September 2019 I found my boyfriend shot at work, the baby was 7 weeks old.. after that 7 weeks later I lost my childhood best friend to cancer … 3 weeks later was the anniversary of my fathers death 4 weeks after that the anniversary of my mothers death… 6 weeks later my high school best friend was the first in my state to die from Covid complications.. then immediately was the lockdown.. I couldn’t come up for air..
I basically became catatonic until the one year anniversary of finding Jason around midnight that night I had an extreme spiritual experience that changed everything and put me on that path…
Thank you for sharing bin such a raw way ❤️💪

Thank you for sharing. I recently got an ADHD diagnosis at age 42, on top of trauma from a recent abusive relationship. I know all to well how frustrating and awful it is to be stuck in that DMN loop. I received my Mendi a couple of months ago after seeing your review and I am training every day. I am very grateful for the work you do and even though I live in the nordics I would never have heard about the device without following your channel. So thanks again, you are really making a difference in not just your own life but thousands of us out here. Here's a hi-five and a hug from Oslo, Norway.

I take Adderall for ADHD. I would like to get off if it and I’m looking at getting the Mendi. How is your ADHD from working with Mendi every day? And trauma recovery? I had trauma a few years ago that made my ADHD much worse. I feel like trauma is much harder to recover from than depression. Has the Mendi helped with your sense of self?

@Tnijo If you have trauma energy built up inside, use the David Hawkins book to try and release that energy. You might notice it is a lot easier to focus if you have less of the phrenetic energy inside of you. Then you can really start training with the Mendi to further build those focus connections in your frontal lobe. Mendi helps with my singular point meditations (Mendi session, then meditation session) that help me feel more connected to the universe and not worry so much about my sense of self. Becoming more selfless :)

Cody, I'm so very sorry for your loss. I'm glad to hear that you're pulling through this. Indeed, everything that we as a human race are going through had to have made it all the worse on you. And not to sound weird or anything but seeing and feeling your pain is very endearing and my heart really goes out to you. You're a very brave man, thank you for sharing your feelings like that. Best of luck on your journey to better health. I believe this will definitely make you a better doctor in your field than I'm sure you already are. And congratulations to you and your wife with your new baby. God bless the three of you.

So in other news, I thought to hold off buying Mendi until they release v2.0 as it would fix some of the issues you mentioned, but screw it, I will get this one and next one when it comes out as well, especially if it is as good as you clearly think it is.
I use light and sound machines for meditation as well as just sit classic zen, but want to help kids focus and Mendi seems like a good device for that.

Thanks for this Cody I like the candor.
I find that if you have problems with trauma it gets locked inside you and the best thing to do is to journal it with complete clarity.
I find meditation can just push trauma down and forced one to try and work over it rather than to deal with the root of it.
Medication does this also, tech such as the Mendi or Muse can help give you feedback on your progress but is not a means to an end.
    This is my experience anyway.

Just one thing about self training. Neorythm is certainly helpful, however for people who don't know about meditation and brainwaves it can feel like you are lost. Even the names of the different modes look quite similar.
Mendi and neorythm are however, really good.

Don’t stop SSRIs cold turkey, you need to gradually taper, your motor skills and your equilibrium is off. Your natural chemicals are blocked when you take SSRIs and now they need to go back to normal.

I'm really interested in this conversation and have a number of questions. #1 mendi PFC focus was helpful for getting off the SSRI because you were not present. Would it have been productive or counterproductive at an earlier time a year before when you had to process your grief? Does PFC focus facilitate the burying of invasive thoughts which are really subconscious things that need to come out and that you need to process properly? And what is the benefit (or lack thereof) of Mendi PFC training for anxiety generally, the original symptom for which the SSRI was needed?

Thank you for opening up like this and sharing. In my experience in the past when I get into such state where I feel hopeless and without options, meditation just get me more into the bad thoughts cycle but what was helping me more was journaling, however ridiculous things I would put in there, I would just write whatever bothered me and what I found wrong and over and over and that would help me more then anything. But then meditation once my mind is cleared, otherwise meditation would just be terrible as I would be alone with thoughts of doom and gloom.

Amazing story! I am now in immigration from my home in Russia started studies in English and doing some business here as only income. That's cool to hear real man story of transformation and handling depressing experience. We do need that expressions and recommendations to reflect ourselfs, I felt it very strongly in those 12 minutes of the video. I felt that I didn't have money enoight to solve all my mental health "problems" which are mostly questions about functions and normal dispersion to feel social perception, so decision to search through neural devices again lead me now to ordering mendi as my personal responsibility to mentoring myself with a mirror of my brain activity. The main questions I have other than fighting anxiety and depression, Mendi should also help with Distraction disorder (ADHD) and focus problems? Isn't it a better solution than traditional CBT and behavioral therapy to decrease ADHD symptoms (excepting the medication for brain blood flow)?
