROW!! This was the easiest explanation vid ive found yet to make kimbap...Also iNever knew the brown stuff was burdock root. That’s probably why my stomach hurts after eating kimbap(allergic 😅). Still yummy, and still gonna eat it. New sub 😊...now excuse me while i prep the kitchen 👩🏽‍🍳

    The main difference in seasoning of Japanese sushi and Korean kimbab is : sugar and vinegar for Japanese sushi and sesame oil and salt for Korean kimbab!

      it's best to use short grain white rice (sometimes just called sushi rice) for this :)
