This UA-cam channel is dedicated to Tekken :) The best fighting game to ever grace this beautiful planet!
I remade this because my understanding of the character is greater today
thats honestly how i feel like every few weeks playing with jin. Im always learning something new everytime i play him. "oh I can approach his 50/50s this way, or I could approach wake ups this way. I could even approach how to play defensively this way with him." its amazing. Its like jin teaches me so much about tekken everytime I play him. You have to know when certain playstyles or movepool excels better than other movesets at a given time in a match. Like you can easily center your gameplay around his f4 or mishimia style. This is all amazing so a person who knows how to transition from one strategy to the next can make jin a monster.
Is it possible that I can play against you I need some training bro main man
Excellent guide. Would like to pick him up but I do t think I would do him justice yet.
Hey MainManSWE, who do you think has the best understanding of Jin (in terms of streamer/youtuber/pro players) ?
@@mondo689 watch cherryberrymango, he already mentioned in the beginning that he is the jin god himself for him.. he streams often and also speaks really good english
Jin is only hard because you wanna keep the hood on.
yeah it looks cool with the hood 😂
Good comment
😂😂😂😂
Exactly lol
Fucking facts lmao
I noticed that when I learn to play Jin i automatically improve my play with all my other mains. You really do need to be aware, stick to the fundamentals and be precise.
Yeah you right
This is what Jin gets for unlearning the Mishima Style in T4.
JK really, he's best boi.
He need that fast hellsweep
Blame Heihachi for shooting him
@@milosaga5450 what about his devil form 🙂
Meanwhile dvj having the mishima and kazama styles mixed together
Jin's parry makes him op if you're good with it.
Every Char can become OP in the right hands :P
I’ve mained Jin for about 4 years (Tekken 3, 5, 6, TT2). Jin is my favorite character because out of everyone in the roster, he’s the only one I can use against everyone else because his wide array of tools. Jin’s “gameplan” is knowing your opponent’s character and the opponent’s weaknesses, then picking which moves and strategies to use against said opponent.
Difficult, but satisfying
4 years? Did you mean 14? 24? I don't mean to call you out or anything, it's your life and I don't pay your grocery bill, but you started playing Tekken 4 years ago, and started with 3? Why?
It’s like Harada watched this video and took personal offense to it
I only play Jin Kazama. Everything you are saying is right but do not forget about the hop kick launcher the armor 3+4 can can be blocked but also a great mix up 1+2 knockback splat triple punch and b1 stance cancelling for mix ups, I can't kbd well but the stance cancel allows me to change the positioning of my character very quickly
I picked up Jin back in Tekken 6 when I wanted a Mishima that didn't play like a Mishima. Has the Mishima philosophy but with a considerably different set of tools and implementations.
I think I got the hang of him pretty well. He's very fun to play as my main.
I really stuck with him for his swag but really though, ever since I've practiced new moves, I still don't think I've excelled in playing him. Like, I've been with him since Tekken 5, but damn is he hard to master.
Tried learning Jin for my first character...
I play Paul now
FATHER can you pass me the thumbnail without text, looks so great
Honestly, I didn't like Jin at first he didn't really interest me until I started playing him. Then I realized how cool he is
I didn’t hear you mention f+4. That’s one of Jin’s best moves.
He did, but he tried to make it sound like the follow up was difficult
f4 is too good of a move.
Jin is a jack of all trades but a master of none.
Thanks that video clear many things in my mind... i'm doing my best to master his moves
Hmm, he's a very solid char with many abusive moves though; ff2/ b 2, 1/ 2, 1 & that damn f4 = A safe tracking CH mid that can transition into Zen crushes. I wish my char had just one move as half as silly as F4.
Same, but I don't want any of that cheese on my plate
Jin is so hard because all we wanna do is spam electrics into zen cancels lol
Bro the alternative ki charge is (DB 1+2)
And you have another launch (UF 4) jin is best
That Arsenalty Merch Tho
what a good explanation
Please do a video on why Noctis is easy to play 😊
Jin is one of the most awesome characters ever. he's got style and finesse in his moves and stances. and yes of course very powerful. great great character. I just wish I was better with him
@@TheLurkerAtTheThreshold This motivated me cause he’s my main. ♥️
Bro most of moves are related to zenshin, so after u punch or kick he can pose into zenshin where he use some pretty powerfull shots

i've mained jin since i was a kid, mastering jin is a journey. then you see noctis players show up and it completely devalues all the years of training XD
As noctis does,gifted brat 😋
been playing jin since tekken 4 and then people way past my level
@Nick Morgan are you mastered in tekken 5 ?
@Nick Morgan hes nerfed into the ground one of the weakest dude's in the game
exactly wtf
You forgot about the risk of cutting oneself with all that edge.
This is not Naruto, son.
@@wildman7220 Funny you should mention that, given how Sasuke mirrors Jin in many aspects.
@@redblack8766 The 2010 Live Action movie Jin is like totally Sasuke, but the real Jin is flawess.
@@wildman7220 Quality of the character's writing aside (as that's not what I'm getting at) I'm actually talking the other way around. Sasuke is the one who gradually came to resemble Jin so much through the last 2 decades. Don't believe me?
* Bishounen with black hair that juts backward.
* "Too cool to care" attitude.
* Black cursed mark (that they got in the forest no less!) which comes with a winged demonic form.
* Both struggle with the demonic power at first and later learn to control it.
* Tragic anti-hero archetype.
* Avenger archetype.
* Lightning powers (Well, in Jin's case, it's more that the Mishima have such strong ki that it manifests as electricity at times, but you get what I mean).
* Reaching a bit here, but Sasuke excels at fire technique, while Jin's clothes always had a fire motif.
* A cursed bloodline and a dysfunctional (to say the least) family/clan whose remaining members try to kill each other.
* Itachi tells Sasuke to hate and loathe him. Kazuya tells Jin to hate and loathe him.
* Jin sinks the world into war and gets everyone to hate him in order to stop what he considers a greater evil. Sasuke ATTEMPTS to sink the world into war and direct everyone's hatred towards him to achieve what he considers the greater good, only to have some sense literally beaten into him by Naruto.
* Both have a fangirl who will chase them to the ends of Earth no matter how many times they're told it will do them no good to get tangled in their feuds.
@@redblack8766 Considering the original topic, which is edginess, then quality of writing is always present.
Read my comment again. I said that 2010 L.A. Jin resembled Sasuke, not Jin himself.
. Neither Jin or Sasuke are bishounen, learn what that means. Noctis' hair resembles Sasuke's, not Jin's. It's like saying most women resemble each other because they have long hair.
. Saving the world 4 times ( 5, if you consider Devil Within canon ) is completely different from a childish careless attitude. Well, at least for me, that is.
. Cursed Mark is not Sasuke's power, it's not exclusive, it's not demonic ( objectively speaking ), nor shares any body or power similarities with Jin.
. So does Naruto. Does that mean him and Sasuke resemble each other ? No, not really.
. Jin is a tragic hero, lacking tragic flaws, confirmed by Harada himself.
. Jin is not an avenger. He's a lovely man who seeks to protect those who are dear to him, even if it means more suffering on him.
. Kakashi and the 4th Raikage also have strong Lighting powers. Again, if you wanna talk about raw similarities here, choosing Sasuke for that matter is biased.
. That's a very weird comparison, but so does Paul and Kazuya.
. The hatred in Jin's family is reciprocal and real, going to one generation after the other, while in Sasuke's was all due to misunderstandings and manipulations, with one trying to protect his little brother ( poorly ), and the other trying to avenge his name.
. Itachi, his older brother, did it to make Sasuke stronger and a hero out of him. Kazuya, his father, meant what he said to make Jin as much as despicable as him, in order to extract his Devil powers for his own.
. Jin did that, while in Naruto, was Obito, and even then, different wars in different ways for different causes.
. Jin knows what he's doing, Sasuke doesn't. Not to mention he never hurt, nor disliked Xiaoyu, but got away for her own good. Their relationship is actually mature and adult. On the other hand, well, that's not the same for Sasuke and Sakura.
Not sure what your point truly is, nor why you're saying all this, since you're not considering " quality of writing ".
Jin is the embodiment of patience, and then execution with overwhelming precision and power.
Because ofcourse.
Power Is Everything.
SGR SEAN I have never fought a Jin player with patience.
@WingedLeo they pretty similar characters, Vergil is ofcourse is much more intune with his devil side, while jin views it as a curse, but they both have similar goals of simply obtaining more power.
Might can trollz everything
*Parry
Its not power is everything its parry is everything.
I main hwoarang and recently I started playing with Jin, yes he is hard to use but at the same time he is fun to use

Lol, dude in the chat saying being a jack of all trades is better than being a master of one.
Tell that to S1 Jack and Kazumi. "I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times."
Kazumi is not such a good example imo. She can use a lot of her moves in S2. She is kinda more interesting now.
@@Mr440c lay of the butthash he is talking about s1
Not saying that it is certainly the case, just that the full phrase goes:“A jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one.”
Lol, you don't even realise that the actual phrase is in fact, "Jack of all trades, master of none, but better than a master of one."
Being a jack doesn't mean you're mediocre, it means you're competent. i.e. good enough.
Be it one move or several moves, if a character has good enough options for several situations, it's better that someone who can only deal with one thing albeit better than anyone else.
The man who has trained 1000 kicks once is not a jack of all kicks. He's not competent with those 1000 kicks.
AirLancer by kicks you mean jackhammers

"Just F4" - CBM
RIP F4 😢
Pretty much summerizes my struggle as Jin :) The upside is, winning as Jin is so rewarding cause i know i did everything right and used the correct moves etc.
And parry into a full combo is also awesome :)
But its the hard road maining him.
Yes that for sure
Im just some low tier marauder jin but its hella rewarding
I used to main Jin until I realised that he's too hard for me to master, so I decide to main Asuka. Her quick punishes suck ass but she fit my playstyle more.
This is exactly how i feel when I play Jin
Big lol
I main JIN since Tekken 3. for those who started to main him in T6 and above It's easier. But even If we're only talking about T7. he's hard to master, because of the points that TMM mentioned AND the second problem is your own Playstyle. because as you can use Jin for everything, you won't notice that you can play him completely different untill you fight another good Jin "kinda like learning different match ups just for one character". So if you wanna use everything Jin has as good as possible, you might have to change your playstyle, DEPENDING on what type of situation you are in... and to pinpoint your playstyle in any type of situation... well I think Ya'll notice now why Jin is so complicated...
Jin is difficult because his whole character is based around the fundamentals of Tekken...he requires superb understanding of spacing, whiff punishing and pokes though are which not abuseable...it took me nearly two years to understand him and after so many years of playing Jin.. I have come to the realization that he is one of the most difficult and hardest characters to master
The hardest Mishima for sure.
I've been playing him for a year, and I'm still learning new ways to work with him. He's lots of fun
@@commanderlars the hardest mishima is kazuya . Top notch execution required , unsafe af and its hard to surprise your opponent

>forward 4
xd
I don't see how execution makes Kazuya the hardest when mist step gives him an execution shortcut.
Jin has been mah boy since I was a boy.
Jin is a struggle to main because you can really feel how the rest of the cast can perform those situations better, but mostly easier. You always gotta have a back up plan when commiting to an action.
Pressuring with Jin is a perfect example. He has many safe moves and strings, but they barely cut it as safe moves. He doesn't have any + on block that isn't delayed for a mix up or doesn't have large push back. Either way, it resets neutral. Which Jin is ironically a master at. He dominates the neutral.
Jin is a jack of trades, but a dam good one. I love the character and playing him just feels at home for me. Plus the ragdoll effect from his electric hook fist is so dam satisfying.
CHESTO MOTHERFUCKERS!!
Also praise the Jin god CBM, that beautiful bastard is a true inspiration for Jin mains. Love Book too. RunItBlack is aight.
Book is obviously the best but RiB outperformed cbm at tournaments its not fair imo to call cbm better than RiB
@@jahil9778 RiB couldnt hold a candle to CBM....
@@skytv4891 u know that he wiped the floor with cbm right? Im not hatin on cbm nor fanboying RiB but still the community seems delusional in this point
@@jahil9778 I mostly love CBM as player. He sets so many standards for me. I will never forget when he obliterated Knee's yoshi in ranked. Plus it's hilarious when he says "shit" in english. I don't see Book much, which is a shame. I'd love to see more of him.
@Cam H I don't really have much of an opinion on RiB. But something about his play style puts me off. What mostly stands out for me is when he got absolutely rekt by Aris 0-3 when he was playing against subscribers best 2-3. He did weird options to me and dropped combo's consistently. Probably wasn't feeling it idk.
Well, where is the cringe introduction ?
When you get hit by jin so hard you have to make a whole tutorial to make sure you know him and how to punish him.
I play him because he looks cool when he fights

You guys forgot about HAO considered the best jin in ttt2 but sadly he is a feng main, in t7 he uses feng alot, that is why he was erased as one of the best jins and got forgotten
thing is that he is barely active in general which sucks.. there are some top tier matches from his jin in t7 fr at least
My brother used to call Jin cheap, easy, overpowered and gimmicky because i beat his ass all the time with Jin. I have 8 years experience vs his 3 months, yet he still chooses to blame the character rather than himself... He plays Claudio btw.
But lately he picked up Jin himself and that made him stfu, but now he complains about my Geese instead, calling him overpowered everytime I beat him. People will complain about every character they lose to I guess...
totalymew People complain about my Law. They say I play shitty and he's cheap and broken
TheGreatOne I bet they wouldn't complain if they won
I personally still think Jin is rather cheap.
I'm a filthy Gigas main.
Thats what many beginners will say... similar to how many beginners blame jack for having long arms and simple mechanics... The thing is... both jin and jack are not actually spammable character... they need very proper play... but for different reason... Jin.. like this video said... have specific moves for specific conditions.. while jack.. his slow frame moves means you cant just rush in all you like.. Beginners are often using spammable character like : Eddy, Law, Paul etc.. with incredibly fast moves or in the case of Eddy myriad of low attacks...Thinking they re great because they often win a rush in duel.. But once finding a better player who actually able to defend (low parries, ducking a throw, sidestep etc). They will get stuck and dont know what to do and start blaming the character. 10 year old mind. Im a jack main and needs over 700 wins to actually get into juggernaut
Jin is a really good indicator. If a person has ANY complaints about him that says a lot about the type of player he is.
I love Jin's Karate style and he has a good taste in hoodies lol, i just can't stand his emo-edgelord cliché crap.
Rip and I chose Jin as my first character to play, now I main him but I’m still so bad :/
Ive been playin with jin sense tekken 4. He was my first character. I hated him alot because i felt like if pick another character i would have been doing so much better. Now that i have mastered this character ive realized how much fun he is even when you lose your still having a good ass time. I troll ppl with his parry that try to spam plus frames moves even strings that get thrown for mixups. Hes very rewarding an very much the hardest character that ive played with an ive played with just about the whole cast. Besides kazuya an heihachi. I stay with jin💯.
you are getting much more eloquent and animated in your videos and your overall comfort in front of the camera is noticeably growing, much respect to you dude you've been grinding
As a Jin main, I agree to all of this ;w;
One thing about Jin, his jacket. It's cool but who tf tucks in their jacket.
why you not showed up in tournaments even though you play well and better then the other average players in tournament
because he studies, has a family and lives in sweden
well that is acceptable ans at all...
I didnt know Jin was hard to use until multiple people told me he was. Personally for me he's one of the easiest (and OP) Tekken Characters to use, but that might just be because I i'm a True Tekken god with him and always have been since he was first introduced in Tekken 3
Can I see your videos with him?
Thanks very cool.
Full damage combos require a lot of execution with Jin. He gives you a very rewarding feeling.
Solemn Wolf not to mention his wall carry on max dmg combos is also so great

@TalonXI FG I can't believe you actually said that, I would love to see mirror match of the 3 run it black would lose so fast
What makes Jin hard, except the execution, is the fact that he is good at everything, but master at none. He has good and very good moves, but every character does a better job than him at something those being mid's, low's, pressure tools, grabs etc. So, like MainMan said, you have to use everything in your advantage and you have to know the match up very well. Some characters don't need to know match up that well, they can use some moves to lock you down whoever you're playing. I'm maining Jin for 2 years now and only now I can say that I have very good knowledge with him and execution.
If you want to main Jin, it's like marriage, you're making a life long commitment.
Koliko je MainManu kanal porastao kad na njemu vidjam balkance ovih dana.

What CBM interview?!? can't wait!!
Bruh, Kazuya, Jin and Heihachi are just Shotos of the Tekken verse.
Jin was easy back in Tekken 4 and 5 but they started to change his moves set in 6 tt2 and now 7 making him difficult for many to play with.
Also....So many people play as Jin that you get used to playing against Jin. It's not a surprise when every other guy is using Jin or Devil Jin.
also his combos
and understand feels like a mishima due the fact that he has tools like eletric and hellsweep(slower ver) even everyone dont see him as a mishima and most of all his combos become difficult
it requires high excecution the microdash
and also probably the match up
In my opinion he is easy he is just read heavy
Jin need to get back lots of his moves that he had and get rid of those move that fakes and goes into another move....they are too slow.... and he needs to get back his blade kick from Tekken 4 and 5.

Jin mirror matches are interesting to watch because of what was mentioned here by others.
I decided to hop into ranked after mainly playing player match with jin against friends.
I was able to get to atleast brawler my first day of getting back into it, from 3rd kyu when i last played.
I fought so many different jins some focused on poking, some, his stances, other tried to parry every thing, occasionally some had it balanced.
Me im all about the electric, suprise hellsweeps because apparently im.told i got a good wave dash and stance canceling.
Wow so I chose to go for Jin as my main first and Kazuya afterwards and yet Jin is the one I stuck with? But you perfectly described why I use Jin, I feel like I get to use every move he has at some point in a battle, it plays mind games with my opponent, they're always trying to guess my moves.
And Jin's so versatile, he's got a lot to work with and he's tough to play but I love him.
I learned the game with jin and always favoritizing him. Now i played other character such as noctis, leo, paul and such and holy shit now i know how easy tekken can be
Jin is really gonna do something in t8
Jin hard to play? Geese: hold my beer...
I like jin because his moves are realistic unlike other characters who got crazy unrealistic kicks as such, I am a kickboxer in real life, so I appreciate the simplicity of his moves
Easiest EWGF character for me is Jin but most dificult is Heihachi.
Jin is a cool dude, but he is also abusable, there are so many cheesers in low ranks that are carried solely by his strings and stance mixups and have 0 fundamentals. So it's scary when you meet one that actually knows whats going on.
The only abusable move I can think of is f4, which is a CH problem. Even with f4 though you need to be able to have decent movement to convert into a solid combo. Other than that, there's nothing. He can get jabbed out of his hellsweep, and with the trigger happy players in green rank that would happen all too often.
Much like bryan he can string-cheese like crazy. now im not saying his strings are broken, but against unknowing players he can absolutely bulldoze with minimal effort. Try and think back and i can guarantee you that you have met a Jin whose entire gameplan has fallen apart when you start defending his strings properly, much like scrubby bryans.
Me: clicks on this video
(Then sees the broke as hell map)
Still me: WHAT TH-
My mom: mark what's going on
Me:um... nothing
Hypothetically, Jin is kinda the best but also the most difficult character to play, due to his insane parry potential. If someone was capable of parrying everything that can be parried, I think there'd be no debate about him being the strongest character, but that's just way too unrealistic.
Da witchaaaaaa!! Cool sound)
I can’t believe Main Man said “butt fuck” in this video. My world is shattered.
Jin felt hard after Kazuya, but it was balanced with lot of moves and no compulsary crouch dash, required with mishimas.
Background music? Anyone?
Why is there witcher music in the background
... I mean it's not that i'm complaining
I have been playing Jin these past few months and yeah I agree that the character is hard as hell. I'll go back to Paul and then pick up Jin again when I get much better at the game. Jin requires an insane amount of understanding of the fundamentals of the game and a green rank noob like me can't do shit with the character.
If you can master Jin you're a true Tekken God. Little sacks of shit mustn't come here with there Noctis and Negan shit when they had a far easier time mastering those useless and easy to use bullshit characters
To be truly good with Jin you need to have a full grasp of the Tekken fundamentals, every aspect of game bcuz Jin is universal in everything.

Fake sweep,
I tried to play jin for a week, man he's hard af. Went back to king. But i do wish i learn how to play jin soon.
With Jin ewgf followed by combos are hard completed to kazuya
Nah there is only one reason and its because he has shitty range in all of his attacks. Do not try to complicate it.
F4 says hello
